Estrella (west of Phoenix), AZ
At dusk, a group of lights appeared on the southern horizon. We were in the backyard on a mostly clear evening. We originally saw 13 lights, as time progressed, the lights began to disappear one by one, until they were gone (5 minutes). The lights initially appeared in two groups, one group of 11 and one group of 2. We stood at the same vantage point the morning after our sighting and verified that there were no distant mountains in the view nor other possible reasons for lights to appear at that location. We have lived at this location for close to two years, and have never seen a similar grouping of lights. We have 5 pictures from two different cameras that show a couple of different light combinations. Unfortunately, when I went to get a third camera with an even more powerful zoom capability, the lights had disappeared.

Time of sighting: 6:38pm mountain time Duration of sighting: Six Minutes Location: South Mountain Look Out nearest Radio/TV – Gila Valley Look Out My girlfriend and I drove to the top of the mountain to view the sunset as it almost completely dropped behind the mountains due west. The temperature had dropped down to 71 degrees and the wind was blowing east by southeast 10mph (you can hear it in the footage). As my girlfriend and I were turning towards our car she stopped and pointed. I turned and looked to find four lights hovering past or behind the Estrella Mountains level with the mountain tops, in front of the visible cloud streaks to the southwest. They were reddish, amber, gold color. At first, I thought they were typical airline traffic approaching due east to land at Sky Harbor International Airport. But these lights hovered—almost flickering—maintaining their position. We could not determine if they were balls of fire, or that the space between us and the objects seemed to flicker because of the atmospheric particles between us and the lights. Then, to the left, a reverse C crescent formation of seven lights a! ppeared roughly two minutes later. Then, a single light appeared below the crescent—that is when my girlfriend began recording. At this point there were 11 visible glowing objects. One minute into the video, you will see the camera pan left where another light formed and immediately to the left of that light, two comet-like streaks passed to the left—they were visible for 10 seconds before they faded out. The remaining lights stayed in position—unaffected by the present wind--keeping formation, for another two minutes before fading away. The first four lights appeared for four minutes. The crescent group of seven appeared for 4 minutes and the two streaks lasted 10 seconds. We held our position for five minutes after the lights disappeared. No lights appeared thereafter. Maricopa, AZ
Friday Feb 19, 2016, approx 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, I was driving from Chandler, Arizona, to our home in Maricopa, Arizona, on Hwy 347. I was heading south. In the South West sky, I saw a group of lights very uniform in the shape of a rectangle. It looked like several lights side by side and about the same amount of lights in several rows below it forming a rectangle. It began with one rectangle and swooped of off to the left and then turned into a second one. Both remained in the sky for a couple of minutes and then the first one faded away. The second one remained for a few minutes and then also faded away. It never dropped as if they were flares. It remained at the same altitude for about 10 minutes or so. It did not move. It seemed way too high in the sky to be flares or balloons. I saw several cars pull over to the side which I presume to watch the same thing.

Friday Feb 19, 2016, approx 6:30 PM to 7: PM The evening of Feb. 19, 2016, my husband and I were traveling on hwy 347 to Maricopa, Az…….about 8 miles out of Maricopa, my husband pointed in the sky and told me to look in the southwesterly direction. In my view was two large clusters of whitish/yellowish light……they appeared to be in a formation of several rows of lights…….I watched this for approx. 5 minutes, then the cluster on the right disappeared, it did not fade away, it just went out…….within seconds a streak of light appeared higher and more to the south, this streak was a solid formation and appeared to have a pinkish color and stayed there but began to fade quickly……..the larger of the clusters was still in the sky and we continued to watch for another 5 minutes then it disappeared as the first cluster….did not fade, just went out. I would approximate the altitude of the clusters was 2–3 thousand feet, if brought down and laid on the ground the size was 5 or 6 miles across and 3–4 miles high, I saw ! nothing fall from the sky…….the clusters did not move……the light seemed to twinkle a bit but there was not a glowing affect.

Chandler, AZ
From Apache Junction, two clusters of bright orange lights could be seen approximately over the Chandler area. One was higher than the other, and the lower was about level with the mountain. The objects appeared square in nature, though the lights shimmered in a random fashion. Soon after spotting them initially, the lower faded away, and minutes later the other one did the same. They faded away slowly, as if they were turned off. An image was captured, though low in quality, it clearly shows multiple sources of the same orange light.

I observed and pointed out two strange orange lights to my partner, while driving west on interstate 8. They were hovering very still in the direction of the Mexican border, southwest of us. While watching for several minutes, we saw a white explosion/light coming from the ground below the orange lights, then what looked like a bright fireball between the two orange lights, then one more white flash from the ground, before the two orange lights disappeared one by one. Then after about 15 minutes of driving, we saw a set of four other orange lights in the sky appear one by one. We watched these lights for about 20+ min, before they, too, disappeared one by one. The last set of four lights seemed to be in a formation, three in the back one in the front

Casa Grande (near), AZ
On Coast to Coast Am just now, Peter Davenport said reports of lights near Phoenix area were reported, and may be flares from nearby military test range. I have seen very bright pairs of white lights 2 nights this past week, on 2/16 & 2/17. I am a truck driver and regularly drive between Tucson & Phoenix on my graveyard shift. This took me driving west on I-10 between 9:30pm & 10:30pm on both those nights. On the 16th, I looked to my left around the McCartney Rd exit near Casa Grande, AZ, to see 2 very bright white lights. As I have seen strange things in the night skies many times, I looked to see if there were any blinking lights to show they were aircraft, and I saw none. I looked again maybe 20 seconds later and one of the lights was gone. After this I payed close attention to the remaining bright light for 3 or 4 more minutes and saw it quickly fade away to dim then gone. I assumed this was a flare from test range beyond the mountains in the direction I was looking. The next evening, around the same time, I again saw 2 bright lights next to each other in the sky around the same area of I-10. Curiosity had me pay greater attention to both then the previous night. After maybe 5 or 6 minutes, I again saw one dim then quickly go out, but maybe 20 seconds later flared back bright again for maybe 10 seconds, the instantly out again, and within 2 to 3 seconds, the 2nd light disappeared almost instantly. These again, I assumed were military flares, which is why I did not report them to you here. I am only now doing so, as it was mentioned on C2C. Your reports may have come from Phoenix, in which case they would be reported to south, instead of west, of Casa Grande. Feel free to contact me if any questions or clarification is needed.

Observed what appeared to be a planet or star in the eastern sky at about 45 degrees above the horizon. At first it seemed stationary, but after observing it for over an hour, it seemed to slowly move to the southeast. The moon was out too, but the object's movement did not follow the arc of the moon. It seemed to grow more distant over time, and eventually became unobservable. I called it to the attention of my friend who was visiting from out of town. We were both astonished by it. It did not flicker, but was a steady white orb for the duration of the observation.

Paradise Valley, AZ
Second night in a row. Two amber lights, hovering in absolute fixed position over Paradise Valley -- the northern neighborhoods of Scottsdale. Bright, faintly flickering, staying absolutely fixed in position over the neighborhood. I asked a fellow-student to come from the drafting studio and have a look. He saw the lights as well. Having watched the lights the night before for twenty minutes I predicted that the second light, the one that appeared to be a little closer to us, would blink out in a minute or two, followed by the first light about a minute later. We speculated what it might be, pointing out how it couldn't be an airplane and was really bright for a drone (and the color would be hard to make, being that drones presently shine LED lights) and other theories. Then the lights did just as I predicted. My friend asked how I knew it would do that, I said that it did the same thing last night. Watched for their return for an hour. Nothing. Will watch tomorrow night, camera ready. If they stay up there long enough, we'll chase them down with a car, get pictures under them. This area has a long history with these lights. They are back. We'll try getting shots of them.

Amber light flickered into bright position, remaining positioned rigidly over North Scottsdale (Paradise Valley), occasionally flickering out, then returning, and sometimes joined by identical amber light close by at approximately same altitude, neither light moving. Light faded, then repeatedly returned over twenty minute period. May have been farther off, perhaps over Phoenix, but from hillside position, appeared between Camelback Mountain and McDowell Mountains, over neighborhood.

My husband and I were driving home from Phoenix arizona to Prescott arizona and on the way back home we saw this red light floating across the sky and it would be real close then out of no where be far away and so on so forth we thought it was a plane at first then we got into Prescott and dodny see it any longer and then as we were pulling on to our street to pull into our ally there was that red flashing light again just hovering over our house and I yelled to my husband babe there is that light again and as I started to drive again after stoping it started to move and change colors red then green then blue and the close we got to our house the more it moved away so we hawled ass to our car port and saw it up close it was the shape of a donut, a circle shape with a whole in the middle of it, like a donut real thick and tall about the size of a car from 300 yards away and the under neath had 6-10 cirle lights and when we stoped to get out of the car it vani! shed in thin air how idk how but it was way to big to be a drone and to low to be a plane or helicopter and it made no noise we live where there is mountains behind us and trees and it was no where to be found when we got out of the car I have never ever seen something so crazy in my life it was a game changer.

Looked like orange flares but appeared to move around. I would have to guess about 10 to 12 of them. It was hard to tell because i was trying to drive. Easy to see in the night sky.

About 7:30 pm, I was taking groceries from my car into my home, when I looked south into the sky and saw two large (as compared to commercial jet or helicopter) red-orange colored spheres. They were moving across the sky, west to east, but very slowly. I could see no lights, typical to any aircraft flying at night, and I strained to hear any kind of aircraft noise and could not. I watched them travel east and then sort of disappear or fizzle out. I continued with my groceries and then noticed two more of the same. A few minutes later, two more and then two more came more quickly. All had the same characteristics and moved slowly, almost as if floating across the sky. Just before the final four spheres crossed, another small aircraft came into the space from a more northwest direction. However, the path of this plane took it right next to these spheres, so it had to have seen them as it passed two of them. The final four spheres also traveled slowly to the east before fizzling out. I thought maybe our Air Force base was doing some new kind of craft experiment or they were weather balloons. The only different thing was that at the end, I believe I could see tiny lights around the spheres, very tiny, almost like diamonds or little stars, but they were moving, too. I emailed neighbors to see if anyone else saw what I did and one couple replied that they did. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Observed a white orb moving from east to west about maybe 200 ft above the catalina mountain range which is northeast of Tucson, AZ. The time was about 18:40 and the orb was moving in an erratic way along the top of the mountain range. I observed the orb for about a minute, before it descended behind the mountain {northside} and was never seen again.

I saw a blimp shape craft behind the clouds pulsating a irregular patter in a band across on side of the craft. The craft was cruzing at low altitudes the whether was extremely stormy and it just stopped raining. The craft was coasting slow like a blimp does, but then increased to jet speeds in a matter of seconds. The pulsating light stopped and the craft gave off a final flash and was gone. I was draving when I saw the craft. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Phoenix (Fort McDowell), AZ
On Jan. 28th, 2016 at approx. 7:30 P.M.. I was traveling northbound on Hwy 87, just past Fort McDowell Casino and I spotted 4 lights in a row, as I was looking northwest. These lights were bright white in front and flashing red lights from side to rear. After I passed and looked back they were no longer visible, however there were several more ahead of me. While driving, I noticed several vehicles pulled over and people standing on the side of the road staring at the objects which drew my curiosity to watch these lights closer. At first, I assumed they were planes but as I got closer I noticed that the lights seem to break off and stretched for miles of approx. 12-15 bright lights in a straight line. Roughly 200 ft. west of Hwy 87 and approx. 500 feet above ground. I didn’t become suspicious until about the 6th light that I passed, I then pulled over about a mile before Bush Hwy exit and got out of vehicle, it was very quiet, no sound and objects remained very still, hovering. I tried to capture a picture but it only looked like a bright dot (crappy cell phone camera). After approx. 5 minutes of watching these objects remain motionless, thoughts began to run through my head, as I was trying to rationalize what these were, drones, planes, or military crafts etc. My only logical conclusion was UFO’s which prompted me to get back into the vehicle and drive away, heading northbound on highway 87. While driving past the Sugar-loaf/4 Peaks turn off, I spotted several other lights hovering east and west of the highway. There was 2 remaining lights in front of me. After I passed the second light, I didn’t see any more and that concludes my sighting.

I was moving some things outside when I looked to the western sky and noticed 3 bright red lights ascending into the sky from the horizon when the lead light went out about 80* overhead. Followed by the remaining 2 going out at lower heights. Then a few seconds later 2 more rose from the horizon to blink out a little lower down, followed by a 6th light that blinked out a little closer to the horizon.

Buckeye, AZ
Driving in Buckeye, AZ, going south, I saw to my right off in the distance 2 large amber lights, flickering midway up in the sky. At first, I thought they might have been flares, so I kept looking at them as I was driving. I was heading home which is further out on the southern edge of Buckeye. It took me approx. 10 minutes to get to my street and the lights were still hanging in the sky. I decided to drive down a country road in that direction to see them better. I thought I could get closer to them, however after driving a few more miles it seemed I wasn't getting any closer so they must've been further away than I thought. They were fading in & out and re-appearing either in the same spot as they disappeared in or they re-appeared in a different spot. At one point I saw a couple of small lights develop out of one of the bigger ones and hung at the same altitude horizontally from the bigger one and then faded out. They kind of reminded me of Christmas lights blinking but more randomly. Sometimes they would all disappear and then return. I did observe one of them very close to the ground. Interesting to note, before I became aware of these strange lights. I saw 2 military jets make a huge U turn around Buckeye flying over the area where I saw the lights, then the jets made a U turn and headed back towards the direction of the AF base. I thought that was rather odd as they usually head in the direction of Yuma, AZ, where there is another base. A coincidence or not? I don't know. I've seen 2 lights in the sky just like that flying back in 2013 coming from the northwest in Buckeye. No noise from them, no other lights except the amber color. One flew towards the Luke AFB and the other went straight east towards Phoenix. They disappeared as they went past me as the amber light appeared to be on the front of the craft and no other lights were on or flashing which was weird in and of itself. It was flying pretty low, about at the height of what a helicopter would fly. At that time in 2013, a UFO skywatcher I knew had reported 2 amber lights in the sky in Fresno, CA, at around the same time I had seen them and he stated they were heading in the same direction as I saw them coming from.
