The report, as filed

I was outside smoking a cigarette and, as I often do at night, staring at the stars. I observed a small light blue solid light begin to move across the sky towards the southwest. The shape appeared to be circular, but was far too high to be certain. At first glance I thought it was a star. The light traveled in a fairly straight line for the most part. It took one slightly sharp quick turn upward before returning back to its original course. At this point I called my girlfriend outside to make sure I wasn't crazy. After about 30 seconds of it moving in open sky it came close enough to a star for her to be able to see its movement as well. I was able to observe it for roughly 2 minutes, before it moved into the light pollution, at which I lost it. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

I saw a bright orb, white in color, shimmering across the afternoon sky. I jokingly told my 6 year old it was a ufo thinking it was just a high flying plane, as well as pointing it out to my aunt. I tracked it northwest across the clear afternoon sky until it looked like it came to a stop above the house. It sat there and it started fading out until it either disappeared or I lost it in the bright blue afternoon sky.

In the northwest sky there was a red light, shaped like an "A". It hovered a few seconds and then appeared to bounce left and right while also changing colors. Then it headed in a northerly direction, stopping again to bounce around. Finally it got brighter and "shot" across the sky and up. There is a short video and picture.
