Both objects were very slow moving, bright, orange-colored lights, and then disappeared without warning. both came from the West going towards the east. We have seen these lights at different times during the night and daytime several times in the past six months, especially the light is so bright you cannot tell if there is a shape to it, but at times, there's more than one at a time.

On the evening of August 7th, 2017, at approximately 9:30 pm, while out in my front yard, I was looking up, as we were expecting rain and I was checking to see if any rain clouds had moved in. It was still clear with only a few wispy clouds scattered widely across the sky. A,s I was looking up I noticed what at first appeared to be a star, about the brightness of Venus. It was stationary in relation to the other stars, but, then began to move. I knew it was moving as it closed the distance between itself and a stationary star in my field of view. I'm familiar with aircraft, as I grew up on RCAF bases, and we are on the flight path of the airport in Winnipeg. This light made no sound, had no other lights or beacons, and moved much slower than even a landing aircraft, and it was moving east in a straight line, not to the northwest, which would be the case if it was landing in Winnipeg. I continued to watch it as it moved east gaining speed as it went, and the strange thing is it increased in brightness, the farther away from me it got, almost as if it wanted to make sure I could follow its progress. I remained visible until it disappeared over the horizon. I'm 62 years old a truck driver and don't drink or use drugs

Tonight, the sky was pretty clear, there were no clouds, and about 20 stars were visible from my perspective (I was looking through the balcony of my building). I spotted what appeared to be a moving star, initially directly over me. I like to watch stars and my region is usually cloudy, so I was trying to take in the view best as I could, thus why I was looking directly over me. The dot in the sky wasn’t moving in a perfectly straight line, but it was straight enough. It moved towards the horizon in front of me. I tried to show it to another person, but she couldn’t quite spot it (she wasn’t with her glasses). I watched it move for a bit, until a saw a shooting star. I turned around to notify the people in the living room, and when I turned back, I couldn’t spot it back, but I can assure that it wouldn’t have reached the horizon, assuming it was maintaining a steady speed. Now, about the light: It was warm white and steady, moving slightly faster than I imagine an airplane would. It didn’t seem to blink in any other colors, such as the wings in an airplane tend to do. Bear in mind that the sky was clear enough for me to observe the Doppler effect in the other stars. Furthermore, I’ve never seen an airplane fly that high in my neighborhood. There are two airports in the city. The first has very few flights coming off, and is mostly used for small, military training crafts during the day. The second airport has recorded flights in the time of the sighting (around 9 p.m.) but usually, planes are lower than the dot was. When conversing to the aforementioned person, she said she had witnessed similar sightings in the city. International Space Station was not visible from Curitiba, on the date indicated by the witness. PD

Daylight at Night. On August 6, 2017, at approximately 1:03am pst, in Springfield, Oregon, I witnessed a bright light. (I was on I-5, going south towards Springfield, in my vehicle, about 1 mile north of the Beltline.) The bright light was not from high beams of another car, but a very, very bright light, like daylight all around me! I could see the mountains, or hills, to my left, and I could see the color of the grass and trees as if it were daytime! It lasted about 1.5 to 2 seconds, went back to dark, then back to the same bright light for about 0.5 to 1 second. I drove for approximately .5 of a mile or less, before pulling over to call the Oregon State Police dispatch, to report it, and to find out if anyone else saw the bright light, or if there was an explanation. I described the incident to the dispatch woman, and she said she would put it out there, and find out if any officers had witnessed it. To my surprise, after I made a voice recording of what I saw, there was a voicemail from t! he same dispatch woman! She called to let me know that 2 state police officers had indeed witnessed the bright light, and didn't know what it was either! Since the incident, I have recalled it over, and over all day today (it is still August 6). I realize that it was a very big light, and a light that moved across the landscape and me in my car. I know it was a very big light, because it seemed to light up landscape at least 100 feet in front of me, and to my left at least 200 feet or more, in my best guess.

The source of the report has reported accurately. However, the Oregon State Patrol Dispatch [(541) 726-2536] and Lane County, Oregon, Dispatch [(541) 682-5111] report that a bulldozer, working under dubious circumstances, had struck a power pole, perhaps knocking it over, which had caused a very dramatic flash of light, and a resulting grass fire. Emergency vehicles and utility repair personnel were dispatched to the site. We express our gratitude to the OSP and Lane County dispatch centers for their efficient, and cheerful, assistance, which allowed our Center to solve this case quickly. PD

We saw a large and bright light above the peak of Mt. Crested Butte. We went inside for about 5 minutes and when we came back outside, the light was gone. We discussed that the light was too large and too bright to be a star, it made no noise, and was gone in minutes.

Almost directly overhead, at a distance that made the objects resemble satellite flares. The objects moved into the field of view from south to north, at first appearing as if they were satellites. They then stopped, and proceeded to move about in changing directions as if they were searching an area of the sky. This continued for more than 30 minutes and in fact had not yet stopped when I simply stopped watching. I frequently watch the stars and enjoy watching satellites and meteors on clear nights. I definitely know the difference between satellite movement, aircraft (I'm a private pilot), and stars/planets. At times it appeared as if the objects 'released' other very faint objects. This is hard to be certain of, given the distance and very faint nature of the secondary objects. Also, at times it appeared as if a perfectly concentric circle of blackness enveloped the objects; again, given the distance this feature was hard to discern at all times. Overall distance covered is best estimated as follows: I noticed the objects coming past about 230 degrees on the compass and they stopped and "searched" at about 300 degrees moving around an area encompassing roughly 290-310.

This is the second time I have seen these lights in a 5 days. The first sighting was on 7/31/17 at approximately the same time. I will start with that sighting but, am using this date because it was the most recent. On the night of July 31, I went out and sat on the side steps of my house to have a cigarette, my steps face to the east. The sky was clear and just beginning to get dark. There were whispy clouds very high up and a light breeze from the south. The moon and stars were visible. I looked to the southeast and noticed a very bright, dark, red, light coming from that direction. I watched it cross the sky and it went behind a tree that is in my neighbor's yard that is about 25 ft. high. when it came out the other side of the tree, I could still see the red light and it headed off to the north. When it was just about out of view, the light was no longer visible but, it looked at that time to be a very black cylindrical shape. About a minute later, I saw another, and called for my brother to come out and look. It was identical to the first. He thought at first it was a plane but, there was no noise at all, no contrails and absolutely no sound. The light was steady, not flashing. It too moved on the exact path and looked to be a very black cylindrical shape as it went out of view. About another minute passed and we saw another of these lights come from the same direction only it looked a little more pinkish red. It, too, flew the same course and at about the same altitude which, I estimate to be about 1 to 2 thousand feet. I am not good at distance so this may be incorrect. As we watched, 4 more came, spaced about the same time apart. Some seemed to be further to the east and some coming closer to where they were almost directly overhead. Most of them blinked out when they were parallel to us or when they had gone a little further north. Since we could not see the red light on the first two, as they went out of view, it is possible that they turned if the lights were attached to some kind of craft, or, they just blinked out. I got my video camera but, I was shaking and that video did not turn out well. The lights through the camera looked orange instead of red but, to the naked eye, they were red. My brother thought they might be Chinese lanterns, fireworks but, they seemed too high and some flew faster and some slower. 8/4/17--Again, I went out to have a cigarette before bed. I happened to look to the southeast and was amazed to see the same lights as the previous sighting, again coming from the southeast. This time, two came at once and the one that was furthest to the east all of a sudden made a 90 degree turn and went straight east. I hollered for my brother but, he was upstairs and didn't hear me. I continued to watch and witnessed 4 more of these lights, one flew almost directly overhead. I got my video camera again and this time the video wasn't quite so shaky. I tried to zoom in full but, it only caused the light to look like a diamond shape which, I know to be something with the camera and not the correct shape of the light. These were identical in every way to the ones I had witnessed previously. The conditions of the sky were the same also. Again, there was no sound, no smoke like flares would have, no contrails, nothing. I could not see a shape to these, only the very bright lights. I have no idea what they were but, the one making the 90 degree turn to the east was what really made me wonder what it was that I saw.

My brother and I witnessed a large light in the sky, moving from the south, heading north. The light was about the size of a pencil eraser in the sky. The object seemed to have a circle or halo of light surrounding it. After a minute of amazement, I thought to grab my high-powered binoculars. Looking through the binoculars the point of light became sharper, but remained just that, a point of light. The surprising observation was the circle of light/halo surrounding the object. As the point moved, the halo moved with the light. The halo was set apart from the point of light, I could clearly see other stars in the space between the light and the inner ring of the halo. I submitted this report after seeing another individual submitted a report on the same sighting on 8/4/17 out of Rockford, 40 miles west of my location. As a closing comment we have almost a sighting a month here of strange phenomena in the sky (mostly flashes). (( Witness indicates that the date above is approximate. PD)

Three orange/yellow lights it was bright I thought it was a drone, helicopter, plane, or even one of those candle lanterns, but no it wasn't it made the cows go crazy and it disappeared then cows stopped it came back and they went crazy again it disappeared out of sky so fast and would move to other spots in the field and leave it was oval looking but not sure it shocked me never seen one before but I do believe it was a UFO because it was oddly shaped and didn't seem right and how the animals were reacting.

At approximately 4:04 PM, a star-like light, bright enough to see in daylight, was spotted by my friend in northwest suburban Omaha. It was stationary and he pointed it out to me. It took me a second to find it in the sky. Once I did, it seemed to become slightly brighter. It was to the northwest of our location. This occurred for approximately 2-3 minutes. It moved rapidly seemingly to decreasing altitude (lower), then moved to the west and then to the north quickly before disappearing. Total time of occurrence from spotting to disappearance was approximately a little over 3 minutes.

I was walking my dog in the back yard, when I happened to look up and noticed a series of flashing lights in the sky over the farm across the road. It appeared to be a central white light with faint red lights flashing in a random pattern around it, I observed the lights for approxamitley twenty minutes it remained stationary for the entire time before seeming to fade away. I am a grounded college educated individual with a background in history.

I was sitting on the deck at approximately 9:30 p.m., when I saw a bright green light moving in what appeared to be a south to north trajectory. The light appeared to be a bluish-green ball with a trailing tail, like a falling star. At first glance it was like a firework, however, it was much larger, brighter, and moved much further than any firework I have ever witnessed. (( We have amended the time to 21:58 hrs., predicated on a very accurate measurement of time by one of the witnesses.

At about 9:58 pm on 7-29-17 a bright white and green light with a long trail similar to a meteor EXCEPT there was ZERO change in size, shape, color, tail, trajectory, or altitude, from horizon to horizon, and we did NOT see is diminish at all. We were near Yelm, a town on a prairie plateau in the South Puget Sound area, with a big sky view. The color was silver white, with a long bright white needle like tail much longer than I have ever seen with a meteor. It had inside the small super bright oval shape a small faint green color to the core with a very short green tinting into the beginning of the tail. The green was only by the object itself, it did not bleed into the tail more than about 5% of the overall length with its full tail. This is more conducive of a missile, than a meteor, in that its magnitude never changed. The light was identical to the light of small missiles, such as patriot missiles, but much faster, and much longer. As for the flare of missiles right at the front of the propulsion fire we couldn't see well, it was too far off, but it appeared to have a faint flare to it, not quite doubling it thickness at that point only, it didn't trail at all, almost like just a blur around the start of the burn area. This did not look at all like a meteor after initially seeing it, and it appeared to be about 40,000 to 70,000 alt., and if so, would put the speed about mach 10. I flew flight test in Lear's, and I know what I saw. It did not appear to change altitude in the least. Furthermore, EVERY meteor I have seen acted identically the same. This was only fast and bright, no other similarities to meteors. It DID NOT flare up and fade off as meteors do. It DID NOT have the orange and particulates that flare off meteors in about the middle of their entry to our atmosphere. There were no sparks or glittering. I did not have a compass with me last night, but looking at the map I put the direction of travel near 350 degrees. Source of report is a very experienced pilot. During a telephone conversation with the witness, he reported that the object was approximately 12-15 degrees to the east of overhead, and that it traversed approximately 140-150 degrees, from south to north, in approximately 7-8 seconds. Further, he estimated that the object's apparent size was just a bit less than Venus, in the eastern morning sky. He added that he did not believe that the object was a meteor. PD

As I was looking to the South, I noticed a bright flash of light about 20 degrees above the horizon. At first I thought it was an iridium solar panel flashing up, but the star like light source went from bright to a medium dim over a second or so, then the same thing happened another 20 degrees or so above the previous light source, doing the same thing. Then a few seconds later I noticed the same thing directly to the West about 40 degrees above the horizon. All of these sources of light stayed stationary and dimmed from a medium brightness to a very low over five or so minutes, but it was hard to tell with fog and cloud cover coming over the valley. We were staring at the stars, when a bright light flashed for approximately 2 seconds, before disappearing, It seemed to have a spin to the movement, and flash then saw another slightly less bright in a similar area in the sky they were about 45 seconds apart.
