The report, as filed

Me and my son were watching the perseid meteor shower when three lights appeared on the horizon. The lights formed a triangle formation and appeared to form a large craft that filled a large area of the sky. We live on the flight path of the local airport and these lights and formation are unlike anything we have seen before. I am also an amateur astronomer and have not seen anything like this in over 20 years of observing. The craft seemed to hover over the horizon for a few minutes and then started travelling at a low altitude before disappearing behind low cloud.

Hi I was looking out of my window, when I noticed something in the corner of my eye, so I grabbed my phone and started to record what looked like a set of wings, then my friend was looking through the binoculars, so I have a look through and all I can say it was a man with wings just gliding it was mad all black apart from the back it had a bright rectangle light on the back I didn't get that on film

At that moment I spotted what I can only describe as a orange orb object hurtling across the sky, it appeared to have a glow about it. It was travelling at quite a pace, before it disappeared from view, as there was a building preventing me from following it with my eyes. I expected it to reappear once it had passed the building, but it did not. It was a surreal moment. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD
