Bellevue, NE

Item was first sighted while on Offutt AFB, looking west at an approx. Altitude of 2000 ft. at a distance of approx. 2 miles from Offutt. It was first considered a possible slow moving aircraft in the traffic pattern. Upon departing Offutt and proceeding west on Capehart Road, the item was witnessed moving at approx. 50-70 knts towards the south/southwest. While stopped on the Capehart/Ft. Crook Road bridge, the object continued south/southwest at a constant speed, still maintaining its mid-level brightness of a gold color, until it quickly faded out as it entered low level clouds. It then hovered there for approx. 1 minute, until it suddenly winked out. The object never appeared to make any sound. With no traffic in the vicinity, no sound could be heard.

Traveling West by car at night, we saw a low-hovering, silent craft to the North. Unable to judge size or distance, either very close or very large, but it was very visible. Triangle-shaped with several red, white lights around the perimeter and one white light on the center of the bottom. Object stayed stationary for several minutes as we drove past it until disappearing into treeline.

Triangular shaped flying object in night sky; moved in a very unusual pattern, going fast at times and slow at other times. Took photos and when I later zoomed in, the flying craft seen in the photo appeared as a triangular shaped white light. Another photo showed it as a triangular shaped blue light. Very strange. My friend and I were driving home on a back road at 11:00 pm, when we saw a really really bright star. She jokingly asked what it was, but suddenly it started to rapidly emerge from the far sky, getting closer each second. It was so bright that it was painful to look at. We slammed on the brakes and got out of the car. We looked up at the white ball of light, which suddenly opened up into a triangle shaped craft with blinding red lights on the right, and blinking green on the left, with a trailing light kind of like a headlight. It flew over head kind of slowly; slow enough for us to get a good look at least, and then it disappeared. Then we looked up at the sky again trying to find it, when all the sudden the sky was lit up with green and red pulsating orbs that were clearly not stars of any sort. This was the scariest night of my life.

Observer background: Masters student currently in 3rd year of coursework in the study or religion. Familiar with some UFO literature. Initially observed what seemed to be a satellite, then realized it was moving in an impossible flight path (e.g. it did not move in a straight line, its speed was inconsistent as it sped up and slowed down). I then further realized I was looking at a point of line that was connected to 2 other points of light, forming a triangle. The triangle object was very large (looked about 4 inches across and not very high up--less than a 1000 ft., I'd estimate), black with shimmering edges, and its lights did not so much pulsate as they did shimmer as well. Called friends to come see what I was looking at, but before they could arrive, the triangle seemed to break apart into 7-8 smaller lights and flew off at impossibly fast speeds, disappearing from view within seconds. We were parked at a church to make a phone call when I looked out the window to my right, and saw three amber colored lights in a triangle with a slightly smaller center light. They were very bright and just above the distant tree line. It seemed to be hovering in place. The object was already there when I noticed it and observed it for about ten seconds when the lights dimmed and disappeared.

Eastham, MA

I went to Nauset Light Beach in Eastham, MA, on Cape Cod last night, August 18, 2015, with four other family members. We have a family home there and are well familiar with the area for more than 40 years. We arrived on the beach probably about 7:45 or 8 pm not too long after sunset. No one in our party had consumed anything intoxicating. The sky was still somewhat bright and just beginning to darken. I lay down on the sand and looked up to search for the first visible star, which I quickly noticed was almost directly overhead. There were almost no other stars out yet, so I was just mindlessly looking at this one. At first I noticed that it seemed to be moving but slowly, not at the rate you would expect for a plane at that height. So then I thought "oh that is not a star perhaps a satelite". To my knowledge I have never (knowingly) seen a satelite before so I took more interest in watching it. It was then that I realized that periodically--perhaps every three or four minutes but not according to any specific regular interval--the movements were nothing like how a plane would move in the sky, they were erratic, zig zag, the light would become still and then shoot forward a short distance, now left, now right. It was strange and intriguing but not alarming to watch this, and it made absolutely no sense to me at all so I called to my 17 year old nephew to give me a reality check (ie, tell me I was nuts and there was nothing strange happening in the sky). He started watching too and almost immediately saw the same strange things. It was a few minutes before we realized that we were actually watching two different lights, and that there was also a third and together they formed an elongated triangle. The three lights seemed to remain equidistant and never broke the elongated triangular shape. I cannot properly estimate the area the shape occupied as it was over our heads I would guess it the size of a large parking lot. Although the light moved around, the area they encompassed always remained directly over our heads--so that despite the erratic and unexpected movements we seemed to observe, they stayed in the same general area the entire time. My sister looked up briefly and told me it was my imagination and that "if you stare at any star long enough it appears to be moving". I am certainly familiar with the general phenomenon she referred to, but what we saw was nothing like this. My nephew and I watched intently for about 30 minutes, and we were on the beach for about an hour all together. The lights would be still and then jerk suddenly in one direction or another left or right or zig zag etc and we would call to each other "Holy crap, did you just see that?" etc. Those exclamations probably happened at least 10 times, and my sister even scolded us for using colorful language becase we didn't actually say Holy Crap and there were children elsewhere on the beach. The night was windy but not overtly so. I did consider if what we say could have been a drone at night, I have only ever seen them during the day but I could not account for how three of them would be able to maintain the shape or what appeared to be orchestrated movement between them--the wind was sufficiently strong coming off of the water and the presumed height of the object, if indeed there was one--that I would think it extremely difficult for a manually operated drone to maintain its general position in the sky let alone maintain a large shape in formation with other manually operated objects, but that would be the most logical explanation. At no time did I ever see a hard outline to the shape, or a surface, or anything else like that. Just the three lights moving in very unexpected ways such as I have never seen any other lights move in the night sky. But nor did I ever see other stars or any light inside the triangular area (which could be one indicator of whethe! r there was a large object occupying the space between the three lights),although the stars were still just coming out so there is every possibility none were yet visible in that area to the naked eye. At times there seemed to be smaller VERY faint lights moving to the to the 'edge' of the area and disappear, but this could have been an optical illusion of the sort my sister had previously described, but they seemed to disperse aight or air around them when they reached the edge of the triangluar space and then were no longer visible. They did not appear to be aircraft of any kind. Soon two planes (I assume) flew very near to the object, neither interacted with it and both seemed to travel in a straight flight path that not change as they approached the triangular area, and neither plane transversed the triangular area. The second plane had a number of bright flashing lights on it of different colors--my nephew said aloud what I was thinking that that plane had very odd lighting on it--look there were too many lights on it and they flashed a lot more than you would expect, the night sky was very clear with little to no clouds. Since my curiosity was somewhat aroused by ! this point I did consider if at least the second plane was there for some observational purpose. I did not and do not want to make more of the 'incident' than what is was--something that seemed very unexpected and somewhat strange. My cellphone battery charge was as always this vacation nearly worn down but I don't think that photographing it would have been of any use and I sincerely doubt that the my camera on phone could pick up starlight at that distance, though I've honestly never tried. At some point I think my sister became alarmed that I was perhaps exciting my nephew and so she called for us to drive back to the house. I should note that there were a number of other people on the beach, there were three bonfires blazing, and no one else appeared to notice anything, nor did we attempt to involve anyone and see if they saw what we saw--that seemed pointless. You would have to be looking closely and intently to have noticed anything out of the ordinary at all. As we left the sky was now bright with stars, and the lights were still visible. Nothing distinguished the lights in question from 'stars' except for the intermittent but very erratic movements and that they seemed clearly linked somehow in an elongated triangle shape (for lack of a more descriptive term). After we left we stopped at Ben and Jerry's for ice cream and did not get back to the house until perhaps 10 o'clock. We did not attempt to sight the lights again so I do not know if they were still there. When we got back to the house I did check myself by staring at the stars intently for a while to test my sister's theory that it was just an optical illusion but at no point did any visible light make any unexpected movement, or do anything other than 'twinkle' in the usual way, and the night was very bright with stars by then as this is a low-light area at night. We had gone to the beach last night to enjoy the air, see some seals (there are tons of them on that beach now) and hopefully see a remnant of the August meteor showers that we have watched on that beach since childhood. I am sure that this description I have written is very mild and boring compared to others you receive and most likely it is easily explainable by known phenomena. It really doesn't make sense that an object large enough to cover that area would not be more visible, would not be seen by other people, and that it would appear in such a relatively populous area. Also my sister and her husband and my niece said quite clearly that they did not see anything that alarmed or intrigued them, so in truth the majority of our party of five did not see what me and my nephew saw. But my nephew and I were both sufficiently startled by what we saw at the time. In the end I cannot escape the fact that I saw something that I cannot explain in the night sky, and it left me feeling slightly bew

Valley Center, KS

After observing many lighted phenomenon in the area for over half a year, I witnessed a triangular shaped craft at very close distance. I was looking to the North over a field at my friend's property at 101st. St. N and Rock Rd. outside of Valley Center, Kansas, when I observed a very bright light at low altitude that appeared to be very close. After several minutes of observation, I decided to pursue the stationary star-like object. I headed N on Rock Road from 101st. st N and estimated the object to be around the intersection of 125th st. and N. Rock road, slightly to the East. As I headed North the light dimmed and faded away. As I approached the intersection of 125th. st and Rock road I slowed down, looked to the East, briefly drove E on 125th street looking for the object and listening for any strange sounds. Nothing was seen or heard so after a few minutes I started driving home. As I approached 101st street headed S. on Rock Road the object reappeared so brightly that I had to squint due to the reflection in my rearview mirror. I immediately pulled a hand bake 180 and headed straight N. back to exactly where I was searching a few minutes before. The object stayed lit up although the "high beams" turned off as I approached. There on the North East corner of 125th and Rock rd. about 100 yards out and 1000 ft. or so up was a levitating triangular craft. As I stood with my car running, one foot out the door, the other inside the car still I stood with the engine running not sure if I should be fleeing or running up in curiosity to get a closer look. The craft was very silent, although it made a slight jet-like noise. It was a very low altitude but it sounded like a jet at high altitude very faintly passing by in the distance. It had three points of thrust, one on each point of the triangle. It had white lights on the leading front edges, red and green lights on the tips of the wings. The craft was so silent that the! person who's field it was hovering over had no clue as he was! working in his garage even closer to the craft than I was and didn't even notice. I was on the fence pole about alerting him but I was not sure how much a person in the country would like a stranger walking up in the dark pointing out strange objects hovering over his property! After observing it levitating at low altitude for two to three minutes it tipped its nose down gently and started lumbering S. as this was the direction the "front" was pointed. I started pursuing the craft at around 60mph, it was moving slightly faster that I was at around 65 mph. As we headed S. on Rock Rd. from 125th N it crossed directly over the street twice, once on a mostly S. course and slightly to the W, an again closer to 101st. st headed S and slightly E. It was due to these crossings that I could get a good sense of how big the craft was, it was definitely wider than the road I was on. I estimate it was at least the width of a 4 lane highway. As I approached 101st. st. N on a southbound! course the craft veered to the SE. I pursued the craft as fast as I safely could as I was on washboarded out old country roads and trying to pay attention to two things at once. Like I said I was able to go about 60, the craft was moving slightly faster. As we crossed 101st. n headed S. on Rock Rd. and it headed to the SE, I saw another ball of light on a NW course approaching. This was coming from the SE on abut a straight NW heading. As the two crafts became closer I realized they were traveling on the same approximate low altitude. Finally when they were very near each other they both simultaneously flashed the "high beams" for a split second and continued on their headings. It was about this time that I stopped pursuing the crafts as they were moving too fast to keep up with. This event occurred after observing the lighted phenomenon for several months in the area starting in Nov of 2014. Many locals in Valley Center have been calling it "drone testing." Upon further investigation into this theory it was revealed that the only drones that fly in Kansas fly out of Manhattan at Fort Riley, they are small drones, they don't levitate, they are the "predator" drones. Wichita is the aircraft capital of the world. It would seem if this is some sort of clandestine government craft the last place they would want to test it is in an area with a population extremely knowledgable in aircraft. The craft I observed completely disappeared, lights, noise, gone and then reappeared. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

My cousins and I were on our way home from vacation. at first I thought I was just hallucinating because I saw a red like hovering about 100 feet above the cars. When it was doing that we only saw 1 red light but then it swept down literally only 1 foot above the cars about 100 feet from my car and tilted that's when I noted 2 red lights about the size of stop lights but I couldn't imagine the size because the lights were distant. It swept over the cars tilted to dodge trees and when we passed there was nothing there. If something flew into those trees they would crash and there was nothing there it was gone. Then our radio that was turned off turned up loud as we passed and was static, then turned off. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

[GEIPAN classification B — Ballon d enfant]

My mom and I were out looking at the Perseids. I was the first one to see it then I pointed it out to my mom. It was a triangle flying really fast from East to West. It was faster than a plane, way faster. The triangle was flying at a low altitude, lower than any planes that we saw tonight. It also seemed like it was gliding in a perfect line. It was also silent, which really surprised us because we taught that with that low altitude we would hear something. We saw it for about 10 seconds then it simply vanished from the night sky. I was at Venetian park in Stockton Ca last night with some friends and as we were conversating one friend all of a sudden shouted ((deleted--"what")) is that! I scanned around to see what he was talking about and when i looked up i saw a triangular formation of 3 blurry white lights. I could not tell if it was a solid triangular craft or 3 seperate orbs butthey looked like they were eminating heat difracting the light around it. sadly it went out of view behind some trees before I could pull out my phone and attempt to record anything on my shitty camera. As I chased after it to get a better view it was just gone but it was at low altitude and only looked like it was going roughly 60 mph southbound. Afte ra few minutes of looking around for more objects another friend of mine pointed a similar formation out but higher and going north possibly the same craft/orbs which just appeared flew for a short distance and suddenly was gone. My initial thought was mabey it was a triangu! lar craft with a partial cloaking device as it did appear to come from nowhere it might have been in the process of cloaking and as I chased it was completely invisible or it sped up I really don't know. I thought I would be more prepared for such a sighting but it actually shook me up a little though I thought I had seen a few, once before for sure but that was a while ago. There did seem to be an influx of helicopter traffic after the sighting over the amount of airplanes flying by which where very distinguishable it was a clear night. The object/s where completely silent.

Coming back from work on train to New Brunswick where I park. Drove out of the parking garage onto French street heading south to Louis street and onto Franklin township. At the light before turning right onto Louis, I looked at the sky, which I always do at that time because the light takes forever and the sky is always beautiful that time of evening. Of course you always see planes coming and going from Newark or the nyc ports, but a) you can usually easily see the shape of an airplane, and the blinking lights...the red one underneath about half way point of the plane, and then the two white or yellow one on both wings. These lights alternate. The typical airplane lights. What I saw was no doubt different. Could have been something terrestrial and maybe not even secret, but there isn't anything like what I saw that I know of. There were three white lights making a perfect equilateral triangle. Not a wide boomerang, and not a narrow christmas tree shape. A 60 degree angle for each of the three angles. This shape/distance/angles stayed 100% constant leading me to beleive it was one vehicle or three vehicles in the most perfect formation ever (definitely the former). The object glided smoothly and somewhat slow. I had my window down and no sound. Maybe the sound was drained out by the noise of downtown New Brunswick, but I hear the rumble of planes all the time over the city noise. The thing that perplexed me further was that I could only make out a very vaugue body to the craft, or even translucent. It was at the time of evening where the sun is almost fully set but there is that residual twilight from the last bits of sunlight hitting and bouncing around in the atmosphere. It wasn't pitch black but a dark blue sky. A sky in which one could make out the body of a plane at the same altitude. The object continued to glide east and my line of sight became blocked by the Robert wood Johnson hospital building.

13/08/2015. I was watching the meteor shower in my back yard in Olds, Alberta. At approximately 0020 hours, I witnessed a large winged triangle shaped object moving across the sky from north to south. It had no lights that I could see. It seemed to be surrounded with a visible outline that ‘rippled’ (as if a pebble thrown into a pond) engulfing the shape till the ripples reached the solid shape. While you could see stars through this ripple effect, the triangle shape and wings appeared solid, obscuring the star light beyond as it moved. It was absolutely silent and moved slowly in a gliding fashion. I watched it for 1-2 minutes, or so. I have never seen anything move like that. It made me extremely uncomfortable/anxious, and, once out of my view, I returned to my house. I am a nurse with a master’s degree and partial completion of my PhD.

I was working late at my computer and needed something from my truck, so I stepped out in the driveway to get it. I then paused for moment and looked up at the sky, as I am always sky watching when I have the opportunity. My field of vision was somewhat limited due to surrounding trees. As I looked up I saw a star that was slightly brighter than the surrounding starts. As I stared at it my eyes began to focus and a realized that it was rotating slightly. It was a triangle with a white light on each tip and a red light in the center It rotated both to the right and left but remained in a constant position. I would guess its altitude to be near 40,000 feet. There was no sound heard. As I watched I tried to see if there was any directional movement but could not see any. I then picked three brighter stars as reference points and located the object slightly off center of the middle of the triangle. I looked away for a while and looked back up to note that the object had moved from slightly off center to a position just inside the perimeter line between two of the reference stars. I went out today, a day later, nearly the same time and could not see any objects within the reference triangle of stars. I would add one more unusual item. While watching the object rotating in position I heard a buzz near me. It sounded like a cell phone on vibrate or a fuel pump in a car. After about five minutes I heard it again. My cell phone was in the house and I had in my hand a fully discharged Ipod. I could not tell where the sound came from. I was standing next to a 2001 CRV which was near the direction of the sound.

Me and my girlfriend were out to watch the meteor shower, and had just turned off the yard light. We were both staring into the sky and simultaneously we both pointed and asked each other "what's that". We could see a large low flying triangular shap zooming across the sky heading directly south. I can't say how fast but I have never seen a plane fly that fast in my life and it was totally dead silent. At its closest point over us you could make out 5 very dim lights, or reflections from another light across the yard. The lights were all white it had one on each "wing" tip one on the point and one halfway between the tips and point on each side. We were looking north east as the meteor shower was supposed to be concentrated in that area, we first spotted the triangle coming over our bins approximately 100 yards directly in front of us. And it vanished above our house to our right seconds later. I am thinking it may be military as we have had Apache helicopters fly low over our farm in day time and people have seen stealth bombers during the day but at very high altitudes. We are almost directly North of a big United States military base on the other side of the sweet grass hills in Montana. I am interested to know how common a sighting like this is around my area, if you guys don't mind thanks

Me and my son were watching the perseid meteor shower when three lights appeared on the horizon. The lights formed a triangle formation and appeared to form a large craft that filled a large area of the sky. We live on the flight path of the local airport and these lights and formation are unlike anything we have seen before. I am also an amateur astronomer and have not seen anything like this in over 20 years of observing. The craft seemed to hover over the horizon for a few minutes and then started travelling at a low altitude before disappearing behind low cloud.
