My husband and I saw 4-5 red lights in a line just above the southern horizon. Some of the lights were blinking. I went inside to get binoculars to get a better look. They were gone when I came back outside.

The craft blinked on out of no where. Clear sky. They blinked on one by one. There were multiple lights on the Vee-shape. The event lasted just under 10 seconds and one by one they blinked out. Disappeared. Five minutes later three Military jets showed up in the same spot. They were traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon reaching the location they made a U-Turn and flew back towards the Northwest. The craft were BIG! BRIGHT! And BEAUTIFUL! They resembled The Phoenix Lights. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hello Peter, I have not has a chance to check the link as to what happened in Phoenix last night but I did check a few minutes ago. It was a meteor. I do allot of night sky photography up here on the mountain and I am familiar with all the atmospheric distortion and tricks the night sky can play on you. I am also an Engineer who is prone to logic, science and rationality. I have seen many things in the night sky. From Iridium satellites to meteors to space junk so I have a very good understanding of what is naturally and what is not. I am working on the drawing for you now. Orange light going south circling to west and disappearing up to west. About 2 minutes. Quite bright to disappearing up.

Woke up to see a super bright "star" flying through night sky from north to south at approximately 40 degrees. Flashing green smaller light in front, dark space, then much larger (fingernail sized) white, steady light behind. No sound. I sleep with my window open for night air, and frequently look at the stars, so my binoculars were nearby. I watched the object for about five seconds before it was gone from my line of sight. Much larger than airplane lights. I would have thought some sort of helicopter, but no sound. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information. PD
