Lafayette, CA

One dark amber light about the same (apparent) altitude, size and speed of the ISS crossed almost directly overhead moving from west to east as seen from my location in the center of downtown Lafayette, CA. I first noticed it overhead at 6:08 PM as it was still coming from the western nighttime sky and it continued toward the east in a straight line. I continued to watch it until it reached the eastern horizon. In the moonlight I noticed it had a tail, possibly a smoke trail, which was long, light colored, and straight extending backwards a long way. once I saw the tail and because of its relatively slow speed, I realized it was probably not be ISS because a smoke trail would not appear the same as it does in our atmosphere. Due to its slow speed, I assume it could not have been a meteor. The object's color could possibly be described as a fire viewed from a great distance which makes sense because it had what appeared as a smoke trail behind it. it had no b! linking lights and did not change in color even as it reached the eastern horizon. It also appeared as though it were at high altitude based on observations of many aircraft over my lifetime. I could not hear any sound from it. Note; because of my swing shift hours of work at a dark hilltop secure location from which I am now retired, I have witnessed many ISS crossings at night as well as one very striking meteor as it was breaking up, over the years. So I am familiar with the apparent speed and color of the ISS as well as the differences between aircraft at night as well as meteors.

Desert Hot Springs, CA

I saw a bright light in the north west sky which I thought was a shooting star, as I continued watching it it failed to dissipate as I expected. I could make out a shape that was similar to a missile ( approximately 7-10 full size commercial jet liners in length). Then I saw a blinking light accompanying, or possibly on the object. The main brilliant light then broke into what appeared to be 4-5 individual brilliant lights and continued flying horizontally until they disappeared over the eastern horizon. Vacaville, CA

It was 6:05 pm when I was walking from my next door neighbor's house towards my house when I looked up and saw a round or egg shape ball of light coming very fast up in the sky. It must have been going 1500-2500 knots. I stopped to watch it as it flew like a missile or a rocket ball that had tracer light streaming behind it. It flew at an angle up and over the direction of Travis Air Force Base. My neighbor and I both watched it slow down to a stop and appeared to be angled down as we could see light coming out of it. We both agreed that it was egg or round in shape. There was no sound at all and it seemed to be about the same size as a four door car. We both kept walking following behind it as not to loose it. It flew a distance I see plains fly all the time accept plains take about 5-10 minutes do fly the same distance. I could not believe what I was seeing. I went in my house to document what I had just seen and I found my digital recorder and tried to go! back over everything that we witnessed. When I went back outside from the original event it was 6:25 pm it is now 7:30 pm as I am writing this report and I just herd sirens like police with a weird humming and now I am hearing a loud airplane engine as I look there is what looks like a boing 777 flying in a big circle around my house and area where the said event took place. Costa Mesa, CA

Spotted bright oval shaped craft moving north to south slowly in the morning. From My point in Costa Mesa, it looked to be over Santa Ana, or Tustin. About 6 or 7 miles from me. Brightly lit, not moving fast. Went behind a low hanging cloud.

December 18, 2015 · 1:00 PM · SPHERE

Sonoma, CA

It was a bright, clear day in December 2015, about 60 degrees and sunny, and I went out to get some firewood. I happened to look up and there was a round (spherical), bronze-colored craft sitting stationary over my house. It had a metallic looking appearance and on the side that I was looking at it looked to me like there were part concave or convex areas to it. I was looking at it facing north, looking up over my house. There were no propellers, so it could not have been a drone, and no sound. It was approximately 300 ft. above my house and if I were to estimate width, I would say maybe 20 to 30 feet wide. I was the only witness and I watched it for about 1 to 2 minutes. Here is another additional part to my story. I have followed the UFO media reports for quite a few years and always thought that it would be great to see one, to validate for myself that they exist. I would get my camera, get a witness, document everything, etc. After watching the craft, I continued on out to the wood pile and got the logs for my fireplace, and forgot about the entire thing… I remembered about 3 ½ weeks later, into January of this year , about witnessing the craft. I am totally perplexed about that part of my story. I am a 62 year old woman with grandkids, have run a business for many years, and have lived here for 28 years. There would be no reason for me to fabricate this event. As to who was piloting it - ??

Ventura, CA

My wife and I were traveling east on the 126 between Victoria and Kimball. Just prior to reaching the Kimball exit, we both observed a very bright light suddenly appear in the sky over Saticoy or maybe Santa Paula. We both watched it as it began to move toward the ground. Our first impression was that it may have been a meteor but then it began to emit a blue light and increase speed rapidly before turning to an orange glow and then disappearing below the treeline. I work in aerospace and I'm familiar with both military and civilian aircraft. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

San Pedro, CA

I was on top of the hill that overlooks Pt. Fermin park called where the Korean Friendship Bell is located when I noticed a strange blue/violet shape off in the distance over Santa Catalina Island. At first I thought it was the sun playing tricks with my eyes, but I noticed it moved a bit. I was still skeptical. I wanted to take some pictures of the reflection on the water, from the sun so began shooting. I was using my Iphone 6 to take the pictures and looking into the camera I noticed an object that appeared to be moving around. I looked out and could see something moving very fast but my eyes could not keep up. I took more pics and capture closer images of this. When I got home I was pretty sure what I had seen was a UFO and began to do some research. It turns out that I am not the only one in my area that had seen similar things very recently and going back to the 1950's.

Light was observed for several seconds travelling from east to west. Then the object appeared to break up or just become 3 separate lights to continued travelling west while falling then disappeared 3-5 seconds after appearing to break up. Once it had broken up it left a trail. Did not hear any sound.. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

December 14, 2015 · 11:59 PM · TRIANGLE

San Leandro, CA

Monday night December 14th, I went out to check my car at midnight before going to bed. As the crow flies, I'm about a mile from the edge of the San Francisco Bay. If I look down my street in that direction, (west), I can see the big planes flying low, alongside the shoreline on their final approach to Oakland Airport. I also see the planes climbing out of Hayward Airport just to my south. And I see the eastbound traffic from San Francisco International, straight across the bay from me. So I'm familiar with air traffic and their procedures in this area. The ufo was about a mile and a half to the EAST, looking up the opposide direction of my street, which looks towards the Hayward hills. The ufo was, from my perspective, slightly higher than the telephone pole at the end of the street. At first, I thought it was a large jet about to turn and head south to Fremont, where they make a u-turn onto the final approach to Oakland. But the lights were all bright red. And not blinking. I could only see the lights. I couldn't tell if they were part of one craft or five seperate, individual lights. It was the size of a 747 and in the shape of a capitol A or triangle, if you prefer. One red light at the top. One at each crosspiece and one at the bottom of each leg. It was flying towards me, but then unexpectantly stopped and held position. Almost as though it know I was watching it. Then it began to fade, as though a wispy cloud passed in front. But it was a cloudless sky. Then it brightened again. Then faded once more. And then it completely "winked" out. Gone, right before my eyes. I waited for another five minutes, but it didn't reappear.

San Jose, CA

The first sighting occurred at approximately 10:35 pm on Monday, 12/14/2015. I was driving my car, turning right onto Cropley Ave. from Conifer Ln. in San Jose, CA. As I looked left to make sure there was no oncoming traffic, I noticed quite a bright "star" streaking toward the easterly direction. It lasted less than two seconds, tracing across perhaps a fifth of the sky. My first reaction was that I had seen a meteor. But the object wasdefinitely a small round disc (like a golf ball seen at about 30 feet away). The luminosity was similar to that of an LED light and, although moving rather fast, it did not exhibit a "tail" as the natural light from a meteor would do. As I made the turn and continued to drive, I really didn't think anything more about it. My drive proceeded southwesterly along Cropley to Morrill Ave., turning right on Morrill to get to Landess Ave., where I then turned left. Landess heads roughly westward and turns into Montague Expressway after the Highway 680 overcrossing. I proceded southwestward down Montague, crossing over Highway 880, until I stopped at a red light at either Zanker Rd. or N. 1st St. (I'm not sure which one.) The time was approximately 10:45 pm and it was here that I saw the golf-ball object again while looking up to the left through the windshield at about a 40 to 45 degree angle. Instead of streaking as it did before, it made a sort of randomly "hilly" curve in the sky that lasted about as long as the first sighting. I was rather surprised, however, to see that (in the background sky of the golf-ball object) there were (I believe) eight lights of much lesser intensity than the golf-ball. Each light was (as best I can describe it) shaped kind of like a flattened diamond. The most noticeable feature of these lights, to me, was that they were divided into two rows of four lights each, one row below the other by perhaps 5 to 10 degrees, from my vantage point. Each row's lights were evenly spaced, and the bottom row's lights were aligned directly below the top row's. The lights alternately dimmed and intensified, in unison, with a period of perhaps two to three seconds. As I stared at the configuration, I thought it might be due to an optical artifact of the area's street lights reflecting on my windshield. But I rolled down my window and stuck my head outside to look; they were still there. It also occurred to me that there could be Christmas lights on the top edge of a nearby building. I wouldn't be able to see the building because it was night and the brighter street lights would interfere with any ambient backlighting behind the dark building. However, at the angle and direction I was looking (~ 45 degrees up, southward), no buildings are that tall when one takes into account the distance between my stopped car at the intersection, and any building to the south. Finally, the lights could not lie on a possible power line because both rows were arranged absolutely ruler straight, whereas there would likely be a slight bow in the arrangement if attached to a power line (due to line sag). The whole sighting at the stopped light on Montague probably lasted about 15 to 20 seconds. Just before my traffic light turned green, there were (I believe) three other cars at the intersection: one next to me on the right, one in the opposite direction that was beginning a turn northward onto the cross street, and one waiting on my left on the cross street, at his red light. I looked to see if I could detect any awareness of the unidentified lights by the person on my right, but it was difficult to see the driver inside the car. It seemed as if no one else noticed. The sighting was over when each row of lights split in half, two lights accelerating to the right, two accelerating to the left. The intensity of the lights quickly dimmed to zero as their speed increased, and they never deviated from their ruler straight horizontal paths. Palm Desert, CA

Driving west on Fred Waring in Palm Desert, I saw two disk-shaped objects in the clear sky. They were headed relatively fast towards west, seemed to be quite high up in the air, and I couldn’t hear any sound. (I was in a car so that may have been the reason.) The two objects were close to each other and kept the same distance and configuration. They were both identical in appearance: Oval, dark in color, somewhat metallic looking. At the time, I and the driver of the car had no idea what they may be. They didn’t look like anything I had seen before, and I couldn’t think of anything known they could be. They went too fast for being a balloon. They were definitely not birds. It was daylight so they were not obviously planets or meteors. They were not civilian drones since they went fast and continued over the mountains. They did not have the shape of any airplane I have seen. Thinking back now, it is possible that they were two helicopters and we didn’t see the rotors or any of the things normally protruding from helicopters. It’s possible, but it does seem unlikely that we wouldn’t have seen any of those things and the perfect oval shape of both objects didn’t fit the shape of helicopters I have seen. It is possible that they were military drones flying in perfect formation and with no visible or audible form of propulsion. I don’t know if military drones comes in a perfectly oval shape. It was certainly an odd sight. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hi Peter I am sorry, it was approximately 9am. ((END ADDENDUM)) Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

While I was unloading my truck, I looked to my left and saw a red light up in the sky, hovering and not moving. I kept staring at and then it began to move away from me. A few minutes later, it moved back to its original location. While I was staring at it, it began to move towards me and then was directly over my head. While it was over my head, I took my phone out and stated taking pictures of it, two total. After that, it flew the opposite direction from its original position and stayed in one position. A few minutes later, it went back to its original location, while the light remained red. Shortly afterwards, the red light went off. Since this day, I believe I’ve been under surveillance and have seen helicopters follow me up and down different freeways and then all the way home every night.

On 12-11-2015 at 2119 hours, I witnessed a single white light streak heading South at an undetermined high altitude while watching from my backyard in Costa Mesa, CA. The light continued heading South across the sky until the object made a 90-degree, instantaneous, turn West. I know of no plane or meteor or other man-made object which could perform such a maneuver. Total view time was approximately one minute.
