I noticed from my work window a white object.. It was oval/egg shaped moving very smooth at a decent speed coming from the north, then changing to a southeast direction near Reed Rd SE. It was in a steady pace, very smooth motion, never going up or down or erractic. Very calm like, watched it till it disappeared past clouds into the distance. The lighted oval was "Misty" around the edges like a moon on a cloudy night. It traveled quickly from the South East over the top of our home as it descended and disappeared into the ocean about a mile or so off shore to the West. It had no tail and was to low to the ground to be a shooting star.

As we come closer we are able to see the metal around the circular light. Note this light is not a beam. There were approximately 3 smaller lights surrounding the center one. As we drove past it, it hovered and then sped about 100 mph north in the opposite direction we were traveling.

I took a picture for proof. As soon as I did two of them took off to the west. The third which was trailing behind also turned to the west. There was no sound at all. Can you explain this?

Approx. six to seven red dots (not flashing) in a row equally spaced. Moving at a high rate of speed with no sound heading North bound. The red dots were not super bright but way to fast to be a plane/no navigational flashing lights again, no sound. Not sure what to think??? This was not normal by any means... Am a ((deleted--fifties)) year old male/Veteran/who FIRMLY believes there is something else.

Our little town had a small firework display for New Years. After we left the fireworks, we dropped our friends off at their house. Before we got back into our car, we noticed a huge orange ball of light above the tree line (trees they were above were about 80 feet or so). One ball of light was moving and hovering in a figure 8 type of motion. Then it was joined by another. They continued to move and hover together. Suddenly the first one split into two balls of light, one smaller than the other and they both headed west, one went on a downward motion below the tree line and the other went in a straight line west out of site very quickly. There was one ball of light left at that point and it continued hovering and suddenly it went west in a fast upward motion and continued on out of site. My wife and I were sober and amazed. We can't figure out what this could have been. We kept watching the sky out further were one disappeared and we can see two tiny white lights moving much further out. We have no photos and there were no visible fireworks continuing.

Went outside with my boyfriend on New Year's Eve at around 12:55PM to light some fireworks to celebrate the new year. While picking up the firework remnants, I noticed my boyfriend was staring up at the sky. There were fireworks, but when they stopped, four slow moving orange-ish orbs moving from east to west traveled across the sky. There were no flashing lights like a normal plane, and seeing fireworks just moments before, it was VERY clear these were not fireworks of any kind. We watched them for quite a while and they did not dissipate-- they simply traveled until they were out of view. For the most part they seemed spherical in nature, but if you focused closely they did appear to have some elongated part on the front. A man down the path we were on also noticed them. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) My name is ((deleted)). I submitted a sighting about 10 minutes ago. I made an error in the submission--the number of witnesses was 3, and the duration of time was 7 minutes--not the other way around. Sorry for the error! I was driving at 3 PM when I saw what looked like a white balloon in the sky. It was a clear blue sky, and I wrote it off as someone releasing a balloon after a birthday party, or something like that. However, the object was interesting to look at, and so I kept staring. I had no obstructions to my vision. Five seconds after I saw the object, a blue light started to grow, about twice or three times as big as a planet or large star in the night sky. The balloon shape was growing smaller as the light was getting brighter. The blue light got brightest two seconds after the light began to glow, and then the light started to grow smaller and less intense, as if attached to an object that was traveling away from me, and two seconds later, it was gone. Who am I? I am a Russian major at a college in the Midwest. I have believed in UFOs, but never thought I would see one. I am incredibly curious as to what it was. We spoke via telephone on two occasions, and we found her to be exceptionally eloquent and sober-minded. We suspect that she is highly reliable, and an excellent witness. PD

At 10 pm and still going at 3:23 am in se portland towards eastern sky two bright white lights that look somewhat like a plane or helicopter but stays in one spot with a spinning ring of colores red green white and blue lights around it. One really bright one and about 9-15 or so smaller ones hovering around it. Some of them lined up in a row. I thought at first the airport was backed up and there were planes waiting in the sky to land. However not the case these move very fast like they disappear and then reappear in a different spot. Some of them seemed to be closer then others. There are quit a few. Stars?? PD

I was walking back from my niece's house back to my sisters house. When I looked up at the clear night, I saw what I thought appeared to be an UFO. I looked around and saw more, anywhere from 7 to 15 craft. It looked like an airplane but was not moving. There were red, green, blue lights around a white ball in the middle. There were lots of stars around the UFO, which is what drew my attention to it in the first place. It just stayed in one spot. I kept going outside and checking on it for the next 5 hours. At around 12:30 pm, it was gone. The smaller ones were gone also. Observers were a female age 45 and her nephew age 25.

While driving SE on Orient Drive, SE of Orient, OR, I saw a stationary, vertical object off to my right, which was illuminated by the setting sun. The object was about 10 or 15 degrees above the horizon. Its height was nearly the same visual size as the visual diameter of the moon (~0.5 degrees). I continued driving for some distance along Orient Drive watching the object and looking for a place to park. I turned onto SE 312th and parked near Hwy 26. I watched the object, which was SW of my position, for several minutes. The better view that I now had showed the object to have the appearance of a vertical cylinder. It was drifting extremely slowly to the south and began to separate into two cylinders one above the other, each with the proportions of a soup can. The upper cylinder began leading the lower as they moved southward, but they never completely separated. After watching the object for several minutes, I decided to drive through Boring, OR, to try to get a closer look. I kept looking at it, as I drove, but then I lost sight of it before reaching Boring and never saw it again. I returned to my prior vantage point, but it was gone. Since the object was in my view for the better part of a mile or more, it had to have been at least three or four miles distant and, given that distance, I would estimate the diameter of the cylinders to be 30 feet or more--perhaps much more. I cannot venture a good guess as to what the object was. I have seen large tethered balloons used to call attention to sales, grand openings, etc. But unlike tethered balloons this object was moving, albeit slowly, and I saw no other indication of such an event taking place. I work seasonally as a biologist or a biological science technician. My observational skills have to be very good for me to do my job.

So i closed my blurry eye n this object kept moving n displaying an incredible light show. It wuz so peaceful... It appeared to throw off glitter like or pixie like dust to the shape it took n it would slowly dim off b4 doin it over n over... Amazing... I called my gf to come out n see it, so i know i wuznt the only one seeing it. Then it slowly took itz time getting higher n further away til it wuz not visible... My wife and I both saw fairly large and bright 5 circular orange glowing objects within a span of 5 minutes moving fairly fast and moving south to north approx 1 minute apart each. We have video and pics of the objects over head on a mostly clear cold night with some clouds at approx 5,000 feet overhead.

I opened my front door which faces west and a pulsating light in the southwestern sky caught my attention. It changed from white to orange to green to blue at the same time; I know that sounds weird. I stood and watched it for about ten minutes when a second one appeared above the first one, both pulsating the same colors. Saw orb bright white circle hovering then shot up straight fast fast then darted sideways unlike any craft or drone ive ever seen... Then approx 1 minute later i saw 2 Airforce jets with red lights dart super fast toward the general area. ufo traveled way faster was gone in a few seconds. amazing!! For some reason, witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

The other 2 were flying at the same height as the bottom two on he trianle just south. I saw them for almost 5 minutes, went inside for about 30 seconds and they were gone when I came back out.

Was sitting with my husband in our backyard. At first I thought it was an airplane flying towards the Portland airport. I don’t have good vision. I had my glasses on, but I'm near sighted, so all I saw at first was a large white light with small yellow and blue lights, and just thought it was an airplane. Then the little lights changed to yellow and purple, then back to blue and yellow a few times. Then it took a 90 degree turn quite quickly and turned completely red while doing so. At this point I thought maybe it was a drone or a military aircraft. My husband got up and turned around to look at this time. There was no sound except sort of a high pitched pulsing sound. My husband described it later as kind of like air moving? He heard it low pitched, I heard it high pitched. Sort of like a “waow waow waow”. We both kind of felt the sound too, like a wave. It kept moving on it’s new path, then took another 90 degree turn and suddenly sped up towards the horizon and disappeared over the roof of the house we were next to. It was sort of diamond or hexagon shaped with a flat bottom I think. It was parallel to the horizon the whole time. It could very well has just been a drone someone was flying around, but whatever it was it was weird.

As we walked north on Milwaukie Avenue, in front of the Aladdin Theatre, a fireball streaked across the sky about 100 feet about the city lights. We had trouble deciding how high up in the sky the ball was and how big it was, but it snuffed out with in our view. Possible meteor? PD

We spotted a bright light as we got onto our exit (216) and noticed a bright white light getting brighter (Like headlights) and closer going South and stopped our car to observe. It went over us and curved East. There were orange/red lights on the bottom and on the back and we noted it had a triangular shape. It was moving too fast and low to be an airplane with no blinking lights but too slow to be a meteor. It seemed to zig-zag as it flew away and disappeared in the distance.

They moved at a rapid speed! Using maneuvers not capable or known to mans air crafts! They 3 lights faded out toward the west. Really stunning and shocking lights, not very bright white lights really dim!
