Le 4 août 2007 vers 14h une famille observe les évolutions d'une petite sphère brillante se déplaçant à de vitesses variables et changeant de direction. Le niveau d’étrangeté de l’observation est faible : une forte proportion des caractéristiques décrites du phénomène correspondent à celles de phénomènes connus ( ballon). L’interprétation proposée est vraisemblable pour expliquer l’observation. Bien que provenant d’un témoignage unique (questionnaire sans procés verbal de gendarmerie), la quantité et la qualité des informations décrivant l’observation sont objectives et fiables. Le cas est classé B comme l’observation très probable d’un ballon. [GEIPAN classification B — Ballon]

En visionnant son film pris lors d’une sortie champêtre en voiture le 27 juillet 2007à 21h, le témoin constate le passage très rapide et silencieux d’un phénomène gris sombre, ovale ou rond dans le paysage. Le témoin qui n'a rien vu lors de la prise de vue, adresse ultérieurement au GEIPAN son questionnaire, trois images et un lien vidéo. La vidéo originale demandée ne sera jamais fournie. Un seul témoignage sera recueilli sur le phénomène. Le PAN apparaît à la minute 1 :01 de la vidéo et disparaît dans le même temps (voir le compte rendu d'enquête). Le témoin pense à un objet passant à très grande vitesse et même prenant un virage à 90°. L’image qui apparaît furtivement est très semblable à celle produite par un insecte ou un grain de poussière passant dans la zone où la mise au point de l’objectif n'est pas bonne (observation dé focalisée) puis il disparaît rapidement car il n'est plus non résolu par la caméra.
