1/2/2016 21:35 A cold and partly cloudy night sky in Black Canyon City, Arizona. Which is twenty five miles north of Phoenix on I-17. I was leaving my house for work, driving west down the road. When I spotted three orange objects coming from the north flying above I 17 headed south. I stop and got out of my car to see what I was witnessing. Each one of the orange lights were at different altitudes and each orange light was acting differently when flying. The first orange light was the highest and look like it was flying straight. Then it shot straight up into the clouds. The second orange light was lower and was traveling slower than the first orange light. Then the scond orange light went up into the clouds at a fouty five degree angle and disappeared into the clouds. The third orange light was the lowest and the slowest. It look like it was taking it's old sweet time flying above I 17. Then the thrid orange light stared to climb slowly and all so disappeared in the clouds. None of the orange lights made a sound. I was about one mile from I-17 all I could hear was the traffic from I-17. I just stood there and said to myself, "What did I just see?" I know what airplanes and helicopters look like at night. There is a lot of air traffic fly over here.

Just southwest of the Naos star, there was a bright blinking light- white and red. It did not move or seem to be heading closer or further. Brightness was more than other stars. Not a satellite or other object when using SkyView. Was able to capture on video.

Saw 2 small orange lights moving together at the same rate. They were in a vertical orientation to each other but were too far apart to be part of the same craft. They were moving much too slowly to be airplanes and seemed too accurate in their spacing and speed to be two helicopters. I watched them as I drove then lost sight of them, turned around, and when I looked back they were there again. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information. PD

I happened to look out my window and saw what I thought was a typical aircraft. There was no sound, just a light. It was traveling in a southernly direction at a very fast speed. It disappeared into the atmosphere.

On new years eve I was out with my daughter looking at fire works then all of a sudden we saw a large flash of light that light up the whole sky, it was not a firework. Then I notice 3 lights in a triangular shape moving across the sky from North to South across the western horizon. Then some lights would just go out, disappear and others would show up behind them and then do the same as they got to a certain point in the sky. Then there was large flash again that light up the whole sky and my daughter got so freaked out, she was really upset, she thought aliens were going to abduct us. I have a video if anyone is interested. We have attempted to contact the witness via telephone, but unsuccessfully, to date. PD

Just after midnight, went outside to walk my dog. Saw an orange light in the sky, traveling north to south. Usual air traffic is east west. Moving very fast. It passed directly overhead. As I turned around to follow it, I noticed there was a second orange light in front. They didn’t appear to make any noise. (There were fireworks from the New Year’s celebration going on.) Also there was a cloud cover and they were definitely under the clouds.

Some of them seemed to dim slightly as they rose directly above our heads and then reappeared. They traveled overhead and quickly disappeared in the horizon. Then we saw 3 more rise from the same location, one behind each other in the sky and again travel overhead and disappeared in about 10 minutes. These lights were very easy to see and a bright red color.

I observed a orange light hovering over, or near, the fireworks were being displayed I thought maybe that's a drone but then instantly it started making erratic movements darting away faster and faster once out of sight and headed towards East St. Louis, and heading towards Illinois.

Walked onto porch to watch fireworks in the distance for New Years but these light balls were red out in the distance possibly down towards Lansdale or Harleysville, PA, and they were just sitting there for a lengthy period of time without any chance in altitude. these red lights would just sit there and then randomly split and still hover, and eventually go out after 45 seconds to a minute. They were not lanterns or flares. First there was 5 then 7 and then they started vanishing and coming back until there was only 1.

On December 31st/January 1st very close to midnight while traveling south on Ca. Hwy 99, from Sacramento to L.A.. Just south of Sacramento, about Elk Grove area. I noticed 6 to 7 light peach colored, illuminated objects in the sky. Moving in a Easterly direction. Having been in the Air Force and seeing many air shows at first I thought they were a formation of military helicopters, they were moving about that speed. Slow and steady. They did not appear to be that high up (less than a mile. Maybe a half to 3/4). Being night time it was difficult to tell. Also, being in a big rig and on a hwy it was not possible to tell by sound (too noisy). For that same reason I could not tell if it made any noise. The formation was very odd as well. One I've never seen before. 4 points to make a square, then one above to form what would look like the pitch of a house. Then another 3 times the length out from there. Pointing in the direction it was going. East, north easterly. I've been a night driver for many many years. I've never seen anything like this before. My gut feeling was this was not E.T.. I did not stop for a better look. So I could not tell if this was one object with lights or several objects (by seeing if there was a star field between them). They moved in perfect unison. I watched them for about a min before they and I passed beyond my windshield view. The color of the lights were very odd. Like no color I've ever seen on a flying craft. Not red nor orange. More like a faint peach color. Or a spot light turned down very low (color wise) yet the light was very illuminated. Having flown and taken lessons planes have two colors. One on each wing. Red and blue or blue green. White lights forward. Never peach. I thought about a blimp for New Years, that's possible, but I sure could not make out its message? For what it's worth. Much further south out around hwy 41 and 46 on both hwy 99 and Interstate 5 we have many night time crop dusters that you can get all kinds of crazy light formations (not different colors) because they fly in very weird positions to prepare for crop dusting in a very short span. My point. UFO sightings in those areas are more likely crop dusters than anything else. This or these were definitely not a crop duster.

At 23:00 while working on the local ski area got out of the machine I was running to move a fence when I noticed a red orange light just above the tree line. It was joined by a second light higher and to the left. I watched for a few moments and noted that the lights were moving. I went back to work continueing to watch and within minutes there were six lights. Over the next hour the lights would disappear and reappear make shapes ranging from triangles to crosses to L shapes. At first I thought someone was using a bunch of lasers but looking at where they were in the daylight that wasn't poosible. My other thought was someone was flying drones but even that was ruled out.

Both yesterday (12/31/15) and tonight (1/1/16) we have seen a star-like object in the southeast sky as we went on a walk. It caught my attention because it looks larger that a normal star and was twinkling different colors - blue, green, white, and red. It behaved like the star as it moved higher in the sky as the night went on. I lost interest as I thought it must have been just a star. Tonight I went for a walk with my parents and saw it again. I pointed it out and they thought it was very strange. My whole family lived hear O'Hare in Chicago for a majority of our lives making us used to aircraft. We got out the binoculars and four of us (me, my parents, my boyfriend) viewed it through the binoculars all seeing the same thing - distinct red, blue, green, white lights - my dad said it reminded him of LEDs because they were so vivid and distinct. I could also see the halo around the object changing color with the object. My parents said they've never seen an! ything like it. It was higher than the planes that had taken off from the PHX airport (south, southwest of where we are, which flew below within the same view). This is near 101 off Indian Bend Road. I am visiting my parents from Chicago. They said it is over the Native Amer Reservation east of Scottdale. I would like to know if this could be disproven, but everything man-made that flies doesn't really fit. Also, it doesn't fit as a star considering the distinct lighting. I also have video, but it's so grainy and it only looks like a star. Please let me know if anyone has an idea or if you would like video. Sighting of the star, Sirius. PD

A very bright round red light was hovering high over the residential area west of the strip moving very slowly and stopping in place, then suddenly disappeared. Observed from Canada by an airport control tower. 10-15 yellow orange lights slowly moving across the sky in trail and very loose formation. Came into sight low over horizon distant south east of Bellingham and disappeared approximately over Whidbey Island at what seemed to be a high altitude. Did not climb or descend, but just tracked across the southern sky from east to west until they disappeared, one or two at a time.

Left work and was driving west on I-70. noticed two red lights up in the sky northside of the interstate in Avon. About 26 minutes later, I was getting off at the Eagle exit and there were three more red lights up in the sky. no motion or sound.

At 10 pm and still going at 3:23 am in se portland towards eastern sky two bright white lights that look somewhat like a plane or helicopter but stays in one spot with a spinning ring of colores red green white and blue lights around it. One really bright one and about 9-15 or so smaller ones hovering around it. Some of them lined up in a row. I thought at first the airport was backed up and there were planes waiting in the sky to land. However not the case these move very fast like they disappear and then reappear in a different spot. Some of them seemed to be closer then others. There are quit a few. Stars?? PD

There are 4 circle-shaped lights in the sky, which keep circling and rotating. They a kind of blue in color. First, they bunch up together, and then they separate from each other. Afterwards they rotate and then bunch up again not quite sure what it is, other than lights moving in a continuous circle as described above. Advertising lights? PD

It was around 4:30pm, bright day, and I looked up and there were three stars that looked like Orion's Belt, but I was seeing it in the day. I continued to stare and them then they started to move from Orion's Belt formation into an H formation. The left star move up two more came into view from below totalling 5. They continue to move into an H then another come from the right. When they started to move my friend came down and I showed her what I was seeing. A plane flew by and I had to tell her to follow the plane and then said right there can you the stars because they were so high up. She did see the star things. I took 4 pics but they were so high my phone didn't capture them

While driving on CT15 near Hamden, CT, a string of orange lights was seen from south to north (Long Island Sound, disappearing overhead to the south of our position). Initially, 3-4 were seen in an area with routine jet traffic. They appeared to be converging to a formation. My first thought was that they looked like afterburners from jets coming into formation. After watching for a few seconds, several more emerged from below the horizon to the south in a long trail. This continued for several minutes in a trail formation. The objects were moving relative to each other, but primarily south to north. The angle of sight made it difficult to determine if they were level or climbing, but they seemed to disappear into the overcast. Local aviation weather reported overcast ceilings around 5000 feet at the time. From my vantage, they looked either to be a very large formation of aircraft under afterburner or a large cluster of rockets. The orange lights were the only visible lights. No reports have been seen on news or social media of other observations. This is unusual considering the recent reports of the Russian rocket re-entry in Nevada and the Trident launch off LA.

Le samedi 26 décembre 2015 à 20h30 un témoin allant chercher du bois derrière sa maison est intrigué par la présence silencieuse d'un point lumineux fixe orangé. Soudain ce point part à grande vitesse en direction du Sud et disparait derrière une colline. Ressortant pour aller chercher d'autre bûches de bois le témoin constate jusqu'à 4 points lumineux qui disparaissent les uns après les autres. L'observation, relayée par le témoin assisté de sa femme et de sa fille majeure, est accompagnée de photos, dont une ne présentant pas de bouger lors de la prise de vue de 1/4 de seconde. Cette dernière présente toutes les caractéristiques de l'observation de lanterne thailandaise : point lumineux de couleur orangé, pas d'éclats, pas de bruit, vol stationnaire, puis disparition (lors d'un mouvement rapide) correspondant à la fin de la bougie. On peut également prendre en compte la date, un samedi soir, lendemain de Noël, propice à une réunion de famille ou d'amis qui fêtent Noël. Elément complémentaire d’analyse : la situation météo donnée par le relevé Météociel pour Mende (situé à 25 km à l'Est) à 20 h indique un ciel couvert 8/8, pas de précipitation, visibilité 20 km, vent de SE inférieur à 10 km/h. La possibilité de lanterne est étayé par : - le ciel couvert : pas d'étoile visible, plancher nuageux estimé par le témoin à 1.500 mètres : ce n'est pas un avion de ligne, pas un satellite ou la station spatiale internationale (ISS). - un léger vent du SE, dans la direction des points lumineux : ce qui explique l’immobilité apparente constatée d'un objet flottant poussé par le vent. Pour la première observation, la fuite soudaine et rapide, conduisant à la disparition, correspond à la fin de la combustion la bougie de la lanterne, conduisant à la chute et l'extinction. Le départ vers le Sud interprété par le témoin est une erreur d'appréciation, elle correspond à la chute soudaine associée à la baisse de luminosité due à l'extinction de la bougie. Quant à la seconde observation d'un point se divisant en 3 points et 1 point séparé, cela correspond à un nouvel envol de lanternes, 3 d'entre elles se séparant au grès du vent, associé à un effet de parallaxe avec l'observateur. Le résultat de cette enquête conduit à proposer avec une forte probabilité l'observation de lanternes thailandaises, lancées un samedi soir, lors des fêtes de Noël. En conclusion le GEIPAN classe le cas en B: observation probable de lanternes thailandaises. [GEIPAN classification B — Lanterne thai]

About a dozen separate red lights with a smaller orange/dark yellow light on the port side. moving east from New Canaan area, then veering north over the Silvermine River. Sometimes moving slowly or hovering, sometimes three of them forming a triangle shape. They were flying low though there was no discernible shape in the dark overcast sky, and there was no sound coming from them. I tried to get photos but could not get my camera to work even after switching batteries, and I know how to use my camera. This was reminiscent of a UFO sighting that occurred about five years ago, also on Christmas night at about the same time. In the previous sighting about 12 craft, same description as above, flew in single file from the east then turned North over the river.

We saw(4) lights at maybe 5*-10* west of due south. The lights were pumpkin orange and brighter than the handful of stars visible facing south at the time. They were as bright or maybe slightly dimmer than the north star (opposite direction in the sky so a true visual comparison was not possible. However, I did look briefly behind me to use it as a general basis for comparison). The lights appeared out of no where and appeared to move independently for the first minute we saw them. They all shifted position both vertically and horizontally 2 or 3 times rather quickly. They then adjusted position relative to each other and formed a perfect square in the sky. It maintained this for about 3-5 minutes. Then one light (upper right ! of the square) disappeared suddenly like turning off a light. With the two left lights maintaining position, the lower right moved out and up, the three forming an equilateral triangle pointing west. It maintained this formation for 5-7 minutes or so. Just floating there. During this time, a commercial flight crossed between us and the lights while traveling west to east. From our view point it passed directly between us and the lower left light blocking it out completely in passing with the light reappearing in it's location after passing. The plane's lights were on and was likely either circling or on final approach to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). The plane was visibly brighter (about 2 times), and much lower in the sky, with both solid and flashing lights on. The lower left light looked like it descended suddenly out of sight. The lower right light appeared to travel due west and out of sight. Neither of these had a trail of any kind, just a qu! ick moving point of light. The upper light appeared to remain! in plac e but just got fainter and fainter over about 30 seconds and faded out once the other two had gone. It was like watching a light traveling directly away from you until it disappears.
