The report, as filed
Upon the passing of the moon the object vanished as the edges of the two orbs passed one another. I have photographic evidence of the sighting which I posted on on Facebook to find if anyone else may have witnessed the anomaly that I viewed. No reports of the phenomenon have been obtained, but perhaps there are some I am unaware of to this point. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

I was in my backyard with my dog and looking at the night sky. I could hear the high altitude planes flying overhead. The sky was dark, clear with a few clouds. A dark color, cone shaped object flew over my house, over my back yard and over the tree line at slow speed. The object disappeared over the tree line. The direction of travel was approximately SE to NW. The object was completely silent and there were no lights. I don’t know if cone shape is the right description but it was like a very narrow triangle or very long spear shape. The object was as long as a commercial airliner and in my estimation it was flying at about 3,000 to 5,000 feet above ground level. We have a large airport about 20-25 miles away and a small commercial airport about 2 miles from our house. The object flew lower than any aircraft I usually see flying around my house. I don’t ever recall seeing any night flying in and out of the small airport that is near our house. I served over 20 years in the military and been around many aircraft at night. I also served over 19 years as a police officer and worked near the major airport in Charlotte. I have never seen anything that looked like this and flew as slow as it did without making a sound. My mother and I were watching the meteor shower, then saw this light that was acting strange. Wasn't a plane because it was moving in all directions very slowly. There was so clouds and if you looked real close you could see a spotlight on the clouds. Both would rise, go down and side to side. No noise was present. They almost seem to be searching. Sun started coming up and they shot away like a bullet from a gun. Couldn't tell the shape. I've seen 2 ufos before but didn't act this strange.

I was driving and saw the object, pointed it out to my sister next to me. She also saw it. Unsure of the shape, as we saw from a distance. It was glowing green, my sister said it was red, but I saw green. It was in our sights for about 10 seconds, before disappear behind the landscape trees. Not sure if it landed.

I was sitting on my back porch talking on my cell phone looking up at the sky. There was a large flash of light for a couple of seconds and then it was gone? The flash appeared to be from space... Not within our atmosphere. Could that have been a star exploding? Bright white light...

I was feeding my horse and I noticed a long cigar snapped object moving at high altitude. About the time I noticed it I saw two more behind it. These initial 3 were moving relatively fast and were out I my sight in less than a minute. I looked to the left and saw two more craft the same size moving the same speed also at high altitude.one was below the other and I actually got a video of it on my iPhone. It was hard to film because it was daylight and the craft were very far away. I noticed there was no sound from any of these craft and it was unlike the object I saw in 2014 with flashing lights at high altitude .

As i looked back up in the sky, an object flew past overhead. At first I thought it was a shooting star because of the speed but the colors changed from red to yellow or amber. I have never seen anything move that fast in my life. Although I should have been able to watch it for a while longer it seemed to simply disappear in front of me.
