On the night of July 8th, about 10:00, I was getting ready for bed when I heard a noise and thought someone was pulling into our driveway. There was a yellow-orange light strobing outside our window. Thinking it was a police car, I looked out to see. There wasn't anything in the drive but whatever it was stayed in one spot about 45 seconds. Then I heard noise like power building up steam and whatever it was took off. I couldn't see anything ground level that accounted for it and nothing pulled onto the road at the end of drive. My husband heard the noise and thought it was somebody playing with a drone. I didn't think they were that big or made that much noise. It wasn't a helicopter, no chopper blades.

I was outside smoking a cigarette and, as I often do at night, staring at the stars. I observed a small light blue solid light begin to move across the sky towards the southwest. The shape appeared to be circular, but was far too high to be certain. At first glance I thought it was a star. The light traveled in a fairly straight line for the most part. It took one slightly sharp quick turn upward before returning back to its original course. At this point I called my girlfriend outside to make sure I wasn't crazy. After about 30 seconds of it moving in open sky it came close enough to a star for her to be able to see its movement as well. I was able to observe it for roughly 2 minutes, before it moved into the light pollution, at which I lost it. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

I was sitting outside of my house in midtown Tulsa. In the eastern sky, I observed what I thought was a bright star until I noticed that it was kind of wobbling back and forth. As I watched it shot up very quickly and then returned to its station. It kept doing this and then what really took my breath away was when it shot straight up moving kind of jerky. I watched it and went and got my husband out of bed. He has to get up at 6 for work, so I wouldn't do that on a whim. He observed the light moving back and forth as well and then went back to bed. I watched and I tried to video it but was unable to. I wanted to call someone, but I didn't know who to call. The mosquitoes are bad this time of year, so I would go in the house and come out again and look. This continued until I went to bed about an hour and a half later. I wish I had stayed up now! Star? On Thursday, July 7th, 2016, two friends and I were leaving the Star Pass Resort in the Tucson Mountains, west of Tucson, at about 9:30 or so. After having dinner there, we walked out the east side of the resort headed to the parking lot. We looked up into the northeastern sky to see a group of “stars” all of moderate intensity among thin wispy clouds centered about 40 degrees above the horizon line. Because the night was partly cloudy, there were very few stars visible and I found it quite odd to see so many visible “stars” of similar intensity grouped equidistant from one another. I thought there were about 14-16 lights. One of my two friends believed there were more than 20. He then exclaimed that they were slowly moving. I looked closer, comparing the relative proximity of two of the lights and was amazed to find he was correct. At that moment, a bright blue light, the brightness of a significant meteorite and much brighter than the other lights, fell straight down, zig zagging slightly before it disappeared from our line of vision behind a wing of the hotel. At that moment, two other bright blue lights of similar intensity passed over our heads on parallel paths. We were swearing in amazement quite a bit at this moment. They continued steadily across the sky until they met up with the more distant, dimmer lights in the misty cloud bank to the northeast. This took about 15 seconds. When they joined the other lights they took on the same level of light intensity. Then they all faded away simultaneously. I am a native of Tucson, 47 years old with a Master’s degree. I grew up staring at the stars and have never seen anything like this before. My friends are 48 and 54 and are also well educated men.

I was driving past Austin Community College's Northridge Campus at 3:10 AM, when I saw an extremely bright white-blue flash of light in the southern sky. It was as bright as if someone took a picture of me with an antique flash camera from five feet away. I heard no sound. I pulled over in a nearby parking lot and waited for approximately 20 seconds, when an extremely powerful gust of wind hit me. The wind was was at least 60mph. I heard tree limbs popping. There was only one gust which lasted maybe 3 seconds. I drove home frightened, thinking a tornado was forming. I got home and checked the weather radar and saw no evidence of storms anywhere in Central Texas. Average wind speed as of this writing is 15 mph. I watched for hours before i went to bed. I thought it might be my eyes playing tricks or clouds moving but i was holding my head perfectly still, and was certain that it was moving jerkily up and sideways. If anyone else experienced this i would be very interested in information

I was driving my mom home to Palm Desert from Los Angeles via 210 east. On the left side - passenger side over head, a large green light came swooping down over to the left of the highway and just disappeared. It moved like a craft, very smooth. Could have been a meteorite. I meant to report it earlier but got sidetracked and forgot till I was listening to delayed show cast of CTC and when your report came on. The ironic thing was I was telling my work colleague about it while we were listening to it and then the next minute you reported a green lighter object from another report somewhere else. Ironic. All I could say was, see!? Anyway, it was quick, but exciting siting and if someone else saw it that night in that area, I would be interested to hear about it maybe there's an earthly explanation but I found it intriguing. While stargazing at Indiana Dunes State Park, we witnessed a star moving across the sky at a high rate of speed. It curved southbound and faded in and out. Twelve minutes later we witnessed a northbound star traveling at a high rate of speed. Witness does not provide a time of the sighting, so we have assigned an arbitrary time. Since he/she elects to remain totally anonymous, and to provide no contact information, we are unable to confirm the time. PD

About 22:00 I had looked north and saw a light that looked more red in color. I didn't see any flashing lights that you would see on an aircraft. I went in and got my wife. By that time it had moved some distance to the west. It then appeared more orange like and I thought maybe it was a hot air balloon. But then it picked up speed and headed north and started to fade in and out then eventually disappeared. It clearly wasn't slow moving and was not a hot air or similar craft. It was not a meteor since it changed direction. The acceleration didn't appear to be like anything I have seen before It was quite some distance away. I could only say it was a light. I can't be any more descriptive. I am a logical person and at this time, I can't come up with anything to call it other than a UFO.

The object looked like a ball of light in the sky. I first saw it on Cicero Ave it was floating south. I walked the dog and then I saw three lighted objects followed by four more and then 3 or 4 more behind them they came from the west (Oak Lawn) and flew over hometown, and they went east.

Watching fire works,saw light, watched come in and out of view, other similar objects joined it. Amazing thing, narrated as we watched, it was not questionable. Came and went right in front of our eyes. Date is flawed, and we have amended it. We are unconvinced that this is a serious-minded report. We have attempted to contact the witness, but were unsuccessful. PD

I was watching neighbors shoot off fireworks. Their backs were to the craft. There were 5 lights in the shape of the 5 side of a die. The object was in the northwest sky. I first thought it was a Japanese lantern, since it was the 4th of July. However, as I continued to gaze, the object didn't follow the typical Japanese lantern pattern. An interesting few things happened, as I intently watched the object. The object seemed to be watching the fireworks the neighbors were shooting off. Then in a split second, the object dropped down vertically and straight back up to its location. The brightness level stayed the same, the whole time. I went inside to grab my telescope to see it closer, when I returned, it was gone.

The fireworks just got done and then we saw about 5 things flying in the air we thought it was just fireworks but they didn't die down until about 10 minutes and it was just really odd.

I thought it was another firework until it stopped falling and remained in one spot and grew in intensity. I watched it for about 20 seconds. Keeping my eyes on it I moved to the front door and opened it up. It hadn't moved from the spot. I called my wife and son to the door and they both watched with me as it grew smaller and smaller until it was gone.

My husband and I were down by the small lake behind our house watching fireworks going off in surrounding neighborhoods. At about 9:30 pm or so, I noticed a light to the left of us behind a tree in our yard. I assumed it was some sort of firework. I saw it go past, toward the front of our house, and paid it little mind. About 5-10 minutes later, my husband exclaimed that there was an orange light in the sky. He had seen three orange lights in the night sky two to three months ago. He said that was the same sort of light he had seen previously. We watched the orange light fly above our house from east to west until it was out of sight. It moved in a straight line at a pretty rapid clip. The location in the sky was a little lower than where you would typically see a helicopter travel. A few minutes after that, we saw a third light, also moving from west to east but this one was a bit to the north and not directly over our house. We watched it fly toward the east until we could see it no more. There was no sound with any of the lights. No blinking, no trail. I will note that the fireworks going on were loud, but I think if they were a normal aircraft, we would have heard them. I took a photo, but it isn't good at all, sadly.

Last night there was a fireworks show in the Santa Barbara harbor. A group of us were watching it from the "Riviera" hillside overlooking the city and harbor. A few minutes into the show my attention was diverted to a green light ascending rapidly off the coast a couple of miles southeast of the harbor. It was "traffic light green" and appeared to be round. After a rapid vertical ascent of thousands of yards it stopped. It stayed stationary for a couple of minutes, then resumed another vertical ascent up to about 35 degrees above the horizon. Then it stopped again. Another couple of minutes passed and it began a very deliberate descent (not floating like a flare might do) to roughly where it had initially stopped. Another couple of minutes passed and it wobbled side-to-side briefly, then descended straight down to either the ocean or near the ocean, then the light blinked out.

There was a flashing green light that was stationary in the sky for about 5 minutes and then it made unique flight patterns that would be impossible for any aircraft I know of. It then streaked across the sky back and forth for 5 more minutes, way faster than a plane. Planes flew by it and it was a lot farther off in the distance than any of them. After that, it was stationary again for about 10 minutes, and then it disappeared.

Saw a red/orange ball of light slowly pass overhead. I know it had nothing to do with fireworks. I did not see any solid shape, just an red/orange ball of light. I thought it was a headlight of a plane but it was too big. It was about how high a plane is in the sky. I have not told anyone. I don't want to get teased, but I know it was odd.

A second satellite came into our view starting off large and bright and then dimming. I saw the same thing a few years back in the same location. Do photo satellites have a flash? I didn't think so but that was the only theory that we all hit on with the exception of UFO. Possible Iridium satellite? PD

We were watching the fireworks in North Olmstead, OH. A bright light was going across the sky and we assumed it was a helicopter or an airplane. All of a sudden it stopped, and began hovering. The light was very bright and red. For about a minute it hovered, then it quickly exited and disappeared out of sight immediately. It almost looked as if it were going upward very quickly. Initially, it appeared to be at least 30,000 feet. One of us saw a flash of light off to the side in the top of the sky.
