We were looking at the meteor shower and saw a flashing object hovering. It stayed hovering for 15 min with flashing red green and yellow light. While stargazing, witnesses noticed what was thought to be normal stationary star suddenly increase significantly in brightness. To the naked eye, the light appeared to increase to twice its size. Then, the light rapidly dimmed as the object began to move away at a very fast pace. The object took a straight line of flight, quickly disappearing into space. My girlfriend and myself were out camping about 45 minutes away from Cranbrook, in the Koocanusa area. At approximately 11:15 PM, I was out of our tent, watching the night sky, and enjoying the calm of the night. As I took my eyes off the sky for a slight moment, I noticed an abnormally bright light in my peripheral vision. I gazed to night sky and followed this bright light trace the sky for about 5 seconds before the light diminished. After dininishing, the light tracing the sky was as dim as an average satellite, still tracing the sky. Questioning what I had witnessed I turned to my girlfriend, who at the time was reading a book in our tent with the door wide open, and asked if she saw the object that I had just seen. She stated that indeed she had seen it in the same manner that I had. She had seen the abnormal bright light out of her peripheral vision while reading, then continued to follow the object until it had diminished to a distant light tracing the sky.

At approximately 23:15 Saturday evening, a group of 9 where sitting around a camp fire. Staring into the brilliant sky looking for shooting stars, one of the persons in the group noticed a bright light east of Peterborough. Looking in the night sky, east towards Trenton, ON (Military Base), we all agreed that there was a bright light (orange/red) heading west towards Peterborough. The light then stopped and became very bright and stopped for a moment and in an instant the light shot straight up into the sky. Minute later we noticed planes travelling at high speeds at approximately the same altitude circulating a huge parameter where the bright orange/red light had been minutes before. Around 10pm I saw a procession of slow-moving gold/orange lights (round), moving slowly across the sky toward the direction of my home and then flying over. At first there were two or three, but they were followed by more and more and more, in a seemingly never-ending stream that lasted quite a while (maybe 10 minutes or more?). They were coming from the south or southwest and moving northward. There were no other lights, no blinking or flickering (like on a plane or helicopter) and I didn’t hear any sound. They were low-flying and moved together slowly. Some were fairly close together, others spaced further apart. At one point, they hovered in place before slowly moving onward again. We see and hear planes flying over, on their way to the airport, all day long, on a daily basis, here. At times, we have helicopters circling overhead. This was most definitely neither. It was also not the Perseids. Never saw anything even remotely like this before.

On the evening of 8 August 2015 I was at Cooper's Lake Campground for a large (~10,000 attendees) annual event. I was in camp alone, approximately 50 feet from the northern shore of the lake. At approximately 9:30, as I was speaking on the phone, I saw a light source over the lake. It had no discernable shape, but was fairly "large" as point light sources go; lacking any other external clues, I would estimate it at no more than a hundred yards from me. It was reddish, but not the "stoplight" red of aircraft signals, having a distinct purple/pink tinge. It made no sound and moved quite slowly, but there were two small course changes; the night was essentially still at ground level, so there was no significant wind for it to be moving against. I watched it for approximately three minutes, mentioning it to my conversational partner, before it abruptly disappeared. At first I thought it was an airplane, but it was too large and the wrong color. It was also the wrong color to be a live flame, as in a floating lantern, and seemed to be course-correcting under its own power. Of course, I had no good size cues to judge from, so my estimate of its distance may be extremely off and the lack of noise may have been because it was simply too far away. At this point, my best hypothesis is a toy drone; though those were specifically disallowed by the rules of the special event, people have been known to break the rules.

Saw two red lights moving from east to west at the same height as an airplane which was close to the moving lights and ahead of lights. The red lights were unusual because they were very close to each other but not in sync enough to be same aircraft. The airplane changed direction toward northwest- a normal path. Driving home from work, myself & 2 others witnessed a bright light flying a bit lower in the sky than an airplane would. It was a light. Brighter than an airplane. I commented on it's brightness. Continued driving, looked up about 1 min later & that big bright light was GONE. It was not behind any cloud or anywhere else in the visible sky. An airplane wouldn't be able to fly that distance that quickly. We had a good view of the sky, with a view of a few miles down the road. It was dusk when we saw it, around 9:10 pm on 08/08/15. The light was in the southeast portion of the sky. All three of us had seen it & we all noticed it's extremely fast departure. About a half hour later, I & one passanger (we had dropped off 1 in town) a saw a bright light either the exact same or very similar to the one we had seen earlier. It was a bit south of where we had seen it before. I eventually stoppied paying attention to it and do not remember seeing it as I drove home.

We were driving on route 71 toward corona thru chino hills when my son asked what were the two green lights outside his window. There were two lights spaced similarly to where plane lights are but instead of red and white they were bright green. After a few moments the two lights expanded to 3 and the 3rd light was white. The lights were in a straight line formation. When the white light appeared the green lights changed to red. Once the two lights turned red the 3rd light turned red and then all lights started flashing. It was so abnormal that we submitted a note to the local TV station to see If others reported the same.

A very bright, white, "cold," LED-type light ball, moving in a very straight line, parallel to the ground East to West, between Shermer and Harlem, approximately 200 ft above the ground. The object travelled about 300 feet at a very high rate of speed, and then the light was extinguished gradually but very quickly (less than 1 second). The ball was approximately 1 foot in diameter. I’ve considered both a “shooting star” and a meteor, but their trajectories are sloping towards the Earth. Also the type of light was definitely superficial. The visibility was good enough to notice if the light was attached to an aircraft, however there was no object visible once the light vanished.

It headed north, then turned west and went towards the otherside of the bay towards Northport. The objects were launched about 10 minutes apart. We guessed at what it night be-Chinese lanterns, drones,?? but the flight of them seemed to be somewhat controlled. The light was orange, almost looking like fire.

While driving, I noticed a bright light in the blue sky. At first it seemed to look like a bright star, while no other stars were visual. I parked my vehicle just of a curiosity and it was hovering above without a move. It looked strange and was too bright than a star on a clear sky. I watch it for 2 minutes and with in this period of time it moved to the left very slowly, then stopped again. Eating dinner at the "Circular" restaurant in Hotel Hershey. At 9 pm I witnessed 4 lights that appeared to be a start of a firework display-however as one light went on-another followed and another and another. I finally said, "What the hell is happening outside?" Then all 4 lights shut off and vanished. The next moment 3 aircraft (fighter planes) positioned themselves in a triangular shape to appear as if to "corner" the suspect lights. As they "cornered" the lights -nothing was there. It was as if the fighter planes were chasing air. After about 5 minutes of circling the area, the 3 fighter planes took off.

Beginning around 3:55, I went outside for a cigarette and as is my custom, craned my neck staring at the sky. Spotted the popular three star triangle, and the waning moon to its left. Viewing from the SW to SE skies, directly above me. In Homestead neighborhood right next to OHSU hospital. It started with one object, I assumed was a star shifting its light. Then it began to move sporadically, circling and zig-zagging... slowly drifting upwards and to the right. I used the moon as a still-object to make sure I wasn't seeing things. The longer I watched it, the more it moved. No blinking or flashing lights. Quick, sporadic movements in short spurts; sometimes in longer spurts. Sometimes it grew still. Around twenty minutes into the sighting, while moving in circular motion, a smaller light spat out from it and vanished. I also find it interesting that during this 40 minute time period I saw two very large meteors and several much smaller ones. I report four objects, as there were two other much, much dimmer objects nearby moving in similar fashion. The third appeared after one of the large meteors, zig-zagged a small amount, and then moved on much like an airplane straight across the sky. The other three sightings were not as spectacular as the first, which remained... even after I ran back upstairs to grab my camera. Of course, since the light is the size of a star it was impossible to capture on my digital camera. Also worth mentioning is that last night, my roommate (who also witnessed this sighting) and I were driving home and saw what can only be described as a carousel-like ship. Rotating slowly and moving slowly, with alternating white lights fading in and out. They were not blinking, were not airplane beacons and were not red or green. Just white. Rotating, or spinning, and moving across the sky in a diagonal manner. I am hesitant to label this immediately as a UFO, as it could very well be a drone. However, due to the strange optical lights, fading alternately; and after doing a few hours of research on drones and their lightings, I found that most drones have stationary or flashing lights much like airplanes... not this gentle, soft fading white lights in alternating fashion. And lastly, on the fourth of July during fireworks, I also saw three star-like objects much like tonight's sighting: sporadic movement and quickly disappearing. These sightings lasted mere seconds, unlike tonight's sighting in which the first object remained for 40+ minutes. In conclusion, tonight's sighting of the continuous object with sporadic movement: spat out a smaller light that vanished. A few times very vague trails with its quicker movements. Wish I had binoculars or a telescope. Will invest as I seem to be sighting more and more UFOs lately.

My experience occurred on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The sighting time was somewhere around 21:20 because I came into my house, explained to my dad what I had just seen, used the restroom and sent my significant other a text about the sighting at 21:26. I was driving home from work that Wednesday evening. My shift ended at 21:00. I was in the home stretch. As I turned onto a back road I saw some really bright lights in front of me in the dark sky. The light was bright white and almost like a starburst. It was brighter and larger than a light on any airplane I have ever seen. There were three lights clustered close together in a vertical line. The lights were hovering. As one light went out for a few seconds the top light lit up. Then the light that was out reappeared. This continued a few times. The lights would disappear and reappear randomly. I kept an eye on it for as long as I could while I turned into my neighborhood. When I parked in my driveway I could no longer find it. My sighting lasted no longer than a minute and a half. During this experience I did not hear anything. I was so unsure of what was happening that I forgot I even owned a phone… Therefore, I have no documentation. I had brushed my sighting to the side and forgot about it until today. My mom was listening to Coast to Coast Am talk show online when I got home from work. She was listening to the program for August 6, 2015. There was a segment about UFO sightings. She heard about a sighting in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, which is not too far from us. That sighting happened on the same day and around the same time. This is what provoked me to look further into what I saw. I googled “UFO sightings August 2015, PA”. I found a sighting posted to another website. This sighting happened in my same town, on the same night, and around the same time. Their sighting that night was nearly identical to mine.

On Wednesday night 8/5/15 I was coming back from my walk. It was about 9:00 p.m. and had just gotten totally dark. I was turning the corner from the bike/jogging path, along the main highway, into my subdivision. I was walking south, when I looked up saw this light. It was red, white and blue, and blinking like a strobe light. It was moving quite fast to the east towards the Atlantic Ocean. I'm right under one of the flight paths to Miami International Airport so I see blinking lights all the time. This light seemed to be moving much too fast for an aircraft. This was different. I thought must be a plane but why is it moving so fast??? It didn't make any noise and I couldn't tell how high up it was and thought.. Drone??? The lights pulsed and flashed like a strobe light. I walked as fast as I could nearing my street which faces east trying to keep an eye on it. It was moving east and I couldn't keep up with it as it went behind the tree line. Then standing on my street I was able to catch this extremely fast moving light. It had turned now moving more northerly. The strobe lights had split into two sections one on the right, the other on the left going on/off alternately. What perplexed me was this was just a single multi-color strobe was now two lights alternating and seemed very wide apart. I thought maybe a banking airplane, and now I was able to see the lights on both wings. The lights jumped back and forth in a zigzag fashion. They weren't on a straight line of sight, as one would see on aircraft wings. The strobes blinked in an 8 o'clock and 2 o'clock configuration and then changed to a 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock going back and forth. Early morning, I was sitting outside and witnessed a oval like light in the sky just above the tree line. The light was clearly twinkling similarly to an airplanes signal, with red and white flashes. The object was stationary in the sky with spurts of erratic motion, never leaving the general vicinity of the original sighting. I clearly observed this unidentified object for a full 10 minutes. I am an intelligent person and cannot explain what I saw.

The object was moving at the same speed of a passenger plane slowing to prepare for landing. The object was moving southeast at a steady speed, then straightened to due east, then turned northeast. No sound and even flew near a passenger plane...possibly under the plane's path. We just saw the same thing tonight as we waited to watch the International SpacebStation fly over at 9:00pm. So, within 21 hours, we saw two "orb UFOs" and the ISS. Great day. My location has been a bit of a hot spot for UFO sightings. Many people in our zip code area has seen tbe same things.

Observed 3 lights in line, traveling South across the night sky, one after another. Could not make out a craft but could have been a cigar shape the way the lights were illuminating. The lights were the same brightness as the stars I had been looking at, and they were traveling faster than if you would see a satellite cross the sky.

Laying on the trampoline with my nephew, when we seen a large orange object flash and stay lit for about two seconds then disappear. As soon as it did, a smaller one did the same thing right next to where the big one was. When that disappeared, the same size orange ball appeared several miles away to the left. We waited for quite some time trying to figure out what they were, when I seen a craft (almost looked like a stork) start from one spot and fly to the south extremely fast and disappear leaving almost a contrail that didn't last for a few seconds. The craft was about 200 ft up from us. We have amended the time above, to reflect a nighttime sighting. We are awaiting confirmation of the time from the witness. PD
