At approximately 19:30, I was on a flight as it approached Portland International Airport. I was seated in a window seat approx. 6 rows in front of the wing at that time. Around 15 minutes prior to landing (NE approach), I noticed an unidentified object in the sky, while viewing the landscape below. We were still several thousand feet off the ground (houses were approx. 5mm in size) at this time. The object appeared to be stationary and approximately 1000 feet below us and to the left of the plane. It consisted of a cluster of round metallic objects making up the top half of the craft, which via a circular midsection joined an elongated four sided pyramid as the bottom half. All areas of the craft were silver and reflective in nature. The top half can best be described as if you created a larger sphere out of adjoining smaller spheres. This top half was not elongated or billowing in the wind as a weather ballon might do. I observed the object for approx. 5 seconds, as my plane passed by. My view of the object was excellent. There were no clouds in the sky, and I could see multiple details of the craft. I did not note any vapors or heat waves emanating from the craft. After we left the craft behind, I began scanning objects on the ground to reference the crafts size. My best guess is comparing it to a semi truck while we were 600 ft above it. Others may have seen this craft but no one said anything on the flight. Unfortunately we passed by too quick to take a picture, but I am 100% certain of what I saw.

Yellow/Orange glowing Orb coming from east, traveling Nothwest. Several thousand feet in altitude. Looked yellow/orange as it was approaching, then red as it continued. Before we lost sight of the first, a second and then a third appeared in the same flight pattern. Seemed evenly spaced. Absolutely no sound coming from them. After we lost sight of the first three, about 5 minutes later, a fourth appeared. Again same flight pattern & silent.

My wife and I observed the object just south of directly, overhead Burnt Cedar Beach in Incline Village, Nevada, at approximately 80 degrees. It seemed to be highly reflective and was easily visible though seemed to be quite high. It was very small and since it seemed to be holding its position it was not generating much attention despite the large number of people on the beach. I watched the object, slightly above and to the left of the crescent moon for over 2 hours. The object was still there when I left. I have done some research and found that Google was doing some balloon work in the area and may be an explanation for what I saw. Please refer to the web site; please pardon the name of the site I mean no offense. http://www.google.com/loon/ We spoke via telephone on two occasions with the witness, and he seemed to us to be exceptionally eloquent and serious-minded. He has extensive experience in the aviation industry. We suspect that he is an excellent witness. PD

I am a local firefighter and outdoors man. I was out side smoking a cigar when i was looking at the stars after about a minute or so i see the yellow light triangle/diamond/teardrop like shaped. It was moving slowly from my perspective it moved about 5 cm then it got brighter and it was gone this lasted about 30 seconds give or take. I have now been keeping my eye out and will report any more sightings and activity seen.

A very bright orange object moved at a very fast rate of speed across the sky from south to north. It appeared to be shaped like a hot air balloon but much smaller. It was very bright almost like on fire at the bottom of the object. The object appeared to be very close and low in altitude as it moved along the coast.
