It's a new year and I'm already seeing things right before my eyes. Me and my boyfriend were talking outside when he looks up in the sky and sees a red, bright, circular light in the sky. The way it was moving was strange and it kept flickering as proceeding further up. It was definitely not an airplane,without a doubt. I guess even "others" take a holiday vacation to Florida!😱 ...HAPPY New lightyears, I guess.

At 1:20AM on New Year's Day 2015 my wife called me to the second story window of our house to look at a bright orange light that was traversing the sky in a steady arc from the Western horizon up over our house. It was not blinking and it did not change in intensity or direction. When we were no longer able to see it through the window she went outside to view it on the other side of the house and I went to a second story window on the other side of the house to see it. I watched it until it disappeared out of sight below the Eastern horizon. My wife watched it from outside during the same time and reported that she did not hear any noises associated with the light's movement. It was within sight for an estimated 45 seconds to 1 minute. She first noticed it when it was about 25 degrees above the Western horizon and I saw disappear in the Eastern sky at about 15 degrees above the horizon. We have seen the International Space Station move across the sky at a similar rate of transit many times before. This light was a bright orange color in contrast to the bright white of the ISS. This light was also about 4-5 times brighter than the brightest ISS sightings we have ever experienced. This light could not have been reflected sunlight since it was about 6 hours after sunset. The night was perfectly clear and 24 degrees Fahrenheit. The 3/4 full moon was in the Western part of the sky near where my wife first saw the light. We did not get any pictures or videos.

After midnight, 12:24 am on January 1, 2015, I was on my back deck with my dog when I observed 2 bright red lights in the sky. I thought at first they were fireworks, because of New Year's celebrations, but then they started to move horizontally across the sky, west to east. I ran to get my daughter, who came outside with her daughter, and by that time the lights had moved across the sky to the front of the house and were disappearing over the trees. Then we went back in the house, and as we were looking out the back window, we saw another of the same lights, flying in the same direction. These lights seemed to flicker or change color, and were moving at the speed of a plane, but the lights were too large to be a plane. When I first saw the two initial lights, they were very close to each other, then got farther apart as they moved east. My only thought as to what this could be would be drones.

A single glowing reddish orange flickering light. Becoming brighter as it appeared to be travelling towards Stayton from WNW. At its brightest the light changed slightly south and fizzled out.

I have lived less than 2 miles from the Eugene airport for the past 23 years. I have seen private airplanes, private jets, commercial jets, cargo jets, navy sub killer aircraft conducting touch and go training flights, and a wide variety of military jets taking off after re-fueling on north to south trajectories. I know all of the trajectories for all of the aircraft that fly over or around my home and, at times, what time of day I can expect to see particular airlines. I am can distinguish the difference between night time aircraft lights and landing lights between fixed wing and jet aircraft. I also know the sound that all of them make. Tonight I neither heard nor saw anything I have ever experienced. There were none of the usual stro! bing lig hts, throbbing engine sounds, or jet sounds. I have also seen military jets climbing at night. Their after burners have never looked red. What I saw and heard were bright red lights that fluctuated minimally and felt, but did not hear, a slight bass hum. Conditions were clear, 23 degrees F, no clouds, and a bright half moon in the sky. I have never seen any thing like this in my 55 years on the planet.

As some friends and I were watching New Years fireworks, we noticed a lingering orange light. My friend said it was a UFO that he has seen a few times before. It slowly started moving west and after about thirty seconds of moving west, it flickered. It flickered 5 times before taking off full speed out of our sight. All of us were in shock and couldn't believe what we had just saw.

I step out my door on this cold night, on new years eve and look around my yard and road, as usual i look at the night sky, and the FIRST thing I see (besides stars of course) is a very bright light that is gone with in mili seconds of looking at it, it was a flash before my eyes literally, ive had maybe 2 times ive seen this same phenomenon. very intriguing to say the least

A friend and I were driving in the southwestern part of the city when she pointed out a light in the sky. I was the passenger and ducked my head and looked to the upper left area and noticed a large orange light that appeared to be traveling west at a relatively slow pace. The light changed colors slowly from orange to yellow to white. It had the look of a ball of plasma or electricity, sort of undulating and almost pulsing but with very erratic edges rather than a defined circle. I asked her to pull over and as she did so I got out of the car intending to take cell phone video of the object. There was a very thin cloud cover you could see the stars thru. I would estimate the clouds at around 5,000 feet. As I walked up a rocky driveway to get a higher perspective and prepared my phone to capture some video, the object suddenly changed direction from west to east, rose above the thin cloud cover and shot out of sight. The object was so bright it would have been easily seen through the thin, see-through clouds, but once it changed direction and elevated it was simply gone. Due to the elevation and how large it appeared from our perspective I believe this was a rather large object. Far larger than any modern aircraft would appear at that distance. My best guess is that it was several times larger than a hot air balloon and made no sound at all.

It's New Year's eve, my boyfriend and friend were outside when he started calling my name to come quck!! I ran outside thinking its another owl in our tree, i saw immediately it was 2 bright glowing round lights moving slowly, seemed quite low, not a plane, moved diagonally, silently across the sky, we watched until one disappeared and the other until out of site, then another one came from the same direction and i called for my daughter and mother, who came outside and saw it too. Ive been googling to see if anyone else has seen it/them here in calgary alberta canada, seems theyre being seen everywhere around the world!! Very freaky!!! And exciting!!

AROUND NINE 9PM, I SAW A LIGHT GET SO TO SPEAK CATCH UP WITH AN AIRLINE AND JUST FOLLOW IT BEHIND FOR A FEW MINUTES, SEE AIRLINE TRAFFIC IS HIGH OVER OUR AREA, CONSTANT TRAFFIC, SEE IT ALL THE TIME, BUT THIS WAS DIFFERENT, IT CAUGHYRS OLDT UP TO IT, A LOT SMALLER LIGHT, SO OBJECT WAS SMALLER, I KEPT WATCHINGIT, THE AIRLINE WAS BIG, BUT THEN THE OJECT OR LIGHT STARTED TO DRIFT AWAY AS IT WAS GETTING TO OUR AIRPORT NOT THE FAR AWAY, LIKE I SAID, AIR TRAFFIC IS ALWAYS BUSY, FLY ABOVE US, THIS LIGHT (OBJECT) JUST THEN TOOK OFF IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION, I LOOKED THIS MORNING TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE MIGHT HAVE SEEN THIS EVENT TOO...., I DONT DRINK OR DO DRUGS, IM 54,THE SKY WAS KINDA WHITE, WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHTS BETTER IN THE SKY, IT WAS AWKWARD NW THE AIRLINE PLANE KEPT ITS DESTINATION, YOU CAN SEE THEM GOOD FROM THE BALCONY''

On December 31- 2014, at around 8:30 p.m, I witnessed seven lights crossing the night sky. The first three seemed to be in a triangle pattern drifting across the sky. They then disappeared into thin air. Two more followed a similar path as the first three but did not disappear and kept moving across the night sky. As well as two more moving at similar speeds and the same direction as the first.

Saw a large bright light shine and go out quickly. As it went out a smaller light seemed to shoot out from it. The smaller secondary light resembled a meteorite streaking across the sky and seemed to just burn out. Streaked across the sky for around three seconds. Very strange. I've seem many meteorites or "shooting stars", but never saw one emerge from another ball of light that lit up and blinked out stationary as a smaller one seemed to come from it. The sky was very clear and plenty of stars. The lights were brilliant white just as a normal looking "shooting star" but one just "turned off" and the other seemed to burn out as it streaked across the sky. We were on our way to the store when we saw it in our driveway. When we got back home it was cloudy and overcast w no stars in sight. And a half moon or better so it was quite bright out. These objects seemed very high.

Bright red light, with rays coming off like a star, came over the hills from the the west. It slowly came down into the valley and then went quickly went up into the sky becoming smaller looking like a red star. As the first one was going up, a second bright light came over same hill and slowly came down into valley and proceeded a little further down the valley. Just before it started up into the sky, a third bright red light came over the same hill and as it came into the valley the second red light quickly went up into the sky. Before the second light disappeared, a fourth bright red light came over the same hill, as the third light was going more over Wenatchee. Then, the third and fourth bright red lights went quickly up into the sky quickly becoming smaller lights, the same size in appearance as the stars in the sky, then they were gone. All of this occurring within a 15 minute time span.

I returned from the store and saw several orange lights in the sky above Roy, UT, driving Westbound on 4800 South at 3700 West. I stopped and watched them for a couple of minutes, before heading home. I watched them the entire way as they were headed towards HAFB in a zigzag course and by the time I arrived home they had changed course and headed West. I entered the house and told my wife to come outside and see them. Together we watched for a couple more minutes as they flew West. The lights went out one by one until they were gone. There was no cloud cover as I was able to see stars in the sky as well as the lights. The lights were changing from red to orange and then purple.

Star shape very bright light in northwest sky above trees at 2:00 am no features could be made out. It just hovered above the trees for an hour and then moved behind the trees were I could not see it any longer. I looked through my binoculars but could not make out any features. This is the second time I seen a bright light out of my bedroom window. Possible star?? PD

My mother was laying on the couch, she looked out the window, and noticed a red light moving across the sky. She got up and went over for a better look, then called me over to the door to look. Then another one appeared, and another one. They all followed after eavh other, moving quickly. Eventually we counted 6, and then we didn't see anymore. But there could have been more that we didn't see before she noticed the first light. Our nieghbors also notice dthe lights, and came outside.

I was in my car on my way way home from work. As I turned right onto my street I noticed a red light to the west in the sky. It disappeared within a few seconds. I continued to look where the light came from, thinking it might be a blinking plane, but it did not reappear...

I was outside using my snow thrower, when I observed 3 orange lights traveling south, then abruptly they turned east in unison, they were under the clouds. At my location we are approx. 6500 ft, the cloud cover was below the mountain tops of approx 8500-9000 feet. They were traveling at a very slow speed, appeared to be coming from elk ridge/Payson area. They reach about and 85 degree angle when all three climbed above the clouds as if to clear mountains. I had shut off my machine, and there was no sounds. As they were almost overhead they were the same glowing orange light, but had grow large in size. There were no navigational lights as required by FAA regulations, and no bright landing lights, only a glow that showed equally not directional.
