Le 11 aout 2011 vers 23h un témoin observe depuis chez lui, le lent déplacement rectiligne d'un point lumineux. Il filme le phénomène avant que celui-ci ne disparaisse derrière des arbres. Ce témoin avait déjà constaté ce même phénomène au mois de juin 2011. De faible étrangeté et de bonne consistance, ce cas d’observation ressemble en tous points à une méprise avec un avion en phase d’atterrissage. L’éloignement relatif du lieu d’observation des principaux aéroports d’Ile de France, dont l’approche se fait très probablement par l’Est ce soir-là, nous empêche toutefois une classification en A. Le 4 août 2011 à 22h59 un témoin observe le passage S-N dans le ciel d'un point lumineux. Il est intrigué par les déplacements en zig-zag de l'objet et les variations d'intensité. Aucun bruit n'est entendu durant l'observation. L'objet disparait du champ de vue du témoin. La description du témoin : un point lumineux blanc traversant le ciel du Sud vers le Nord fait penser au passage d'un satellite : sur cette trajectoire, et à l'heure dite, on relève le passage du satellite IGS1B, de magnitude 2 (comme l'étoile polaire). Sa luminosité évolue au cours du passage, selon son exposition au soleil. Bien sûr, vu du sol, un satellite avance strictement en ligne droite (ou légèrement courbe), ce qui ne correspond pas au témoignage. Les zig zags décrits par le témoin peuvent venir d'une illusion d'optique, d'origine physiologique, appelée illusion autocinétique, qui se produit lorsque l'œil suit un point lumineux sur un fond totalement noir.
