The report, as filed
looking in the direction of Manhattan from my roof in Sunnyside, Queens NY. I observed what at first looked like a bright star in the distance. However it was an overcast night and there were no other stars visible from that direction. The light from this object seemed to change in color from time to time. From white to orange and maybe even some green. My next thought it might be a helicopter hoovering over some part of Manhattan but I've lived in NY for over 20 years and never seen one hoover in the same place for so long. This light eventually began to move to the right as I looked at it. It also appeared to be moving downwards so I deducted that it was in fact moving away towards the north west. Eventually I stopped looking and so don't know what happened next.

I tend to look out my window every morning and notice these lights at a distance. La Guardia Airport is close so there is quite air traffic. However these lights were first 3 then 5, they managed to just stay hovering. You would think they were helicopters but no sound what so ever was made. I am not one to believe in strange being but this odd.

On balcony enjoying a beautiful night by the beach a bright light appeared from the north white and bright. Object shot left and disappeared in seconds, but not before it left a trail. Object returned in course of an hour 7 times.

Seen driving by JFK airport on the way to work. beautiful day, and no clouds in the sky. saw a bright light that looked like a star around 8:51am. it froze then slowly dropped south in slow motion, and took off and vanished to the left of my vision. then nothing. 3 VERY bright lights in sky, still. one would move away, then rejoin. Often a pair would be so close as to look as 1 light. Hovered over queens/atlantic yards area for at least 15 minutes. I saw from more the a mile away and the lights were VERY big and bright. Very still.

I took a look outside for fresh air, when I noticed two strange white lights circling the sky half faded and a storm looking like object a appeared right behind the lights. (( Witness elects to remain totally anonymous. We suspect an evening sighting, and have amended the time above. We wonder whether the lights might have been circling advertising lights. PD
