Algoma, WI
Saw an orange light slowly moving from the sky towards the ground in a straight line to the west of Algoma, WI. I viewed the light through a pair of binoculars and it looked like a fireball. After ten minutes it disappeared beyond the horizon line. When I entered my house there was a static charge when I turned on the light switch. This could be coincidental, but does not usually happen.

Stepped out on my deck for a cigarette around 1:15 a.m., and saw a bright orange light. Thought it was a plane, but it seemed to be wobbling and darting. It disappeared as it seemed to wobble into the distance. A moment later, it reappeared where I had originally seen it and followed a similar wobbling pattern. Again, it disappeared and reappeared a third time. No subsequent appearances.

Tarawa Terrace, NC
At first, it was thought to be a shooting star except it was large as it passed over the roof tops. Object came to a stop above Camp Lejeune area near the airstation. It had an orange glow and looked circular through binoculars. It slowly sank under the tree line and roughly 4 helicopters circled it until out of sight. Observers are military spouses, 2 females, one male. All were gathered outside on a front porch talking. First female saw what she assumed was a shooting star, when it suddenly stopped and began hovering she pointed it out to the second female. She then found her husband's binoculars and began focusing in on it. Because the first female had glasses she gave them to the second femal who described seeing one side lit up looking like fire with a round shape on the top right portion. Male was then called over and confirmed what second female saw and they then filled him in on what they had saw before his arrival. All three then began seeing helicopters fly in that direction and circle the object until it was no longer visible.

I was walking home from work, west bound on 10th Street at the intersection of 10th and Delaware in Lawrence, KS. I happened to look up and I saw a what looked like a green fireball streaking down toward town. The object moved like you'd expect a meteor to move and burnt out after a brief time. The object was very bright, the same sort of luminescence and coloration of burning copper. It left a trail and smaller pieces seemed to break off of it and burn out as they streaked across the sky. By my estimation, I'd say that it was no more than 1000 to 2000 feet above the ground. I filed a report of a similar object that I saw around March of 2007 here on the NUFORC database as well. I'd always thought these fireballs were just common meteors that may have penetrated deep into the atmosphere, but I'm no meteorologist or astronomer. After sighting the fireball mentioned in this report and reading about a similar sighting here in the database, I did some internet digging and found that green fireballs have been investigated by the Air Force in what was called "Project Twinkle." Since they are such an odd thing to see and worthy of the curiosity of the Air Force, I feel I should report them here. Witness indicates that the date is approximate. PD

While on my way home I needed to stop off at the grocery store. As I turned north extremely high in the sky the most unusual fire orange color object moved in an eastern through the sky. I have seen the orange colored objects twice before but this one was more comet shaped whith what I can only describe as a tail. I was so amazed. Before I could video the object I lost site of it in some cloud I guess. But this thing appeared to get brighter and then dim out slightly.

Looked up at the sky and saw a round orange ball traveling toward me just to the immediate south of my house, and to the immediate west of the Halifax River. As the object got closer to me, 4 strobe lights appeared to flash approximately every 3 seconds. As I exited the screen room, an orange tail appeared behind the object and it turned due east toward the river and ascended quickly into the sky until it disappeared.

Reluctantly I took him out the back and over to Patterson Park. It was a crystal clear night, very pleasant weather and only 1 or 2 other dog walkers out. As we rounded the Pagoda on the home leg of our walk I was looking south and could clearly see the constellation Orion just off to the SSW. I remember saying to myself, "So clear, I’ll bet I can see Taurus (my Zodiacal sign)." Started to swing my head to the west and out of the corner of my eye, approaching from the south, I saw something I cannot explain. At least 9 amber/orange lights in formation and 3 or 4 more lights not in formation, meandering around the formation, were rapidly moving across the sky from almost due south to due north. I was dumbfounded. I observed this for about 15-20 seconds. The formation consisted of 3 v-shaped flights in a chevron that was rock solid, all flew in unison. The meanderers seemed to circle and wander around the solid chevron as they tore across the sky at incredible speed. Flabbergasted, I muttered a few expletives. Trying to get a grip on myself I struggled to get my phone out but just as it cleared my jacket pocket the phenomenon disappeared over the horizon to the north. I looked around to see if anyone else in the park saw this. There was nobody around except Gadget who, sensing my astonishment, looked at me with concern as if to say, “What’s up with you, ((name deleteed))? Why so frantic?” Completely blown away we stood there for a few moments. I Goggled the number and called in the report to UFOReports.com right there from the park. Bewildered we walked home and I made an online report of the sighting. I tried to explain it to myself most of the rest of the night. Was it reflections of street lights off my glasses? Their color was similar to sodium vapor street lighting. No I surmised. I had to swivel my head from south to north to track the lights and they never wavered in their flight path. Arrow straight the formation flew, no wavering or smearing you would expect if it was a reflection. Space junk? Maybe, but the formation was so solid the flight appeared to be on an intentional course. And to have 9 lights in solid formation and 3 or for in a seemingly random formation is a mix of trajectories and not likely to be a single object that broke up on reentry. Such junk would all follow the same path and would leave a trail of some sort. There was no flaming trail. Aircraft? I've never seen anything move that fast in the atmosphere. I've seen satellites, the ISS, Skylab, these moved just as fast if not faster across the sky. The meandering lights also seemed to take a non-ballistic course and moved in ways no aircraft I know of could reproduce. So, there you have it. The source of this report appeared on the Jeff Rense Radio Program on March 13, 2015, in order to describe his sighting. He also submitted a report about his sighting in Tehran, Iran, in September 1976. At the request of this witness, a colleague of his submitted a second report for that same sighting. They both witnessed the same event, from different vantage points, in Tehran. PD

We were on a hill walking down, and we looked in the sky and at first I thought something was on fire like a small plane, but then I realized it was going way to slow. My friend thought it was just a plane at first but not that much farther away there was a plane and trust me the very bright fireball that we saw was not any kind of plane. It started slowly getting a little bit closer then it just starts lowering all the way to the ground like it wasn’t even there. About 10 minutes later we saw a helicopter go by. It was really creepy.

As I was leaving my place of work, I noticed three bright glowing lights around 1 mile away in the sky. I came to the conclusion that they were just Chinese lanterns, but continued to watch them regardless. I then noticed that they began to change colour from orange to white in an un-natural pulse that did not resemble any pattern or flashing seen from known aircraft. The objects then began to speed up at an unnatural speed and then slow down almost instantly. This motion closely resembled the natural movement of a humming bird or dragon fly in flight. One of the lights then portrayed what I know is impossible of any known aircraft, rapidly shooting of at a perfect right angle to the right hand side for a fair distance and then shooting back in to a perfect triangle formation with the other two objects. The speed it achieved this feat at was impossible and would have killed any pilot attempting such a procedure. The whole time I observed this display the objects were pulsing from orange to white in a synchronised pattern. The objects then faded at a rapid speed. Please let it be known that until I witnessed this tonight, I believed UFO's to be completely bull shit. But what I witnessed was impossible. I am an engineer and it defied all physical possibilities.

It was 2 strange red dots probably 1 mile in the sky. They sort of looked like eyes. They moved away a few minutes later, I tried to follow them but lost them. After a minute or so after seeing them, one of them seemed to disappear.

While taking my dog outside to relieve himself, I noticed a formation of three orbs appearing slightly above the rooftops of my condominiums at approximately 8:10pm Saturday, March 8th, 2015. At first, the orbs appeared as if hovering in perfect triangular proximity of each other for a few moments, before I ran upstairs to grab my wife and prove I wasn’t insane. By the time we ran back outside the bottom two orbs were gone and only the apexed craft was remaining. After a few minutes of watching it hover, it pulsated a few times before slowly shrinking and disappearing completely in the same place it had been. Amazed at what we had just witnessed, we remained transfixed and kept watching the sky, before another fireball orb rose before us again much lower in the sky, albeit without two other crafts accompanying it, and floated around much in the same manner as the crafts before but moved more, beginning to rise in a slow arch to the right and growing like ball of fire and then moving upwards to the same place the triangle had been before. Although it was hard to turn away I realized it was imperative to document the sighting so I managed to run back in our house to grab our camera and catch a few of the last moments of it on tape. This object, however brighter and slightly bigger, was almost dancing in the air gracefully just before pulsating a number of times and disappearing as the others did slowly as though almost shrinking out of existence. Each orb looked glowing orange like a ball of fire but quickly became a smaller more defined sphere of bright light-a shapeshifter of sort! s. On the video the shape appears to shift from pink to yellow however to the naked eye it appears completely orange or white. This was not the first time that I had seen something like this in my area, but it was the first time I was able to find somebody to witness my findings; leading me to believe that there might be more out there then we think.

I looked up and there was an object, which at first i thought was a meteor coming down, so I waited to see if it would tear in pieces, like it would regularly would of it was a meteor, but this had no color like to a meteor it was vivid red not orange or yellowish parts. So then this object stopped moving i would say it stopped near the 101 close to Phoenix Cardinals stadium. So when it stopped, two smaller red things came out of it directly going down to the city! I was recording all this at the time but when i tried to look back at it, it was gone! The recording only shows when I am bearly going to move my camera up to record these lights! Anyhow when these two lights go down the bigger object turns white, like glowing supper bright and it keeps going west for about a 2 to 5 second distance in the air and it drops another object which als! o goes straight down to the city, mean while the bigger object disappears at an extremely fast speed! Then the first two objects come back up and also disappear! Air craft then started appearing around the same area! Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. Alton, IL
http://www.thetelegraph.com/news/news/152223390/Fireball-in-sky-over-Alton-creates-buzz. ‘Fireball’ in sky over Alton creates buzz ALTON — Did little green men take a cruise in their spaceship over Alton? Probably not — but something strange in the sky caught the attention of several Telegraph readers Thursday evening. According to Robert Lunsford of the American Meteor Society (AMS), reports of a fireball came from across the state Thursday evening. “The sightings were clustered right around Chicago,” Lunsford said. “We’ve only received a couple from the St. Louis area. We have 34 total sightings. St. Louis seems to be on the southwestern edge of our reports. It was apparently seen as far away as Ann Arbor, Michigan.” Lunsford added that similar sightings came from Texas and Louisiana around 2 a.m. Friday. He said the southern fireball had about half as many reports as the one over Illinois. Such bright fireballs are common in February, March and April, he added. “This is the peak time for evening fireballs,” he said. “I have no doubt that it was a meteor.” Lunsford said most of the reports claimed to have seen a large green fireball, but some were blue or yellow. According to Lunsford, the seemingly strange colors are actually quite common when a large chunk of space debris enters Earth’s atmosphere. “Entering the atmosphere excites the oxygen molecules and creates a sort of greenish glow,” he said. The AMS is still investigating the case, which includes looking for evidence that the meteor metamorphosed into a meteorite by hitting the surface of Earth. “There’s still a possibility that it did,” Lunsford said. “We look for signs of sonic booms that indicate that the object entered the lower atmosphere. We haven’t had any of those so far.” Social media in the Riverbend was abuzz with chatter about the fireball — or whatever it was — late Thursday and early Friday. Facebook user Jason Cox wrote on the Telegraph’s wall that he saw the object around 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening while traveling north on Homer Adams Parkway off Broadway. Another user, Berthal Allsman said he saw a similar object on Homer Adams Parkway and described it as “kool as h—-.” Mandi Carroll wrote that she saw it while driving on Missouri Route 367 towards Alton. Most Facebook users that claimed to have seen the object on the Telegraph’s page described it as a meteor. Others jokingly theorized that it was a spaceship, a methamphetamine lab explosion or popular Star Trek character Spock, portrayed by the recently deceased Leonard Nimoy, reaching his destination on the final frontier. The Alton Police Department said that they did not receive any calls on the matter. Alton Police spokesperson Emily Hejna speculated that it was most likely not a visiting life form from the far reaches of the cosmos. The Telegraph also reached out to NASA regarding the matter, but nobody from the administration had responded to the request as of press time. An official did confirm they were investigating the reports, however. The official echoed the belief that it was probably not a spaceship.

My husband and I were watching TV, when I noticed this large red fireball heading toward us. ( My husband took a photo with his cell phone.) I thought it was coming right toward our window, but as it got closer and larger, it suddenly fell downward, perhaps into Cook Inlet. I noticed it left a small sort of smoke trail after it disappeared. This was a UFO, even though we did not hear of any other reports. It was not a space ship, because I have seen those in Connecticut. . . so not sure what this was. I blew the photo up with iPhoto and you could really see the structure of the fireball.
