The craft was almost silent...I could not tell if I was hearing it or another craft off in the distance. It appeared to be very low when first sighted, but higher just before it disappeared. My friend and I were on my driveway behind my house and it was dark.

March 17, 2015 · 10:30 PM · TRIANGLE

Vale, NC

Strange activity throughout the day, such as WiFi interference, cable TV Interference, lots of airplanes & such, BUT one such odd event was a triangular shaped objects (below radar) in the sky that was motionless, but had a mostly red glow with green hue to it. to it, after a short period, one made a u-turn & darted off towards Charlotte, & the other object lowered down & hovered, once the 1st one was gone, the other one stayed behind, shortly after the 1st one left, something came back from the direction that the 1st one went to, but this time it was a red ball, similar to a firework & and it appeared to have landed to across the highway, not to be seen again.after that, the 2nd one was gone. my son, his wife, my husband, and our neighbors, AND their friends saw this.

Morganton, NC

This is the second time my family has been outside and seen several circular objects with flashing lights glide across the sky. There were two very bright ones that the smaller ones would go towards and back from. The colors were green, red, white, and yellow. One flew very close to us and we were able to see the under belly of the ship. It had 3 white lights and one red light.

March 17, 2015 · 9:23 PM · FIREBALL

Tarawa Terrace, NC

At first, it was thought to be a shooting star except it was large as it passed over the roof tops. Object came to a stop above Camp Lejeune area near the airstation. It had an orange glow and looked circular through binoculars. It slowly sank under the tree line and roughly 4 helicopters circled it until out of sight. Observers are military spouses, 2 females, one male. All were gathered outside on a front porch talking. First female saw what she assumed was a shooting star, when it suddenly stopped and began hovering she pointed it out to the second female. She then found her husband's binoculars and began focusing in on it. Because the first female had glasses she gave them to the second femal who described seeing one side lit up looking like fire with a round shape on the top right portion. Male was then called over and confirmed what second female saw and they then filled him in on what they had saw before his arrival. All three then began seeing helicopters fly in that direction and circle the object until it was no longer visible.

Upon the passing of the moon the object vanished as the edges of the two orbs passed one another. I have photographic evidence of the sighting which I posted on on Facebook to find if anyone else may have witnessed the anomaly that I viewed. No reports of the phenomenon have been obtained, but perhaps there are some I am unaware of to this point. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

February 28, 2015 · 8:00 PM · UNKNOWN

Goldsboro, NC

I saw an unidentified object on the evening of Sunday (sic. Saturday), February 28, 2015, in the sky over the Rosewood Community west of Goldsboro, NC. Estimated position was Latitude: 35.3732178, Longitude: -78.0755461. Night was cold (~40 degrees) and partly cloudy. My son also saw the object and agreed that he wasn’t familiar with it. By the time I got binoculars, the object was obscured by trees, so I never got a closer look. The object consisted of three lights: two small white lights that flickered rapidly, and a larger orange, or amber, light that pulsated. I could not make out a shape, just lights. The object moved very slowly from northeast to southwest. At times, I wasn't sure it was moving at all. I kept checking it against fixed stars. It seemed to be moving too slowly to be a conventional aircraft. It also made no sound. We saw other aircraft in the air at the same time, but they were obviously conventional aircraft. The UFO was not. Given our proximity to an Air Force base, I suppose it could have been some type of unconventional aircraft, but I’ve not seen one like it before. Perhaps it was very, very high, and that’s why it seemed to be moving so slowly and silently. I HAVE seen some kind of experimental aircraft in our skies before. I’ve seen the glow from jet engines suddenly wink out and the planes go both black and completely silent at night. I assume it’s some kind of new propulsion system. I asked somebody who has connections with the base if they fly test flights at night and he just smiled knowingly and said, “No comment.” So who knows. I am 50ish, male, well-educated, and reasonably sane. My son is a teenager. Both of us have good vision and are somewhat skeptical about paranormal stuff.

February 21, 2015 · 5:30 PM · TRIANGLE

Browns Summit, NC

About 935pm, I walked outside to let the dog out. I looked up in the sky and saw 3 glowing red/orangish circles in a perfect triangle shape. I tried to take a picture but my flash was on. When I went to turn it off, a neighbor came pulling up fast. He said "did you see that"!!! The bottom right one disappeared very quickly going to the right. It was like it flew right and quickly vanished. During the confusing of us talking the others just kinda vanish. After I came inside, needless to say, I was pretty shook up at what I had seen. I immediately google what I saw and seen several pictures and logs of the exact thing I seen. Pretty weird 1st time I've ever seen something like this before. Durham, NC

There was no sound ... not even airplane sounds. As it passed by a a star (or maybe it was Venus?) it appeared to cover the view of the star. This is when I became really convinced that I was not looking at 3 separate planes but, instead, a single and very large object. I then saw some kind of plane appear from the left of the unidentified object. I could gauge any distance. It may have just been a regular plane. The object moved forward and behind the tree line, leaving me unable to observe it.

Old Fort, NC

I went out on the porch and was looking at the stars which were especially beautiful this night. I saw a red light flashing just behind some trees across the road. I thought it was a tower at first, but then I noticed a second red flashing light. I walked into the yard to get a better view and saw that they were moving just above the tree line. They moved to my left and they were flashing in a perfect call and response pattern. They moved fluidly and appeared to be separate objects. Their distance was not constant. They continued around to the left and over the hill until I could not see them. I came inside and searched for similar sightings and found one report that described two lights "dancing in the sky". This description fits what I saw. It was quite beautiful. I came out 5 minutes later and saw them near the mountains west of here, where they soon were out of sight. I saw an airplane plane fly overhead soon after they disappeared. I do not know if that is related. One other thing is that while I was watching them when they were within appx. 100 yards from me, I heard a crash in the house, which scared the death out of me. I ran in and my microphone had tipped over and landed on the ground. I don't know if ufos knock over microphones, but if they do, I find that very rude. I am 33 years old and this is my first sighting. It was very exciting, but I'm also a little shaken because they were so close to the house.

Bolivia, NC

Approximately 8:30 ish pm, February 11, 2015, took the dogs out to pee, looked to the left, towards Holden Beach area, saw a longish amber light, very fuzzy, burning in the sky. Then a squarish amber light appeared to the left of the long light, swiftly moved towards and over it, then both disappeared. The square light was very defined, sharp, crisp edges. When I saw the longish light, called to husband to come and help identify and in a matter of seconds, both were gone. Like opening a door and closing it. No sound or odor; dogs didn't react in any way. Too quick for husband to see.

Then it turned and I could see it was shaped like a hat with a brim. It then started going higher in the sky. It was not going super fast, but obviously faster than an airplane. It just kept going up and up and getting smaller and smaller until it was no longer visible.

Went back inside to tell my parents to look at it, came back out and it was gone, came back out and it was back. Stayed again for another 3-4 min. And was gone again. Then came back with a horizontal light beam like a spot light that was a long beam of light.

January 21, 2015 · 7:10 PM · FORMATION

Raleigh, NC

We were on our patio talking and one of us looked up and said "look, what is that"? I looked up to see a boomerang shaped object in perfect formation with many white lights. To me it looked like a perfect bird formation flying high and glowing. It seemed too high to be birds and they were glowing light fluorescent. It also looked like stars in a perfect V-formation, moving across sky towards the North. One of us walked and kept up with it and it got smaller and smaller and then disappeared. It made no sound whatsoever. It seemed to be moving faster than an airplane. I am 54 years old and have never seen anything like this before. This is my first UFO sighting.

Durham, NC

While standing outside watching intermittent local airplane traffic I noticed three or so objects directly overhead and very high in the sky, beyond commercial jet altitudes. The day was clear, sunny and cloudless, and no planes were in the vicinity at the time of the sighting. The objects were circular in shape but not spherical, dime-sized and white in color, emitting no noticeable light. They did not fly into view from a particular direction but rather just appeared in the area of sky I happened to be watching. For approximately 15 to 20 seconds they were moving in a general area relative to one another, then seemed to cluster into a tighter group. Immediately after that, 2 or 3 more objects appeared within the group. This lasted maybe 10 or 15 seconds before 2 or 3 more appeared within the group making the total number of objects 8 or so. They remained in this cluster for another 30 seconds before seeming to vanish with no discernible movement in an! y direction. The entire sighting lasted roughly 2 minutes.

Myself and 3 others were returning from a trip to downtown Asheville at approximately 22:00. We all were looking at constellations, as I am an astrophysics major, and Astronomy is a necessary study. In between the Orion and Sagittarius constellations, I noticed two bright objects that looked like stars, but were not known stars, nor planets. These lights could have been sattelites, but I have seen moving objects in the sky here that are moving erratically before, with others. The two lights then moved slowly toward the center sky, and twisted Around each other somewhat erratically. They were very high in altitude and faint compared to Sirius, Venus, and Alpha Centauri. They then grew fainter and began to move much more quickly, then either disappeared due to speed or the lights being dimmed. Judging by their altitude as triangulated with the mountain range in the back ground. They were following the general direction of the train tracks, and moving from around 2 knots to around 870 knots from a near standstill. They retained either a linear or somewhat triangular pattern, though the two rear lights have have been one reflecting off of frost in the atmosphere, or some other atmospheric disturbance. This is not the first time I have seen these particular lights, and they are sometimes accompanied by infrasonic pitches of around 2-4 Hz or less, and sometimes a faint red center light. The dogs in the neighborhood all get very loud when the infrasound begins, and if it flies at a lower altitude they all attempt to go inside or seek other shelter. I have detected very little radio static on any frequencies from the objects, and no noticeable sound. I have yet to try radar detection.
