My friend and I were standing in the street in East Islip, NY, at approximately 10:30 PM last night (July 5th)when he pointed over my head towards the Northern sky and said, Look at that! What the heck is that? I turned around to see what he was pointing at and saw what looked like a single, large orange glowing fireball traveling horizontally across the sky. We both are very familiar with the appearance of all types of air traffic at night, as he lives a few miles from McArthur Airport and I live right under the approach path for La Guardia Airport. We agreed that this was no aircraft that we had ever seen before. There were no blinking marker lights or any engine sound whatsoever. It appeared to be a ball of orange colored fire. Although we were unable to determine the object's exact altitude, I would estimate it to be around 2500 feet and, for it to travel the distance that it did in 2-3 minutes, it must have been traveling at a speed equal to or greater than large commercial aircraft that I have observed approaching JFK or La Guardia. The object continued to glow a bright orange and moved rapidly in an Easterly direction, growing smaller, until it disappeared from sight in a period of time of about 2-3 minutes.

3 orange globes traveled across the Holbrook sky in a triangle shaped formation. Direction was from west to east, One of the three seemed to disappear, while the other 2 remained in sight for several minutes, no sound.

While attending a 7:05 pm ball game at Frontier Field, I witnessed what I thought originally was an air plane, moving in an easterly direction over the downtown area of Rochester. After observing the object for about a minute I noticed it had an irregular flashing that looked like a rotating cylindrical shape that moved somewhat irregularly further east. The object was very small and seemed to be at a very high altitude. Then it disappeared. Then, about thirty seconds later a smaller dark object appeared in almost the same place as the previous object, seemed to do a loop and quickly vanished. The sky was very clear, no clouds, no other aircraft in the area. My girlfriend also observed the objects as well, though other people around us in the crowd of about 7,000 appeared to not see it. We witnessed a very clear sky tonight after fireworks and saw (twice) what appeared to come out of nowhere circle in the sky - very similar in size and brightness to that of a star. This same occurrence happened twice, one not too long after the other, though we did not see both dots moving through the sky in synchrony. Each glowing circle moved across the sky in curved and non-linear formations, both at separate occurring times. We debated for a while if either could be a plane, but they were not blinking at rather very strong fixed light sources moving in ways quite adverse to what I've witnessed as regular flight patterns. Each circle would move through the sky appearing out of nowhere/we just noticed it? /seeming like a shooting star, however, it did not burn out and would continuously move across the sky until we were straining our eyes to try and watch it and then it would disappear. We did feel we saw a significantly larger number of planes tonight as well, though I'm quite sure that just happened to be a separate weird thing.

Took 2 videos of these oval red lights patrolling from West to East over fireworks. One red oval stayed hovered above the moon for nearly an hour. The red ovals when I would film and talk about it, one slowed down over me than moved lightening fast to the east. There were also about 5 fast moving white UFO's that were NOT planes or drones. My friend works as a flight control tower at Islip Airport in NY and knows about them. My camera battery went dead after it zoomed away and it was fully charged.

My wife and I were coming back home after a night out, before entering our homes we noticed a round sphere in the sky it was traveling in a trajectory South West heading East. If I were to take a guess I would say the object was traveling at around 30 miles per hour. After viewing the object for about 30 seconds, another object of the same shape and size was viewed, it followed the same trajectory as the first object. Inside the sphere looked what seemed to be like a glowing torch. This was not a balloon, it had a constant speed and was traveling at a constant straight line trajectory maintaining constant height. There was no sound coming from the objects. Both objects disappeared out of sight after about 2 minutes.

These lights stood over my house for a good 15 seconds then they simply vanished. In my sighting I saw a tiny yellow ball then following it was a medium redish, orangey bright light riding next to the same exact object.. Then there was a big reddish orangey ball of light at the end with a tiny yellowish ball at the end of the whole thing.

We saw a bright orange glowing orb, similar to fire, fly overhead and out of site in about 90 seconds. A similar occurrence happened last year, 7/29/13, involving two identical objects which were exact matches to this evening's sighting. Last year I thought they may have been Hot Air Balloons. They seemed to travel too fast o be Hot Air Balloons.

UFO Sighting: Tarrytown, July 4, 2014. On the evening of July 4, 2014, I was watching the fireworks display over the Hudson River from a friend’s balcony in Tarrytown, just north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. The river was to my left, and the town was to my right. There were many fireworks displays up and down the river and many planes over the river, both large commercial jets at higher altitudes as well as many small private planes at lower altitudes. There were 8 people in our group, including small kids, and as many as 100 people lining the streets near the building where I was watching from. The Tarrytown Fire Department had many members present. At 10:51 pm, as there was a pause in the show in preparation for the “Grand Finale,” I happened to glance at the sky to my right, away from the river. I saw a bright blue light streaking across the sky at low altitude, perhaps a few hundred feet up. It seemed destined to streak into the river until it skidded to a halt and jumped back away from the river, taking a stationary position near the shoreline. The movement of the object instantly struck me as bizarre, as it covered an incredible amount of distance in a few seconds and made a sharp 180 degree move. It also seemed to disappear for a few instants, or “skip” as it moved into position. I took out my cell phone and took one photo and a 1 minute 47 second video. Even though the fireworks finale was going on behind me I couldn’t take my eyes off the object. It was an extremely bright blue light, it appeared to be round or orb shaped, and perhaps 5 to 10 feet in diameter, though the exact size was hard to tell. When the fi! reworks display ended the object instantly vanished. A few others in my party saw the object after it moved into its stationary position, but nobody saw it move into position but me. It was unclear to all of us what it might be. I do not know if anyone on the ground saw it although I am pretty sure I saw members of the Tarrytown Fire Department pointing at the object.

Last night on July 4th,2014 my 11 yo daughter was at the back door calling in her puppy when she saw a triangular shaped object with a red long light and three smaller white lights on each corner traveling low over our home from south to north. The object traveled over the field by our house and then disappeared. She came running into my bedroom to find me looking out the window towards the field due to feeling a strange energy and "wubbawubba" noise having passed over the house unlike a plane. The object had moved much faster than any plane or jet that would pass over our house headed to fort drum. We then noticed three red, yellow, and white lights in a triangular shape hovering over the east corner of the field. The lights seemed to be spinning and moving closer and further apart together at the same speed. Then a fourth light appeared to the west of the triangle of lights with similar appearance. The lights seemed to fade away into the sky after about 30 minutes. These were NOT fireworks!

During the 4th of July fireworks, we saw a bright yellow object move horizontally across the sky. Although we couldn't gauge the distance, we got the impression that it moved very quickly -- faster than a commercial jet. It stayed in the sky far too long to be a firework, and showed no signs of rising or falling, as fireworks normally do. We saw the object appear, then disappear, three times. Each time, it was visible for 5-10 minutes. We couldn't hear any sound from the object, although of course it was difficult to tell with the fireworks going off. The object did not appear to have any blinking lights of the kind that planes have. Three of the four witnesses report that the same object has been seen in three previous summers from this same location. On this particular instance, we also saw a translucent bubble shape moving across the sky, near the yellow light. That shape seemed closer, however, and it may have been associated with the fireworks.

My friend and I who live in Buffalo, NY, drove out to North Tonawanda on July 4th to stroll around the Gateway Harbor and view the fireworks. While we were waiting on the bridge for the fireworks to begin there were a number of individual fireworks being set off by various people. As we watched the sky we noticed distinct red circles coming from two separate areas one after another. One in particular turned very black against the night sky hovered for almost a minute and then vanished in front of our eyes. All of the others were red and glowing. They seemed to have a slight aura as they passed overhead. One stream of objects were coming from the north and the other were coming from the southwest. Although they were coming from different directions they were going towards the southeast. They passed over us before and during the firework display. Other people were commenting on them too. We have no explanation for them, they were silent, and there were several planes in the air that must have seen them.

I saw 4-5 yellow red orange object in the sky, I thought first it was plane or something, but they were too close to each other to be air plane, and they were to slow. it happened when my papa jones pizza delivery here, I asked the guy, is that air plane, he said I dont think so, I thought it was just some nature lighting reflections, so I joke with him said maybe its UFO, then later my girl friend went out, the lights still there in the sky, we didnt take a picture, because it was too small to cap in my phone, I live in oakland gardens NY state. At 12:10am on June 30th, 2014, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, my wife and I went out on our patio for a cigarette. I went out before her, lit my smoke and from the top of the stairs to our patio, my wife asked asked, “What are those? They aren’t planes.” I looked up to where she was pointing to the SSW. There were two orangish orbs that were flickering slightly. The first thought I had was that they were Chinese Lanterns. However, the hair on the back of my neck stood up as I realized that they were moving towards us and, far too fast to be any sort of lantern or balloon. The objects appeared to be at 2,000 - 3,000 feet in altitude, moving at 200-300 miles per hour. The two objects traveled silently and in apparent formation, perhaps 2,500 feet apart. They traveled at a constant rate and did not change bearing. As the objects approached, not quite overhead, but maybe offset by about 15-degrees from directly overhead, I noticed that the glowing, flickering orange nearly disappeared and I was able to observe the underside of the objects, which appeared round in shape with a dark center and a ring of somewhat dim, fuzzy light around it. The two objects disappeared behind our building. I considering running through the front of the apartment to see if I could observe the objects on the other side of the building. My wife ran inside to grab her camera. She returned just as a third orb appeared and followed a similar vector to the other two objects. Again, as the third object passed nearly overhead, I observed the same structure as the first two objects. My wife was able to get one very nondescript, streaked image with her camera but honestly, it doesn’t look like much. The entire incident lasted perhaps 30-40 seconds. After the three objects had passed, my wife and I were somewhat shaken and tried to make any sense of what we had just seen. They clearly were not any sort of aircraft or drone that I have seen (and I consider myself an aircraft aficionado along with being a drone and R/C aircraft pilot). The other thought I had were that perhaps they were some sort of debris entering the atmosphere and burning up, but that would not account for what appeared to be a level flight path. About a minute or so after this, a commercial aircraft crossed the flight path of the objects at a perpendicular angle, heading east. I have no idea if the pilot of that airliner, likely landing at JFK, was able to see what had just occurred, but I suppose we have no way of knowing. We checked the internet for any other reports of this incident and found nothing, which is astonishing considering it occurred over New York City. However, we found Nuforc and filed this report in hopes of anyone else coming out and reporting this.

Witnessed a very bright, ellipticle-shaped, yellowish/orange oval ball move quickly from left to right in a slight arc in the northern, clear sky. The streak/tail length was about a long city block, perhaps two considering wheere I was standing in front of my home. The stars were against the background sky canvas and in a clear sky. The speed was faster than an aircraft even from visual from ground distance. There was no cherry bombing or rockets sounds. It seems that it could have been about a 1-2 seconds and abruptly ceased.

Was sitting on my deck when myself and 3 others noticed 5 circular orange lights moving very slowing in the sky. The objects were at different heights. They looked to just sit in the same spot for awhile and we tried to take video footage with our cellphone. We got a few seconds on film before they just disappeared.

Looking outside my patio window, I noticed an orange reflection through the trees in our back lawn. I thought it was strange but figured it was someone using a light to fish in the pond beyond the trees, so I disregarded it. About a couple of minutes later my daughter came in the house from work and seemed excited about something. She said "dad, you have to come outside and see this." I asked her what she saw. She said, "there's something in the sky, and I don't know what it is." I went out and we moved across the lawn to where we could see above the trees. We observed 4 orange V-shaped objects in the sky moving NNW at a slow speed in a irregular formation. The fourth object seemed to be trailing the other three. At first I thought they may be helicopters, but there were no navigational lights on them. They were moving too slow for any aircraft I'd be familiar with, jet, prop, or rotor wing. They didn't change direction. We watched them until they disappeared. As a retired military officer, I'm very familiar with aircraft, both civilian and military. They were about 45 degrees from the horizon. Not knowing the altitude, it would be a difficult guess as to how large they were. I would estimate that they would be as large as a private jet. I would estimate speed of about 70-85 mph. The sky was clear, no clouds, no haze.

We were enjoying the fireworks ahead of us and I looked above me and noticed what appeared to be a drone at first and ignored it until I saw the incredible speeds that it was going from place to place with. Not many people noticed it, maybe 30 and it was ignored by most of them. Only my family and one other actually saw its capabilities that put it beyond a drone. It had one white center light along with one red, one yellow, one blue, and one green light on each side of the white light creating a "plus (+)" shape.
