Triangle over Joliette (Canada), QC · Canada

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

My mom and I were out looking at the Perseids. I was the first one to see it then I pointed it out to my mom. It was a triangle flying really fast from East to West. It was faster than a plane, way faster. The triangle was flying at a low altitude, lower than any planes that we saw tonight. It also seemed like it was gliding in a perfect line. It was also silent, which really surprised us because we taught that with that low altitude we would hear something. We saw it for about 10 seconds then it simply vanished from the night sky. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #121270). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

Canadian military and radar records answer to the Access to Information Act; historic UFO files are held by Library and Archives Canada. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
