Disk over Sitka, AK

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Just then my 4 year old son who was sitting at the kitchen table, looking out the window, went crazy and said he saw a ufo disk shape, with a bubble in the middle, and an antenna in top of it with lights. He said it was spinning and flying fast over the trees about 25 yards away. Although my son is only 4 years old, we don't believe he was making this up. He was to excited about it. We made him draw a picture out it also. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Sorry I must have hit the wrong state. It's Sitka, Alaska. Zip 99835 ((END ADDENDUM))

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #118033). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
