Le 4 juillet 2009 entre 0h30 et 0h43 environ, un témoin sur un parking observe durant 2 à 3 minutes un phénomène lumineux au-dessus de l'immeuble voisin. Le ciel est dégagé et le témoin décrit des boules de feu de couleur blanchâtre. Le phénomène se déplace silencieusement selon une trajectoire S-N puis s'immobilise et change de direction avant de disparaître rapidement vers l' Est . Le témoin filme la scène sur son téléphone portable. Malheureusement, les vidéos de ce cas sont inexploitables et les deux photographies extraites par le témoin de la vidéo le sont également. Aucun autre témoignage ne sera recueilli au GEIPAN concernant l'observation de ce phénomène. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas en "C" par manque d'informations. Le samedi 4 juillet 2009 vers 23h40 depuis son domicile, un témoin observe 2 à 3 secondes le passage silencieux d'un disque lumineux dans le ciel. Le déplacement est rectiligne et à très grande vitesse selon une trajectoire Bordeaux-Perpignan. Aucun autre témoignage ne sera recueilli sur ce phénomène. Ce cas d'observation d'un disque très lumineux traversant le ciel en quelques secondes fait penser à une rentrée atmosphérique de météorite. Néanmoins le témoin ne note pas de traînée verte ou jaune comme attendue dans ces cas là. On peut penser que l'acuité visuelle nocturne du témoin n'est pas très bonne vu son âge. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "B" : observation probable d'une rentrée atmosphérique de météoroïde (météorite) [GEIPAN classification B — Météoride]
