Faint lights appeared in the sky in the formation of a large chevron. They moved in sync like birds in flight at just above tree-line level. The entire sighting lasted about 5 seconds before the lights disappeared. If this was a craft, it was completely non-material as it was a totally clear night.

Encinitas, CA
Seen over Encinitas boulevard two blocks up the road from Moonlight State Beach. First seen in the southeast corner of the sky, below Orion, but right of Sirius. It moved northwest and after approximately 10 seconds faded from view. It consisted of three white lights that appeared in a rigid formation like on the wingtips and nose of a chevron-shaped craft. No body was visible between the lights, even as they passed in front of a moonlit cloud. The motion of the lights seemed to suggest that the craft was relatively close to the ground, within drone flight range. If it was as close as it appeared to be, the wingspan would be well over 20 feet. It was also completely silent and was definitely close enough to have been heard if it was a drone or an airplane. It moved at a constant speed, fairly quickly, but slower than an airplane would be at that distance. This also happened just over 24 hours after SpaceX launched a test rocket over San Diego, which many reported as a UFO.

My daughter and I saw a group of about 25 chevron shaped crafts all glowing a soft orange color and in what looked like a staggered military style formation flying from North to South, which made no sound all while maintaining there formation and speed until I lost sight of them in the night sky

Vertical flashing red lights in zig-zag formation. No noise present. When directly overhead they appeared to be chevron in shape. We suspect a nighttime sighting, and have amended the time above, in order to reflect a nighttime sighting. PD

Just outside of downtown Asheville I saw an unidentified craft in the night sky. I was outside of my apartment smoking a cigarette and looking at the stars, when I saw a rounded wing like shape (like a boomerang) enter the periphery of my view and fly across my field of sight. The object was moving extraordinarily fast and the entire sighting lasted a couple seconds. The craft had no visible lights and I only glimpsed it because it must have been flying at a low altitude (speculation). This object made no noise whatsoever. I submitted a UFO sighting report on the nuforc.org website and accidentally had the zip code auto populated with an old address. the correct zip is 28804. After I sent in the report I clicked onto the home page and saw this account: Madison, Wisconsin, Tuesday, November 07, 2017, @ 7:35 p.m. (Central)- An adult male, who describes himself as former military, witnessed a dark-colored triangle-, or boomerang-shaped, object fly rapidly overhead in the night sky, exhibiting no navigation lights. Immediately after the object had passed overhead, a smaller object streaked overhead, apparently in pursuit of the triangular craft. The whole incident occurred in an estimated 5 seconds. The craft blinked on out of no where. Clear sky. They blinked on one by one. There were multiple lights on the Vee-shape. The event lasted just under 10 seconds and one by one they blinked out. Disappeared. Five minutes later three Military jets showed up in the same spot. They were traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon reaching the location they made a U-Turn and flew back towards the Northwest. The craft were BIG! BRIGHT! And BEAUTIFUL! They resembled The Phoenix Lights. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hello Peter, I have not has a chance to check the link as to what happened in Phoenix last night but I did check a few minutes ago. It was a meteor. I do allot of night sky photography up here on the mountain and I am familiar with all the atmospheric distortion and tricks the night sky can play on you. I am also an Engineer who is prone to logic, science and rationality. I have seen many things in the night sky. From Iridium satellites to meteors to space junk so I have a very good understanding of what is naturally and what is not. I am working on the drawing for you now. Was outside smoking. Very dim light blue lights (angled) on 2 sides were observed. Craft was not more than 3000 to 5000 foot elevation and ran totally silent. Speed about 200 to 250 mph. The ufo has been hovering over a field across the street from my house every evening for 3 nights straight. it is chevron shaped, pulsating from green, red, white, and blue. Normally I would assume it is a star, however this object is changing location by roughly 3-400 yards every night. Please contact me.

I walked out of my apartment complex and a strange light caught my eye in the sky.. I stood there for a good 5-10 min looking at it. There was 4-5 individual white sphere shapes on each side that looked like a chevron/V-shape. Each sphere had a slight individual movement to it. I work in aviation and I never seen anything like this before. There were no red or green navigation lights or strobes of any kind,, which any aircraft or drone would have.

We 1st thought it was a jet approaching from over the ocean. After several minutes it hadnt changed location appreciably and we paid closer attention to it. It was far enough away not to be able to count, but it had several very bright, iridescent lights: cobalt blue, red and white. Looking thru binoculars, it was an oblong angular shape, most like a chevron. It definitely moved a bit in the sky, making us think it might be a weather balloon, but it didnt have any apparent mass, and it had moved up in the sky line, but also side to side. The object was visible for at least 1.5 hrs. It was gone when we checked again before going to bed around midnight We were a group of rational, smart (including an engineer, a future engineer, ex-air force officer) with no good explanation for what we were seeing. It was definitely not a celestial object. We suspect a sighting of the star called, "Sirius." PD

A large boomerang or chevron shaped object flying east to west. Altitude/air speed unknown, but it was moving very fast and it was large. No sound. It was blacked out with no running lights. The shape of the object against a background of stars was the only thing that gave it away. As I watched it fly overhead and turned west to watch it fly away, a smaller and faster object from the Northeast flew in behind it. All of this was over in 5 seconds. I'm 50, x-military and have never seen anything like this before. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hi Peter, It was 2x the size of a full moon, however boomerang shaped and completely dark, but duller than the night sky. I picked it up almost directly above me at 70 degrees and followed it to about 140, until I lost it. It blocked star light as passed. It was moving very very fast and the size / speed / altitude did not equate properly in my mind based on anything I've previously experienced. Then something smaller with a dull white light closed on it from a few degrees North East. It all took 4-5 seconds max. There was no sound. The only think I equate it to would be a B2 at 2,000 feet traveling at Mach 10 with no sound. Impossible. On the evening of 11-20-17 at approximately 18:45 my wife and I were walking our dog in a large, dark, field on the edge of Clinton, Iowa. I was admiring the clear sky when I notice a very large cluster of faint lights travelling quickly from south to north. I immediately asked my wife if she saw it and she replied yes. She suggested that I shine a very powerful flashlight at it, and I did so to no avail. It disappeared very quickly. My boyfriend yelled for me to hurry outside. All he said is what is that. I took too long to focus on it and all I could see was that it was something with no lights. He said it was a plane but the lights were so dim. Like not lights to see ahead of you, more like interior lights. whhaaatever. ok... The next night he yells again. Not to be tricked again i stayed on the couch. He comes running in saying he saw" something HUGE in the sky. all black, no lights, so sound with a line coming out of the back of it connected to a smaller version of it. like towing it along" trippin! but he's so enthusiastic I keep looking around. "Look!" he says again and points. then i see one. just a small boomerang shape gliding across the sky. after a couple minutes there's another one. and another. For about two or three hours we watched these things sail silently above us. so many we actually got bored looking at them. The next night. He's down on the street and I'm up on the balcony telling him something. I glance down the road and see "the HUGE one". It was shaped like a bomber but rounded. absolutely silent. so low! like i could throw a rock and hit it. just sailing peacefully straight down the road. we were both staring. awestruck. I remember saying it reminded me of a mantaray. I don't know why. When we talked later he said the back of it looked like it was waving like a flag but I didn't notice that. I can't stress enough how big it was. and then, more little ones. Finally we decide on a plan of action. Shine a spotlight flashlight at one. And we do just that. And it comes to a slow stop, changes direction, and glides away. Never saw another one. Worst plan ever. I still look up hoping, wishing the batteries had been dead in that flashlight. These things were solid black with a solid outline, not birds or anything like that. They were there. My boyfriend and I both agree they appeared two dimensional. like a shadow. or more like a cutout. I can't explain it better than that

I was viewing the clear sky this morning, as I was walking across the parking lot in Research Park. I was surprised to see a V-shaped pattern of lights going from North to South. There was one lead light and maybe 3-4 lights equally distanced down each side. It almost appeared that the body inside the object was translucent, it seemed that I could see through it. I heard no sound and it appeared to be effortlessly gliding across the sky. It passed over in five to ten seconds.

My friend pointed to the low sky above us, “What is that?” He didn’t have his glasses on. A large heron? No it was gliding, low and quietly. I had to re-adjust my focus for it not to seemingly shapeshift. It was dimly lit with 6 large circular, effervescent lights. “That is a craft- a UFO” It felt far away yet very low. No size description adequately captures it. It did not carry an ominous vibe, a silent observer. It made me feel grounded. We ran around to the front of the house, it had gone. I asked him to draw what he saw, He drew a boomerang shape and said it had a soft green glow. I drew mine, a chevron with 6 lights. We both have never seen a UFO before.

Witness a double chevron shaped formation of vibrating lights. Each arm had 3 lights (12 total). Estimated altitude 2 miles. Traversed 90 degrees of sky in 2-3 seconds, estimated speed 5000-7000 MPH. Lights were unlike any plane, helicopter, drone or any other type of craft I have ever seen. The lights vibrated in a manner that made it appear warped, almost fuzzy. I immediately filed a report with mufon Case number 85712. Lights appeared to be a silvery/green color, again distorted by warping/vibrating effect. Object was coming out of the nne and traveled to the south at an angle of about 80 degrees at it zenith to my perspective. No noise, no trail, no bemas or anything of the sort.

ME and my girlfriend and her friend were driving down the road and i looked up and saw oddly strange light formation above in the sky, the lights were yellowish fiery color looked like a cheveron shape and it moved from east to west slowly then the lights started to fade and the lights moved in separate directions. for some reason, source of report indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. From our position, flashing lights visible to the north/northeast, approximately 60-70 degrees ascension. Could only see lights, arranged in Chevron pattern. Lights flashing were white, orange/red, and green. Appeared to be hovering over St. Stephen area of New Brunswick. Made rapid movements in a linear manner but overall remaining in the same position. I have seen this formation/phenomenon approximately 2 years ago, in the exact same location. We watched it for at least 20 minutes, through binoculars and returned about an hour later, and it was still there.

Around 8:20 PM my husband called me outside to view what he thought were planes flying closely together. There were six white/yellow lights in the sky; however, they appeared to be hovering stationary in the distance. That was the first indication that they weren't planes. Additionally, I've never seen planes travel so closely together in the form of a chevron. Friends have reported (to me) seeing the same thing, at the same time in different parts of the St. Louis metro area.

One object in a v-shape of lights. It looked like 6 lights on each side. They were not extremely bright from my view but very noticeable. It flew slowly and there was no sound. It looked like it was flying low but at a further distance. I'm around the airport area and see plenty of planes day and night and never anything like this.

It looked like a V shaped, very large flying object. It was silent and moving slowly. It turned from south to west while we were watching it and went behind a building so we couldn’t see it anymore. It had 5 large red dome lights that were solid on its undercarriage and then small red outline lights all the way around it’s V shape that were also solid.
