My family was setting off fireworks. At around 10:30pm two reddish/orange spheres appeared in the northern sky. My husband and I noticed the glowing balls above the treeline. They were moving at a slow pace, almost seemed to hover moving from west to east. They appeared hazy. At first I thought thet were fireworks, but they hung there for a couple of minutes then moved slowly to the east, just above the treeline. After about five minutes, they just disappear. We (my husband and I) did not say anything to each other. Aproximately a half hour later my husband said to me, "What about those glowing balls?" At the time, I had no idea anyone else had noticed them. So when he said that, I felt varified. We started to tell each other what we had witnessed. We saw the same thing. I noticed that others, in Florida, as well as neighboring states, had witnessed the same sightings. The same reddish/orange glowing hazy balls in the night sky.

Went out to say goodbye to a friend for the night. Happened to look up and we both saw three circular, orange glowing lights. The formation did not change. The shape or color did not change. There was no sound. Moved slowly and all of a sudden gone. It was heading east. I remember the object was way above the sky. I'm not exact on time. But it was after 9-10pm.

About 10:30pm EST I saw a white/red light flashing flying in a very irregular pattern. It fly straight, veer from side to side, stop completely, and then resume flying (as described). It didn't appear to have any problems with acceleration. After stopping dead in its tracks, it would resume it's previous speed, without the need to accelerate and gradually maintain momentum. I followed it's trajectory (north east) until I lost sight of it. About 10 minutes later, I searched the sky in the direction I had last seen it. I saw a white/red flashing object, that appeared to be circling one area small area of the sky. Again, it would stop suddenly, and continue circling without needing to gradually accelerate. Unclear if it is the same object from earlier.

Letting off fireworks in the neighborhood I noticed 2 balls of orange light high in the sky....roughly southwest of downtown Seattle. They were a decent size, not moving very fast. I kept glancing up thinking they would sooner or later get closer but then 1 disappeared. They were too high to be a lantern and probably 5 or 6 times larger than a planet. I sort of discounted it and didn't even mention it to friends/neighbors. I just assumed it was a helicopter or something. But....very consistent glow and shape without a lot of movement. After 15 minutes or so, they were both gone.

On July 4, 2014, I was with my girlfriend in my backyard, sitting on the bench, watching the neighborhood fireworks. I turned to my left and saw a round, glowing, orange/red object in the sky. It was west of us, and low enough to the ground that I could make out the shape, but still far enough away that much detail was yet to be seen. I immediately begin to think of what it could be, but the shape, color, and behavior was nothing I have ever seen on any flying object that I witnessed. The object began to pulsate more rapidly and moving at a high rate of speed, faster than any plane I have witnessed. The object began to move south, and suddenly it stopped in mid air for a good half a minute or so. Suddenly, it began to speed away, going southwest, and disappearing within a few seconds. I could not believe what I just saw; I am a paranormal investigator with a background in Sociology, and consider myself open minded but very skeptical. I have read about alien ! and UFO encounters, but never witnessed anything of the sort, so I always wondered about the legitimacy of such claims. But after tonight, I am a bit more a believer, especially after digging online and finding that reports of UFO encounters in Chicago around the 4th of July are anything but uncommon. It helps too that my old neighbors down the street saw the same object last year!

Stillwater, MN

I was sitting on a boat on the St. Croix River near the Stillwater bridge waiting for the 4th of July fireworks. It was around 10 o'clock when I saw this what appeared to be an Orange (I believe it was Orange, maybe orange and white) light drifting in the sky, it didn't appear to be very high, and it made no sound at all. I know it wasn't a firework, or airplane, or helicopter. Whatever it was it was flying relatively slow and seemed to be following the river toward Forest Lake (heading North) very smoothly, I kept watching it drift off into the distance until it seemed to disappear. I couldn't tell if it just got out of sight or if it took off rapidly. My girlfriend was on the boat with me and she saw it too.

Our town did not have fireworks this evening (Fourth of July) so many in our area were having their own. Myself and two others went out to check the town out but as we approached the car I noticed a red "ball" in the sky, sort of hanging there high up and then it moved erratically across the sky in a jagged, forward motion. My friends agreed that it was moving strangely and appeared to be engulfed in fire (?). A father and son stopped their vehicle and saw the object as well. We watched it until it seemed to either fade out or move away from us. Incredible to see. Any others see this!?!?

On the fourth of July, 2014, my family and I were in the middle of lighting off fireworks, when all of someone notices this object with 6 to 8 red lights in what seemed to be the shape of a circle. This object headed in a straight direction. At first all the lights were on, then they began to start flashing in a random sequence (still the color red). We continued to watch it go in a straight line until it disappeared!!

At first I thought it was just a helicopter. Then people around us started to take notice of it, because the movements of it were so strange. At one point, it hovered downward real slow, then shot back up really fast, then shot forward, and then backwards. We couldn't take our eyes off it. It actually was there for about 20 mins, until it just disappeared in the blink of an eye. I am 100% certain that this was not a helicopter or any type of man-made aircraft. I've never experienced something like this in my life.

Waynesboro, PA

This evening at approximately 9:55PM in Waynesboro,PA, we witnessed multiple sightings of what appeared to be an unidentified craft ascending from the East at the near top of South Mountain. When the object first appeared, you could see what looked like the launching of a space rocket with a fiery base as it ascended straight up into the night sky in a SLOW ascension. The object would move slowly and go directly to the skies and then take what looked like a ‘slight wiggle pattern’ to the right before beginning to do what I can only describe as ‘cloaking’ itself. These objects (5 total witnessed) all followed the same pattern and did the same things. The appearance of each would take about 5 minutes before disappearing into thin air. Some were bright orange (4), only the second one was red. No sounds were heard in the night skies. At one point, several flashes of white light appeared across the horizon. The lights came from the north and looked like wide beams of strobe-like beams that you would only see in a rock concert setting. My friend and I tried to capture these objects ascending to the skies while holding our iPhones. Although the videos have shake errors, you can see them online using the following YouTube links: http://youtu.be/qRDLQdVmkCM http://youtu.be/hSGhHqSpP-Q Thank you for taking this report.

The UFO's that we saw were circular. Two had an orange glow & one had a red glow all of which had a foggy circular fog around them. They all seemed to move very fast & in the same flight pattern!! Exactly the same flight pattern!! They flew sideway in the sky & contained to move upward until they disappeared in the sky. They were two fast to be an airplane or helicopter & DEFINITLEY not anything to do with fireworks!! The fact that they could move side to side extremely fast was crazy!! It was AMAZING!!!!

North Tonawanda, NY

My friend and I who live in Buffalo, NY, drove out to North Tonawanda on July 4th to stroll around the Gateway Harbor and view the fireworks. While we were waiting on the bridge for the fireworks to begin there were a number of individual fireworks being set off by various people. As we watched the sky we noticed distinct red circles coming from two separate areas one after another. One in particular turned very black against the night sky hovered for almost a minute and then vanished in front of our eyes. All of the others were red and glowing. They seemed to have a slight aura as they passed overhead. One stream of objects were coming from the north and the other were coming from the southwest. Although they were coming from different directions they were going towards the southeast. They passed over us before and during the firework display. Other people were commenting on them too. We have no explanation for them, they were silent, and there were several planes in the air that must have seen them.

While we were watching 4th of July fireworks we saw 3 orange circles in a triangular formation move away from the fireworks into the northern sky. The lights moved in the same formation for approximately 2 minutes, then began to break formation and were joined by 2 additional orange circles. The group of 5 moved together, slowly, for another minute or so before disappearing.

This incident lasted about five minutes till the distance of object reached it’s vanishing point. This is not my first time seeing strange phenomena in North America. Good luck with the info... I went out and was looking at fireworks when I saw two orange lights that were stationary. I watched for them to move for around 5 Mins but they never moved. I thought fireworks, helicopters, logical type stuff first. I then went to get my phone to record and they were gone when I returned. I came back out around 15 mins later and there were three then, all orange stationary lights. After around 10 min's, the lights faded off in a southwest direction. Did anyone else report this?
