Le 7 octobre 1954 à 9h deux personnes aperçoivent à la verticale du clocher de l'église un engin de forme ovale couleur aluminium très brillant. L'engin se déplace SE-NO. La durée d'observation est d'une minute. Cette observation fait l'objet d'une fiche de renseignement succincte par la gendarmerie nationale. Ce type d'observation peut avoir diverses origines (reflet de soleil sur un avion, ballon, bolide…). Le GEIPAN classe ce cas C par manque d'information. Le 4 octobre 1954 entre 18h40 et 19h, une fillette de 10 ans (T1) circulant à bicyclette voit à 20 m d’elle un « engin » qu’elle prend d’abord pour une tente de camping. Aux dires de l'enfant, l’engin de forme ovale pouvait mesurer 2 m de large et 2,5-3 m de haut, avec une forme conique au-dessus, et repose au sol sur un socle rectangulaire. Quand elle s’approche de l'engin, une trappe (1 x 0,6 m) se lève. Un homme saute à terre et referme la trappe derrière lui puis reste immobile. De taille normale il a une « forme carrée » sur la tête, des yeux perçants, un long vêtement à poils longs brun-roux. Quand l’homme s’avance, l’enfant prise de peur s’enfuit sans se retourner. Deux autres personnes signalent à la même heure et dans la direction où se trouvait la fillette, l’un « un engin lumineux d’un rouge très vif » dont il ne se préoccupe pas, l’autre un bruit d’écrémeuse qui la fait sortir de chez elle. Le père de l'enfant et un voisin se rendent sur les lieux de l'observation le même jour à 21h et notent que l’herbe est « quelque peu froissée dans un sens giratoire ». La gendarmerie se rendra sur les lieux le 6 octobre mais ne pourra faire aucune constatation. Aucune autre précision ne sera recueillie lors de l'enquête. En résumé pour ce cas il existe quatre faits distincts : - un témoin unique qui voit un engin et "un être humain" près de son chemin. Elle ne voit pas l'engin décoller. - simultanément un agriculteur voit dans le ciel un engin lumineux d'un rouge très vif. - une troisième personne entend longuement un bruit ressemblant à celui que fait une écrémeuse. -le père de l'enfant et un agriculteur trouveront à 21 h le même soir sur le lieu d'observation du T1,de l'herbe froissée dans un sens giratoire. Aucun élément probant ne garantit que ces quatre faits soient liés. Si on considère qu'ils sont liés on peut trouver une hypothèse à considérer : -plusieurs éléments semblent compatibles avec un hélicoptère, peut-être un Bell 47, vu par l’avant (forme ovale) : le support du rotor, la trappe, le bruit, le froissement de l’herbe, le pilote. Le lieu (« sur un chemin herbeux débouchant dans une petite clairière ») pourrait se prêter à un atterrissage. Par contre le socle rectangulaire, la position de la trappe (si elle avait été sur le côté, le témoin aurait-il pu noter sa largeur ?) et la lumière rouge-vif de l’objet sont moins aisés à interpréter. Ce cas s'avère d'une étrangeté moyenne puisqu'une hypothèse simple peut convenir à peu près. Sa consistance est faible cas s'appuyant essentiellement sur un témoin unique (enfant) et avec une observation courte. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas en C par manque d'information et de recoupement. One thin, bright ellipse, like polished metal, hovered for 5-8 seconds, dropped down 3,000' in 3 seconds, hovered again and faded out after a total of 20 seconds in view. Aug' 6, 1954; San Antonio, Texas. 6 p.m. Witness: mechanical engineer L.H. Hormer. One intensely white elliptical light changed to yellow, then orange, then pink, four or five times while flying straight and level for 5 minutes.

Ladd AFB, Alaska. 8:16 p.m. Witnesses: pilot lst Lt. D. Dickman and radar operator lst Lt. T. Davies in USAF F-94 jet interceptor (s/n 49-2522). One white, oval light which changed to red at higher altitude, flew straight and level for 2 minutes, then climbed at phenomenal speed on an erratic flight path. Sighting lasted 10 minutes.

Each object seemed to be changing position vertically by climbing or diving as if to hold formation. Formation came from the northwest, made a 90* overhead, and flew away to the southwest.
