Le 4 avril 2008 à 22h28, un automobiliste sur l'aire de repos du Mas d'Agenais est intrigué par le déplacement particulier d'un objet blanc dans le ciel étoilé. L'objet se déplace selon une trajectoire irrégulière. L'observation dure 50 secondes environ avant que l'objet ne disparaisse progressivement. Compte tenu des éléments objectifs collectés, à savoir la présence dans le ciel de la station spatiale internationale à l’heure exacte de l’observation, puis la position du témoin et la forte ressemblance de l’objet avec un satellite, d’après le témoin lui-même, nous pouvons conclure que l’objet observé par le témoin est très certainement la station spatiale internationale, et que l’impression « d’arrêt » à proximité d’avions de ligne mentionné dans le témoignage est un phénomène physiologique oculaire naturel (autostase/micronystagmus). Ce cas est à classer en «A». [GEIPAN classification A — ISS]

Le 30 mars 2008 vers 22h40 un témoin sur son balcon est intrigué par la présence de plusieurs points lumineux rouges sur l'horizon. Avant de se déplacer ces points émettent un flash blanc de forte intensité. Ils prennent ensuite de l'altitude mais seront rapidement cachés par un bâtiment. Ce cas d'observation est de consistance beaucoup trop faible pour permettre une conclusion. Comme il ne s'agit que de quelques points lumineux observés de loin durant quelques secondes, l'étrangeté est moyenne mais la description bien trop courte pour une évaluation correcte. Une enquête longtemps après les faits ne rapporterait que peu d'information. Ce cas est classé C faute de témoignages indépendants et de recoupements.
