The report, as filed
Just outside of downtown Asheville I saw an unidentified craft in the night sky. I was outside of my apartment smoking a cigarette and looking at the stars, when I saw a rounded wing like shape (like a boomerang) enter the periphery of my view and fly across my field of sight. The object was moving extraordinarily fast and the entire sighting lasted a couple seconds. The craft had no visible lights and I only glimpsed it because it must have been flying at a low altitude (speculation). This object made no noise whatsoever. Signed, ((name deleted)) ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) ((To NUFORC Webmaster)), my name is ((name deleted)). I submitted a UFO sighting report on the nuforc.org website and accidentally had the zip code auto populated with an old address. the correct zip is 28804. After I sent in the report I clicked onto the home page and saw this account: Madison, Wisconsin, Tuesday, November 07, 2017, @ 7:35 p.m. (Central)- An adult male, who describes himself as former military, witnessed a dark-colored triangle-, or boomerang-shaped, object fly rapidly overhead in the night sky, exhibiting no navigation lights. Immediately after the object had passed overhead, a smaller object streaked overhead, apparently in pursuit of the triangular craft. The whole incident occurred in an estimated 5 seconds. This report is nearly identical to what I witnessed. Have there been many of these types of sightings? thanks. all the best to you, ((END ADDENDUM))

You will notice in the picture that the object went from one side of the street lying to the other on the left, it seem to move faster than light, as there is an orb behind it and on the right it’s as if it sits still, it’s like a green bottom light so bright it has an aura around it [NUFORC annotation: Camera Anomaly - Certain]

My neighbor and I were on my back deck October 15th, 2022 at around 7:45pm facing north westward with a pretty good view of the sky. There are trees surrounding the observable sky with one black walnut in particular north north west that is fairly close to the house but at this time of year has minimal leaves. I don’t know who saw it first but we both ended up seeing bright lights that appeared one at a time in the sky beyond the walnut tree. I stood to get an unobstructed view from a smaller tree branch. A bright white light slowly moved up the sky 1-2 inches or so from my viewpoint and faded out. It was then immediately replaced by a similar light not exactly on the same trajectory but close and the starting point was behind where the previous light ended. Could be that one light was circling back around and then showing itself again or a few different lights lit up one after the other but were from different sources. I don’t know. The light did not seem to be a reflection but self emanating. My neighbor reported thinking it had a cross shape within the light that rotated but my eyes only saw a round light. It happened five or six times in a span of approximately 10-15 seconds. We stood staring at the sky for a few minutes then saw one more light doing the same thing (appearing, moving in a similar direction, then fading out) however this light was off more to the West. We had been looking at the bats, and pointing out the first stars, and watching planes fly over far in the distance so we made note that there were no planes flying in the north or west that we saw during the time of the event.

A large circle of lights non blinking. About the size of the moon but not close to the moon. Stationary. After awhile it began to fade. Very bright.

My Fiancé and I were traveling north west toward Asheville, North Carolina. I saw a craft that was flying slowly in our direction following the edge of the interstate. Traffic was very heavy at the time and we were barely moving and were able to see it very clearly. My fiancé kept saying that it must be an airplane and I kept telling her that it was moving way too slow to be an airplane. As it kept getting closer it became obvious to her that it was not an airplane, so she thought it may be a drone. Then as it got even closer it turned and you could see clearly that it was a large triangle shaped object and at that point her mind was blown and she was fully convinced that it had to be some type of UFO. I was able to take a picture on my cell phone that has a live short video feed. The craziest thing is that there was a spiracle blue ball following in front of it but kept changing shapes that we did not see with the naked eye, but is visible in the picture/short live video.

The blue/green light flashed three times. The first time was further away and I was reading, so I didn't know quite what it was. The second time it happened, it was closer. The third time, the light filled my whole bedroom. Heard a “wom wom” for the second two times. There's nothing in my neighborhood that could've produced this sort of light or noise.

Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) over Asheville, NC. Observed a UFO in the eastern night sky over Haw Creek residential area in Asheville, North Carolina on the night of 14 January 2021, around 10:30pm? I stood outside of my home for over 30 minutes watching this very bright object move silently in the sky along a southerly track. There were no blinking navigation lights as a helicopter or aircraft would present. There were, however, lights which were rotating in a clockwise motion around the bottom of the craft and there was one central light at the top of the object that remained motionless. This UFO was elongated and oval in shape hovering at an altitude I would guess to be between 500 to 1000 feet. From this altitude, the object would have to have been much larger than a Boeing 777 aircraft due to the size it present in the sky. It moved downward as well as from side to side. It didn't move erratically or in jerky motions. Instead, it moved very slowly as though it was watching something or was doing some type of reconnaissance. I had my phone, but it was so dark on this night that the camera could not acquire a focused image to record either as a photograph or video. The iPhone did place a square in my view finder which indicated that it did detect an object though. At or about 10:50 pm, the object sped off at high speed in an upward direction to the west and disappeared from view. To my knowledge, two other people saw the object as well and could not identify it as a normal aircraft.
