It was going straight up then it suddenly changed its direction and went sidewards.its was very bright. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

While camping on Antelope Island, I saw in the sky to the East a bright green circle moving downwards towards the horizon and disappeared. It was about as big as the moon is in the sky, and it was as bright as a firework, only it was a solid fluorescent green circle and didn't change shape or fizzle out like a firework would. Another friend noticed the movement in the sky but didn't get as good a look at it as I did. I told my friends sitting across from me, "Hey, look, a UFO!" But by they turned around it was gone and they thought it was a joke.

Dexter, OR

I was standing on the valley floor of Lost Valley, below the little town of Dexter at the foot of Mt. Zion looking South. The sky was completely clear. The long distance view is amazing, I was outside, scratching my horses back, enjoying the stars late at night. There were flashes in the sky at irregular intervals just above the southern mountains. I've seen this before but not for so long and then they seemed larger...at first I assumed it was a far off storm moving in. There wasn't any sound associated with the light, my horses were perfectly content and they had been nervous the morning of the Springfield 4.2 earthquake we had recently that shook my house. When I checked the lightning maps and weather reports, there was no cloud cover or lightning locally or even miles and miles away from us and I've found that report to be quite accurate. The flashes were too large/widespread to be fireworks and it was too late to be forest blasting plus--there would have been noise. It made me wonder about the reports of light flashes I've read about that appear just before an earthquake. It illuminated the southern horizon. I have a background in aviation-groundschool and IFR and know a bit about meteorology, but I can't make a good guess what caused it, so thought to post it here. I don't think it was heat lightning, I could be wrong. Thank You.

star gazing on rook deck in Nantucket. Saw three very bright white pulses about 5 seconds apart viewing between the two stars that make up the handle of the Big Dipper. Object appeared to be very high (outside of our atmosphere) and simply fanished

Playa Vista, CA

Tonight around 9:15PM I saw what appeared to be a swirling lightning bolt swirling towards the sky. It was going away from the earth. It also appeared out of nowhere and then vanished just as quickly. The object resembled a bright white and yellow cork screw lightning bolt. Only it did not act like lightning. It was moving away from earth and was bigger and had two different distinct colors. The location of the object was directly north in the horizon. It was just above the mountains. It was not high in the sky and not too low. I was on my balcony looking towards the Santa Monica Mountains when I saw the glowing bright light rod appear. It resembled a strange swirling corkscrew bolt of lightning, but it came out of nowhere. It was bright! It resembled a lightning bolt, but slightly different. It looked like the corkscrew motion was going towards the sky. It was a glowing. It has two distinct colors to the bolt. One part was a bluish white color and the other part was yellow. The colors were separate from one another, but were swirled together like different colored shoelaces. The bolt resembled a swirling portal. It was unbelievable. I've never ever seen anything like that. It was massive. Just eye level in the sky and appeared out of nowhere, swirled towards the sky, then vanished. A helicopter immediately came to the seen right after. Not sure if it was coincidence, but very odd timing. If I had to guess the distance from my balcony to the object over the mountains, I would say it was 10 miles away directly in my viewpoint. It was in the center horizon of the sky, eye level just above the mountains. It appeared to be 3 feet in height vertically from where I was located, so it was huge! It was the weirdest bolt of lightning that I ever witnessed. Sighting lasted 2-3 seconds at the most, but it seemed like a long time because I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. It wasn't a craft, but it was definitely extraordinary.

Caught full glimpse of what was a bright flash about a mile north east of phoenix airport no airport traffic at the time. Was a brilliant blue flash outward than a bright white body like. No transformers had gone off not a cloud in the sky. The white flash inside the blue was extremely bright. Have seen them once or twice prior some time ago. But this was best caught the entire flash.

On the fourth of July, at 1600 hrs., my lady and I went camping near Deer Head Campground, NM, and we were looking at what we thought was the the bright star to the west as always lit, always the brightest everyday, but I was mistaken this time as it grew brighter, looked like an air plane landing, soon after had a beam come down, like an led with blue light surrounding the beam, so we thought helicopter? Due to the object moving with the spot beam, the beam turned off and it started moving erratically up, down side to side, soon after it faded, the entire time you could only see the bright light as if a plane was landing, no shape was identifiable but eventually thought I do, not close enough to make us leave due to an estimated mile out, we blew it off, around 1am we spotted light through the Forest, I thought maybe the moonlight, it got brighter and spread out more across a 100ft area, we thought maybe ppl with LED flashlights, but the lights didn't move, soon after it changed color, blue, bright white and partial red, yes ironic but I don't scare easy,was an estimated 50 to 100 yds towards the top of the hill we were next to, so I decided, if ufo, we need to leave went to grab my keys took about 5 seconds, came back to observe what is happening, and it had disappeared,was pitch black in the Forest, we decided to leave since our camp neighbors were asleep, was not the moon cuz it doesn't move in 5 seconds and a pretty quite area even on the 4th of July, small camp ground and it wasn't ppl or anything from this world, I called it, we left after two incidents in one day on separate times, and the second was literally walking distance, both times my phone was in the tent so recording was even on my mind, was only me and my lady so was worried about us more, this is not a hoax, was near dear head camp ground NM. Northern Allegheny County, PA

9:30 PM on Saturday, June 27th, multiple flashes of light were seen in the skies above the northern townships of Allegheny County. Following the flashes of light, which were mostly of a reddish hue, were streaks of blue lightning. My wife and I, along with our 5 month old son, pulled over into a residential driveway off of Middle Road, Hampton Twp, to get a better view. While waiting for more flashes, we were startled by a low flying helicopter with no lights! The helicopter was only visible through these 'flashes' which occured evey 5-10 seconds. It appeared that said helicopter was following the path of these 'flashes'. Once the flashes went over the tree line, my wife pointed out that a friend on Facebook also mentioned them over Cranberry Twp, in the direction in which we were presently. This evening was riddled with severe weather. Prompting both flood and tornado advisories. A tornado was even captured on film, which is extremeley rare for the area. This is the second time I have experienced an event like this while living here. The first, was when I was 13, and noticed a ball of light morphing colors in the sky and dripping a liquid red substance. We have corrected the time above. PD

At somewhere between 5am and 6am, I heard a really loud noise that at first I thought was an airplane, although there are no airplanes that come anywhere near here after the evening. This noise was pretty low sounding and sounded almost like a bulldozer going over the house, shaking it. There was also a really bright beam of light that lit up the whole wall in one of the bedrooms, which has blackout curtains. This didn't sound like thunder, and it wasn't lightning. Plus, we've lived in this house for about eleven years now and no bright light like that has come in. The noise woke everybody in the house up, and one of us actually thought that something had hit the house. The bright light came from the ground, up. Behind the house is a big field, small woods behind that, and a large golf course. Not sure if any of the neighbors saw or heard it because this was around a time that most people are asleep. I'd love to know if anybody else saw it, or what it could possibly be... It lasted about 10-15 minutes. No idea if there was any missing time or anything, but there are 5 witnesses.

A sequence of flashes with no sound in the sky above our home. They lasted 20 seconds. Dogs were barking in the neighborhood non-stop. A sense of electricity in the air.

6 eastbound flashing craft hig rate of speed erratic flight. Unknown how high but higher than clouds. 2 minutes later 1 of the same southeast bound at higher rate of speed. Very fast and erratic.

Bright ball of light illuminated to the south-west of me, over NE Lakeville, MN, as I was driving eastbound on CR 46, near the intersection of CR 46 and Pilot Knob Rd. The color was bright white with a blue tint to it. It was partly cloudy out at the time. The light was well below the partial cloud deck at appx. 3500 ft. The light became brighter as it moved in front of me, due east, appx. 1/4 mile down the road. It was moving extremely fast, faster than any commercial airliner could fly, from south-west to north-east. As it moved north-east, it suddenly disappeared over the NE portion of Rosemount, MN.

I saw a bright flash to the North. I called my son out to see it and within a minute we saw another bright flash, it had moved quite far in that time, and was seen in the northeast sky. Within 10 seconds another bright flash which would make one to believe it was heading in a northeast direction, again, a great distance from the previous flash. After that we didn't see it anymore. These are large flashes of light and I have been seeing them for a number of years now and I have never seen anyone reporting in them. The bright flash does not always stay "on course", I've seen many nights that it wifi start in the north, appear next to the east, then back to the northwest. Also, based on the timing of the flashes, this light is moving much faster than an airplane or satellite, or the space station. In fact, I've seen the light on nights when the space station is not flying over our state. I marked 1-3 crafts due to the fact of distance moved between each flash. Maybe I'm not seeing one flash flashing 3 times but maybe 3 flashes slashing 1time. (Does that make sense?"

Strange green and blue flashes appeared in the night sky at around midnight. They were so bright that they lit up my living room. I decided to see if anyone else had seen them, so I scoured my social media sites, and sure enough, multiple people saw it. It was not stormy and it faded away instead of flashing away. Observed bright white flashing light similar to an aircraft strobe light. Occurred as 3 single flashes about 5 to 10 minutes apart approximately 5 to 10 degrees east of the cup of the big dipper in the northern shy. The flashes did not appear to change location in the 15 minutes observed.

I saw what I thought was a satellite or the ISS as it was moving very fast across the night sky. After about 20 seconds it started going the opposite direction, then zig-zagging up and down. I was outside with my daughter when I saw what appeared to be a star flash and then disappear. Then I noticed two more flashes that appeared farther away. All three looked like stars. Then we both saw the same brighter one reappear and flash out again. It had moved in the sky. The other more dim ones did the same but at different intervals. This continued for 5 minutes and then all three just disappeared. It was very unusual. My daughter also commented that earlier she had witnessed a bright flash in the western sky near Fort Campbell that was followed by a sizzling sound. She said she assumed it was a transformer. But the flashes we witnessed together seemed like something flying very high and not like a plane.

7 times the sky lighted up in flashes of blue. I first noticed it outside my window, then, terrified, I went to my window and saw it appear then disappear. I am truly scared. I went and got my bf to come watch with me. He thought I was nutz, until he saw it too! It wasn't the first time I saw a ufo. I seen a triangle red lighted one before about a year ago. But this particular one put fear in my heart. I don't think I'll be sleeping tonite. In the last flash I saw it change from blue to purple. It was very big in size and appeared to be very close. It was right over the lake above the trees. We assume that the sighting occurred on June 1st, not May 1st, as indicated by the source of the report. Very very very bright ball of light and it just sat there for about 7 minutes then the lights dimmed down and it started moving slowly and it just dissapeared! What caught my attention was how bright it was! And it just sat there for the longest.

Ok, I was outside just smoking a cigarette, when out of my preferral (sic. peripheral), I saw this bright flash of light, so naturally it caught my attention and at the time nothIng was there. Then, next thing I know, about 10-15 seconds after the flash, this little orangish red (more orange than red) light started to appear and it was getting brighter and brighter, and bigger and bigger. It got so bright it just FLASHED, and then disappeared. I kept watching and it would do this every 15-20 seconds traveling west to east. I watched this for about 15 minutes. It seemed like the light would build up to maximum potential and then just flash then dissapear. Also, the brightness of the flashes would vary, but still very bright. At one point the flash got so bright I could see that it looked as if though the lIght was coming from the inside because I could see very distinct black spots which I assumed were the spaces between windows and I could see 4 windows that the light was emminating (sic. emanating) from.

In Brainerd, Minnesota, at about 9pm, we were enjoying a bright night sky with satellites ,airplanes and a few meteors. In the north east we saw a bright blue white flash then darkness then another flash, darkness then another flash. Three flashes in a westerly direction then a fourth flash east of the first flash then a fifth flash under the fourth. No sound with the flashes. I was a visitor and new to the area and my friend lives there in a cabin there at South Long Lake. We both were puzzled at what would do this.
