Light over Bolivia, NC

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Approximately 8:30 ish pm, February 11, 2015, took the dogs out to pee, looked to the left, towards Holden Beach area, saw a longish amber light, very fuzzy, burning in the sky. Then a squarish amber light appeared to the left of the long light, swiftly moved towards and over it, then both disappeared. The square light was very defined, sharp, crisp edges. When I saw the longish light, called to husband to come and help identify and in a matter of seconds, both were gone. Like opening a door and closing it. No sound or odor; dogs didn't react in any way. Too quick for husband to see.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #117274). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
