Unknown object flying near by JFK airport. Approx 2 miles from the airport. The object glowed a blue color for about 2 minutes then vanished. It looks like it was flying north east.

As me and my buddies drove up main st. to work we noticed a bright blue object falling at a rapid speed. The light increased and I noticed a smoke trail behind it. The object seemed to be burning. I had my window rolled down and it flashed and made a very loud boom. Not sure what exactly this is.

It was to the southeast of me, just over a hilltop (appeared very far away). thought I was looking at jupiter, a star or a satellite, but noticed it appeared to be blinking and while it was predominantly orange/red in color, there appeared to be glimpses of green and white. After staring at it a while, I noticed that not only was it blinking/pulsing, but it was moving. At first it appeared to zigzag and then it appeared to be moving in small circles. I watched it for about ten minutes. Eventually it began to get dimmer and dimmer as it pulsed until I could no longer see it. I went back outside about twenty minutes later and noticed an object that looked the same to the southwest, but it appeared to be a lot closer (was about 3 times as big). While my view at this time was obscured by a maple tree (I was too scared to go onto the lawn and get a better view), I was able to see that it was definitely a aircraft of some sort. The pulsing/blinking lights were more distinct. It was continuing in the same odd zigzagging movements. Without knowing how far away it was, it's hard to say whether it was moving far or quickly. But the movements were barely noticeable at first. There was no sound.

Fireball looked like shooting star, except it "pulsed" on and off at a regular interval: ~3 seconds off, 1 second on. Traveled east at high altitude, stayed in area for 4 "pulses". Traveled in same direction for 3 pulses, then on 4th pulse we noticed it had turned 90 degrees and traveled south. Lost sight of object after that. I was driving my buddy home last night and we were traveling on state rt. 318 heading eastward. We happened to look up in the sky ahead of the car and we noticed what looked like an airplane on fire. As we drew closer to it, it appeared to be an orange glowing ball. I slowed down to about 20 mph and neither of us heard anything other than my car's engine and the sound of the tires on the road. It just seemed to hover over that spot and was about 200-300 yards up from the ground, which would've made it a very low-flying plane. No noise, no exhaust could be seen or heard. My buddy continued to look out the windows as we passed it. He explained to me that it looked like it was following us. He no sooner got that out of his mouth and then said that it had grown dim and then suddenly, it flashed out like a light switch. There were other cars on the road at the time, so I imagine others had to have seen this too!

Montauk, NY
I am a US citizen but reside currently most of the year in São Paulo, Brazil. My wife and I are in New York State visiting my family and have been vacationing several days by the beach in Montauk, NY, out near the tip of Long Island. This is a pretty clear and starry night so after the kids went to sleep we went out on the patio of the room we are renting and did some stargazing. At approximately 11:20pm or so (we did not look at the time so this estimate is give or take 5-10 mins.), just as we were turning to go inside my wife shouted for me to look. Looking to the SW we saw what appeared to be a bright orangish fireball rising slowly up into the sky. There was no sound from the object that we could detect although it seemed to be close, perhaps a couple of hundred yards away at the most. It then seemed to gain speed and ascend quite high into the atmosphere and began to head NE at what then seemed to be quite a high speed, as it disappeared from view in less than a minute. We were awestruck especially since it moved so fast and yet made no sound. Our room is at the ((name deleted)) Resort in Montauk, which is right on the beach. Our view from where we stood, looking in the direction of the location from which the object seemingly began to rise above the ground (or ocean?) was partially obscured by the building, to the extent that we did not catch view of the object until it had already (at first very slowly) risen to a height of what appeared to be 50 feet or more. At first we both wondered if it could be some kind of object on fire being carried up by a balloon, but this did not seem to be a possibility once the glowing light rose up very high and then began traveling away from us at what seemed to be a very high speed. Please note that I will not be available at the phone number provided below until Aug. 1, however I can be reached by email prior to that date. Thanks.

10:15 pm, southern sky, Cobleskill, NY. Saw what appeared to be a star on fire. Flames lasted between 15-25 seconds before stopping and star like shape went from bright to dull orange, almost disappearing, and it began to move very slowly at first to the east. As it moved (not erratically), it began picking up speed, and I saw what I first thought must be something on my eye, like one of those floaters’, but it was this thing that was moving. It looked like a wing, just one, not horizontal but vertical. It was shaped like a moths wing, flat along the lower (bottom?) and smaller and slightly rounded on the top. I could see the outline, but it looked opaque, and somehow it was illuminated, but not with any spot type lights. It was almost fiber optic like. It was also picking up a lot of speed by now (approximately 45 seconds to a minute in now) and heading east toward Duanesburg and Schoharie. I no longer noticed any particular point of light on it, just that it gave off a very low light. It didn’t seem to reflect it, and I could clearly see the outline. The light seemed to concentrate subtly within this wing like outline, but I can’t find the words to describe it. It almost seemed mist like, but defined. VERY FAST. No sound, and it disappeared from view, because of the trees in my yard.

On the way back from a place known in New York is Amish Country, driving along the highway known as Ridge Road, my wife and I spotted a red circle in the sky South the sun getting in position to set so I remember it was south there were no clouds in the sky blue background over Wide Open Fields and no trees my wife pulled the car over next to a house close to the road who happen to have the front door open it was summer time the house was full of people watching television someone noticed us outside and walked out I pointed out the object to the person and soon everyone was outside of the house all viewing the same red circle in the sky by this time 5 minutes had passed at least at the end of another 2 minutes the object who vanished without moving just disappeared the description of the object is followed red circle peers to be on fire white in the center and red on the outside the tapering in color is unlike anything I've ever seen even in rainbows it looks like camera flare with tapering colors from white in the center to read solid on the outside with fuzzy fire surrounding it. New York City (Queens), NY
looking in the direction of Manhattan from my roof in Sunnyside, Queens NY. I observed what at first looked like a bright star in the distance. However it was an overcast night and there were no other stars visible from that direction. The light from this object seemed to change in color from time to time. From white to orange and maybe even some green. My next thought it might be a helicopter hoovering over some part of Manhattan but I've lived in NY for over 20 years and never seen one hoover in the same place for so long. This light eventually began to move to the right as I looked at it. It also appeared to be moving downwards so I deducted that it was in fact moving away towards the north west. Eventually I stopped looking and so don't know what happened next.

Object moved from the North to the South above Oak Hill. It appeared to be on fire. The bright orange light appeared to grow in stature getting very bright red orange. I've never seen anything in the night sky this bright. As if an aircraft was on fire with flames. It moved along well above the hill in a Southerly direction, not altogether fast either. Then began to slow down, and came to a dead stop.......hovering for about 15 seconds. Still. The magnitude of brightness dimmed. Then the light just went out. I watched the night sky all my life, and can safely say, I have no logical explanation for what my wife, and I saw. We have corrected the date above. PD

My friends and I were coming home from a camping trip. As we were driving, I happened to notice an interesting air craft. It was blinking red and greenish lights, it had appeared to disappear quite quickly. For fear of my friends thinking I was crazy I kept it to myself. As we were pulling into the parking lot of our complexes, it had returned to my sight this time it was close and slow moving. My friends in the car happened to see it at that point it was quite large bit at this point was shining an led square shaped like light and hovered in one spot for a good min or so. Later that night, I went to Wegmans with a friend. As we were driving, I told her about what had just happened, and coincidentaly there it was. We followed it not about a half an hour we noticed that it was circling around Liverpool. It would make these sharp right turns that are physically impossible for a human made craft such as a plane. This experience is extremely life changing and to me it's a blessing to have seen something of this intelegance! I hope to see this craft again so I can possibly get a picture to share with you! My 13 year old son got up around 3 am to go to the bathroom and get a drink water, when he noticed how bright the moon was that night so he decided to look out at the moon and then he took pictures. The first several pictures the UFO wasn't in the picture and then it seem to just appeared. He said it just hovered there for about 15 minutes. He tried to wake me up but I'm a heavy sleeper and never woke up. The next day he told me about it and showed me the pictures. I had no idea what it was. Here are the order of the pictures he took with his iPhone 5c.

As my friend and I sat outside on a totally clear night we noticed a light through a distant tree line to the west. At first we thought it was a star low in the sky that we hadn’t noticed but quickly realized it was rising up from behind the tree line. As it cleared the trees we saw a very very large, very bright light almost shaped like a diamond that changed color from white to blue and then pink and purple. It rose steadily to an unknown altitude and then the light began to fade to a dull white but never completely went away. At this point it began to move directly toward us. We knew it wasn’t a plane as it had none of the regular blinking lights and we could see two planes in the sky to compare it to. I currently live just a few miles from an airport and see and hear planes up close at night on a regular basis and I have never seen any that looked like this. As it got closer we could clearly see one very large round dull white light on the bottom front and two more of the same but half the size next to each other behind the large one. Next to the smaller round lights were two super small dull white blinking lights. The object moved steadily toward us and directly overhead. It was difficult to tell the size shape or altitude but we could hear a very low hum sound as it passed overhead. The round lights were huge but not bright at all as we looked up at it. It moved over the house behind us and then was gone. I believe I have seen something similar when I was a teenager living on Cape Cod.

My daughter and I just finished watching a firework show on our front lawn when we got up to go in the house and this very fast moving red/orange light caught our eyes it was moving west to east along the south shore. Then it just disappeared into the night sky. 3 mins later another red/orange light appeared from the same location heading west to easy along the south shore but this one disappeared behind the tree line and I couldn't see it again. A plane came by shortly after they disappeared but it wasn't moving as fast as the balls of lights, definitely couldn't have been an airplane of any kind it was moving way to fast I've never seen anything that fast. My friend and I were standing in the street in East Islip, NY, at approximately 10:30 PM last night (July 5th)when he pointed over my head towards the Northern sky and said, Look at that! What the heck is that? I turned around to see what he was pointing at and saw what looked like a single, large orange glowing fireball traveling horizontally across the sky. We both are very familiar with the appearance of all types of air traffic at night, as he lives a few miles from McArthur Airport and I live right under the approach path for La Guardia Airport. We agreed that this was no aircraft that we had ever seen before. There were no blinking marker lights or any engine sound whatsoever. It appeared to be a ball of orange colored fire. Although we were unable to determine the object's exact altitude, I would estimate it to be around 2500 feet and, for it to travel the distance that it did in 2-3 minutes, it must have been traveling at a speed equal to or greater than large commercial aircraft that I have observed approaching JFK or La Guardia. The object continued to glow a bright orange and moved rapidly in an Easterly direction, growing smaller, until it disappeared from sight in a period of time of about 2-3 minutes.
