The report, as filed
A very bright orange object moved at a very fast rate of speed across the sky from south to north. It appeared to be shaped like a hot air balloon but much smaller. It was very bright almost like on fire at the bottom of the object. The object appeared to be very close and low in altitude as it moved along the coast. Within 20-30 seconds the object disappeared in the northern sky. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

They seemed like aircraft at first but then began changing their flight patterns and moving in non-linear motions. Lights would get bright then fade. At one point they all disappeared and then 2 returned. Seemed to be following the shoreline back and forth as if looking for something. Finally, after almost 55 mins, the lights disappeared. Driving down Od Post Rd. Saw 3 extremely bright orange circular lights in a triangular pattern. Off to the left and off to the right were two additional bright orange objects. Traveled down the road and could still see the lights, in the sky, for about five minutes. When we got to the beach area I got out of the car to take a picture, but the lights had gotten smaller, they were at some distance, and faded away.
