Was driving home when a light, much brighter than a star suddenly appeared. The sky was overcast and absolutely no stars or the moon were visible, yet this light was plainly there, but appeared to be within or above the clouds. It then vanished and reappeared. Then vanished for good.

This is an updated report for what I saw on 5/10/2015 and reported here the next day. Last night (5/17/2015) starting at approximately 21:30, I saw the same strobe type lights flying while I was on my back deck. Like originally posted, there was only one object but this time it was flying erratically at a lower altitude. Once the lights disappeared, I continued to watch the sky from my back deck. I did not see anything else over the next ten minutes so I went inside to take care of a few things. I started thinking that since I saw the object twice now within a week, that the chances are I may see them again if I go out into the yard and watch the entire sky for an extended period of time. Once I was finished taking care of a few things inside the house, I came back out and sat on the back deck with my wife and told her if I saw these lights again, that we would go out to the back yard to watch for them. About 10 minutes later, I saw the strobe lights ! for a single object flying high in the sky and quickly disappeared. The speed these objects seemed to be flying was incredible like I noted in my last report. I went out into my back yard and started watching the sky around me. Within a few minutes, I noticed that while facing east, there were dozens of these lights that appeared to be flying within and around the group of trees in my neighbors back yard. I called my wife out and we watched the lights "strobe" effect for several minutes. These lights looked like mini LED flashlights that flicker brightly. The color is pure white. Fireflies are a yellow-green color when they flash and fireflies flash at a much slower rate. Given the way these "bugs" (as they must be some type of bug now that I have seen them fly within and around trees), I did some research on the Internet about reports of white strobe lights flying around trees. There are many reports on different web sites about this phenomenon! and there is much speculation as to what they are. While sea! rching t he Internet, I am not able to find any bug that emits a solid white light, so this is till a bit of a mystery and these "bugs" may explain a lot of what people are seeing since the initial report I filed looked like a high-flying craft with strobe lights and seemed to fly at incredible speeds. Since these can only be seen at night and since they appear to be small, I do not think they will come out to well in pictures or video. I will try to take footage tonight and if anything comes out I will post the images/video here.

Driving North on Route 9, a large white light appearing to follow the road, it looked like a small airplane that had no lights just completely white. I would say it was about 30 feet off the ground as was going approx 50 to 60 miles an hour, because the distance remained the same from my vehicle for some time. Long Description of Sighting Report: My dogs were going crazy barking at back door, so I went outside, and that's when I noticed what I thought a very bright star. It started to move closer and then away and then turned red and then back to bright. I was also hearing a very strange sound, between a hum and maybe wind. (I have never heard this sound before) I first grabbed my IPAD to start recording; it was not even close to what I was witnessing, so I ran inside and got my digital camera and started recording so I could the best view of this very odd object. This object looked like a red disc spinning at times to a white dot. After 2 min of recording; I stopped; to be honest because it scared me. About 10 min Later it went slowly north from its location. (As I look back on videos, a red light follows what ever direction it went).

I was driving and observed two flashing white lights that were moving up and away in a parallel fashion as though they were connected. No other lights were present and I could not see a form that they were attached to. I slowed my vehicle and pulled out my phone to video it, but it moved past the houses on the road. I turned the corner to see if it was still visible so I could document it, but it was gone.

Two odd green lights moving slowly in the South Western sky, noticed they turned into one set of lights turning red, green, white, then moved left a fast speed, then right, turned and two odd red lights moving north flew over below cloud cover against the wind at a slow speed as it went over noticed a pulsating white light out the back, no sound at all. This is an old one, but I want to tell it. I worked afternoons in Oklahoma City and was commuting back home down the freeway one night. There was a lot of traffic going both ways. I was heading east on I40 near Choctaw OK and noticed a couple of lights off to the left, north of the freeway, up in the sky. At first, I thought it was an airplane as Tinker AFB was about 5 miles away, I just went past it minutes earlier. Here I was, driving down one hill and heading back up another, when I noticed a pair of lights that were stationary up in the sky, north of the freeway. Just floating maybe a hundred feet up or two hundred. I thought it was weird, because I thought it was incoming aircraft like right next to each other in the sky. Maybe 50 feet or a hundred feet apart. Way too far apart to be a helicopter. They did not move at all, and I thought maybe it was a work crew on a cell tower, with lights, but drove back to work the next day in the daylight and there ! was no tower there, or anything else. Then a couple of nights later I saw the same thing, same area but south of the freeway. My buddy was retired Air Force, I asked him did the Air Force have anything like it and he just shook his head no. I opened my window, and tried to see it, but traffic was moving fast so I just drove on. All I could hear was the traffic and the wind. About 12:50 am, I walked out on my deck noticed 3 stars, equally spaced, looked like orians belt I was looking do west. l looked south to see orion but dident I looked back and forth for about a minutes then just stared to the west I didnt rember 3 stars before . Then all of a sudden the star on the right moved north west for 3seconds about the distance between the spaces between all 3 stars .then disappeared like a light switch all this time all 3stars were same distance apart and same brightness

Location: Just east of Hwy 95 on the north end of Moscow. At about 3:18AM, i noticed in the ESE what appeared to be a moving star-like light about two hands-width above the roof line of the opposite building. The light traveled horizontally south-to-north for a short way before fading out. The first light was followed closely by a much brighter star-like object traveling in the same direction and altitude before, again, fading out. The separation between the two lights was probably two or three finger-widths. A short time later, at a lower altitude, i noticed the flash of another light with what appeared to be a reddish color. About 3:28AM, i noticed a dimmer star-like light traveling north-to-south about 2 or 3 finger widths above a tree top behind the roof line that i use as a reference which then faded out after traveling for a distance horizontally. 30 seconds after one of the local church bells tolled once, indicating 3:30AM, in the ENE, a stationary star-like object became very bright, then faded out. The color was LED white. At no time could any sounds be heard.

We were traveling on I-95 South in Northern Virginia when I noticed a relatively low altitude (~1000 feet) bright green light. The green light was also moving south at what I thought was a slow to moderate speed. About twice the speed of my vehicle. My initial thought was that it was an airplane taking off from Reagan International airport. Then it just took off faster than anything I have ever seen and then just disappeared after about two or three seconds. My wife and son both saw the exact same thing. None of us ever saw anything move so fast. We kept trying to come up with a rational explanation but could not. The light did not leave a trail and it went from a slow speed to an extremely fast speed. The light was very bright and circular in shape.

My brother text me at 21:57 on May 13, 2015, saying lights in the sky to the east. I went outside to see but they were gone. He lives about a half mile from me but has a clearer view than I do. He described the lights as "2 large glowing lights stationary; really bright & flickering." He said he had not seen lights like those before. He said they were very white lights. He recorded both on his phone.

At approximately 21:30 on May 13, 2015, my son and I were travelling on Rt. 116 in Savoy, MA 01256. A very large, bright white light shot across the sky in front of us. Our view only lasted for a couple of seconds, due to the trees on either side of the road. It seemed to be very low and close to us. It was getting lower in altitude. There was no tail. The color was pure white. We quickly continued a short distance further, where there was a much larger viewing area. This was just across the Plainfield town line. We could not see the light anywhere in the sky. My son said that he noticed that the object was lighting up the tops of the trees as it passed over them. It is in our opinion that if the light/object had maintained its course it would have made contact with the ground.

As we were heading home from shopping on a very clear night, the car turned onto Tranquil Blvd. pointing west. We immediately observed what looked like two very large stars some distance apart high over the town toward Glassford Hill. The two white lights were blinking in an alternate regularly-spaced pattern. A moment later the lights moved closer together, still blinking, one on, the other off, then vice-versa, like a railroad crossing signal, only bright white. We could not tell if this was two separate objects or lights on one craft. All helicopters I've ever seen at night had flashing red lights. On May 12, 2015, at approximately 12:00 a.m., I went out on my 3rd floor apartment balcony located in Fort Worth, Texas. The night was overcast and through the clouds, I noticed a light move across the sky and assumed it was an airplane. After a few minutes, I noticed the same light. As I continued to observe it, I noticed it was moving in a circular pattern – clockwise – over the same area. It was one white light beam that was not clearly visible until it moved out of the clouds. Using my compass, I noted the lights were coming from 326 degrees NW. I watched the lights for over 40 minutes before returning inside. The beam continued the same circular pattern and moved at the same speed.

My husband and I were visiting my mother in Puyallup, Washington, and had returned to our hotel, The Hampton Inn, to go to bed, as we were leaving the next morning. It was around 10:30 p.m., maybe a little later, and I was lying in the bed farthest from the window. I noticed in the sky, 3-6 lights in the sky. At first I thought maybe it was a reflection, but even after moving around, the lights remained. I told my husband and he confirmed what I was seeing. His initial/instant reaction was to say that they were planes. I told him that did not make sense because planes do not fly that close together and remain in one place. He agreed and suggested helicopters. But, then we both said that did not make sense either. Before we could think much about it, all but one of the lights were just instantly gone. My husband and I both looked at each other shocked and then the last light was gone. We didn’t see any of them move, they were just gone. We tried looking up sighting online but didn’t find anything. I have looked a few times since to see if anything was reported, but I don’t really know where to look and the sites I was able to locate didn’t have that date listed. So, I figured it might be good to report it in case others witnessed this also.

As I was traveling north on Derr Rd. in Springfield, Ohio, I looked up to see two orange lights traveling at what appeared to be aircraft speed in a South/Southeastern direction. At first a believed that they were planes or helicopters but the light was orange and constant (not flashing). There were a few small clouds floating around in the area so I could tell that one was higher than the other but they were traveling at the same speed in the same direction. After about two minutes going in a straight path the higher one stopped immediately as the lower one continued on. A third orange light appeared just above the one that had stopped. The two lights stayed in that position for around 30 seconds then began a very fast circle as if chasing one another. As the two performed the circle the lower stopped abruptly and just sat in one position. The two lights moving in a circle flashed once and were gone. There was still sunlight in the sky, enough to see a silhouette of a plane if thats what it was, but there was nothing. They were both completely gone. Immediately after the two dissapeared the third made a very sharp angled u-turn travelled a short distance flashed once and vanished just as the first two did. I watched the surrounding sky for 30 minutes after to see if there were any more or any commercial aircrafts in the area but there were none.

As I was driving down this road, which has a lot of curves and trees on it, I came out into a clearing and noticed in the sky that there were 4 flashing lights in the sky. They were white and fixed in place, so I’m not sure if I saw one big craft or four individual ones. There is only one tower around that area, and it’s on the right-hand side of the field clearing, while these lights were straight in front of where I was driving. I have lived in this area for very long and know there are no other towers towards the direction of the lights. I have decided to post this because this isn’t the only time it’s happened in that same area. It happened on April 12th of this year (2015), around 11 pm. I remember this because I made a post on my facebook about it because I was freaking out. Around that time, I was coming home from my boyfriend’s house. Right before I go into the trees that surround the curve before the clearing, I had to slow down and stop for some deer on the road. At at moment, a star caught my eye. The star started to glow more brightly and became a green color. The light then proceeded to get larger as if coming closer and moved to the right in a speed faster than I’ve seen any plane move, and then shoot straight down. As I came out of the trees, into the clearing, the green light could be seen between some trees, not high up, but not quite on the ground either, it was just eerily floating in place. I came home, freaked out of my mind, called my boyfriend for some peace of mind since this was my first! abnormal encounter. Today, when I came back after seeing the white, flashing lights, my dad told me that sometimes as he comes into that same clearing, he sees the same green light hovering, and when he turns on the curve up ahead, the green light is gone. There are not many people who live out here in the country, so I’m not sure if there’s any more witnesses to these happenings around this area.
