Was heading down the interstate from Salem to Luka and saw what I thought was a purple star in the distance. I pointed it out to my friend and we realized we were getting closer to it. It wasn't a plane, it wasn't moving at all. We passed it a little to the left and we saw it had flashing red green and purple lights. Don't know what it was but it wasn't moving at all.

There is a half moon, I believe tonight, as I was walking out my apartment I look up and saw white blue ish circle fly past my partment and disappear. I have seen planes land near a home I used to live in so I know it was close enough to land but it was moving so fast and it looked as if it was leaving not coming down. I only saw it for a second. It was twice as big as the north star. I looked at one of my neighbors who was smoking a cigar outside and asked if he saw it and said yes and so did a neighbor walking his dog, said the bark had its tail behind its legs and wimping. I have seen a meteor and that was not one. The strange thing was, there was no sound and it was close enough to make a sound....blue ish white like those new style headlights some high end vehicles have. South bound. Bigger than a star. Must have traveled about a 35 degree angle on the sky. Don't know my distances sorry. Oh and no sound.

As I stepped out for a cigarette, I noticed a curiously bright "fireball" like object ascending vertically in the air about 300 yards away. The "fireball" then smoothly changed its trajectory into more of a horizontal course. This struck me as particularly odd because of the light intensity, (vibrant, bright, and pulsing red/orange/yellow light) the trajectory, (flawlessly executed and smooth) and location (it ascended from a woodsy cornfield area). There was no police and/or medical unit activity reported during that time. It was absolutely beautiful, but very odd at the same time. There wasn't any sign of smoke, burning debris, or exhaust. The object didn't emit a sound and was completely silent.

This was a mass sighting in downtown Chicago of all places. It went viral on Facebook almost immediately. Some crafts were seen flying close to the ground in downtown Chicago. Pictures were taken and possibly video as well. What makes this especially unique is that parts of Chicago were cordoned off with roadblocks/traffic diversions. The police, FBI, and military were there coordinating efforts as these objects were chased by planes and helicopters around the sky. The areas initially involved also became permeated with men in black suits who were seen talking to the feds and were walking around everywhere. Then the police decided to tell everyone that it was just lightening which nobody could possibly believe. Thousands of people on Facebook took to massive threads. Some of the pictures posted disappeared from FB but some were saved by others (Some of which are friends of mine) before hand. I don't know if this was on local news but it should have been. The local police/feds/military response was unprecedented. This is not a hoax. I believe the objects were orb-like. The pics I saw were of three lights in a triangular shape, though I could not determine if they were a result of one craft or three. I would have to go back and sift through a massive amount of posts to get more details on the craft(s) and will do so if contacted. Please only release my first name. This is a second-hand report from a person who learned of the alleged event from friends in Chicago. We have corrected the date and time above, and have requested that the second-hand source contact his friends in Chicago, who were actual eye-witnesses, to have them submit reports of what they witnessed. Nobody actually saw anything flying. They closed off River Road at Belmont and at Irving Park but you could see a long silver object stretching across all four lanes and into the woods in the river. There had been a fatal car accident earlier at the same location so everybody figured it was just that. That was until we seen military vehicles, FBI agents turning everyone away that would try to go look and Homeland security. We also saw several military choppers circling the area for hours. I posted this on a Facebook group that I am in Chicagoland petrol heads and car spotters. We had several members take action and go try to get any evidence at the scene. One member got there when it was clearing up and says he saw a wide load semi driving away with something underneath a tarp. The semi was escorted by 4 unmarked trucks answer the 294 ramp at Irving Park towards Great Lakes Naval base. Several members trying to go to the scene including myself for any signs of damage or debris but it was raining so hard that we couldn't really see anything. Hours later I can still see a military chopper circling around from my house about 1 mile east. We called Fox news and ABC and they would not comment or report on the incident. There have been no announcments about what happend that night. Even local police say they dont know they where just called to set up the perimeter .

I spotted, then observed the large bright light for 40 minutes before going back to bed. I selected "oval" from the drop-down, but its outline was more precisely shaped like the number 8, but with the top circle slightly into the bottom circle, and solid white light. It was motionless, did not flash or change color, but did slightly dim on occasion, as if being covered shortly by clouds. It was at least twice the size and brightness of Venus (when its at its brightest in the summer, but nowhere close to where Venus is actually located in our sky.) It was directly east from us, located about 40 degrees from the horizon from my perspective. There are stars in that region of sky and airplanes flying way off in the distance (toward Lake Michigan and IN), but this was not either of those or a meteor (40 minute observation) and huge in comparison. I did get the impression it was quite a distance eastward and at a substantial high altitude, but I had! no reference point to be certain about those aspects. I know the normal sky geography in that region well... I walk my dog every night between 9:30 and 11;00 PM and look out my kitchen window in that direction often several times a night between midnight and 5:00 AM. Whatever this was, it should not have been there, was not seen days before my sighting and nothing now several days after, extremely extraordinary and not even remotely similar to anything seen in that region of sky or anywhere else! I have no way of knowing if it could have been from this planet or not, but I can absolutely attest to the fact that it was there, and it wasn't a natural object. Even at that time of night I'd bet other people also saw it, as it was that obvious.

Me and my boyfriend were sitting outside, just like we do every night. I had already witnessed the same white dim light moving extremely slow at about 95°, only this time there were 3. Seconds later as usual it just disappeared. Moves much slower than a meteor. About 25 mins later a craft flew above our heads, was very quiet didn't move like an airplane or have same blinking lights as a typical one, was shaped differently too. Seemed almost to stop at times. We assumed it was a drone as it moved to the South. I then noticed a faint red light and as I pointed it out to my boyfriend, we noticed them light up all over the SE sky. They were zig zagged in flight path and a few of them were so close together at times it was unreal, they seemed to just be flying all around, stayed in same position of sky for a few minutes! We counted approximately 7 of the red lights (which would blink white so often). All the sudden they split up and went different directions dis! appearing as fast as they appeared. About 15 -20 seconds later 2 airplanes, I believe, Criss-crossed over us from opposite directions. One from SW and one from NE. I was driving southbound on Towanda Ave, over the railroad bridge off of Ft. Jesse Rd. my son and I witnessed 7 black objects flying in formation about 1000 ft off the ground. They were flying from northwest to south east in a rapid manner. At first, I thought they were Chinook helicopters as they routinely fly over head. However, being a 16 year vet of the Army, I've never seen Chinooks fly that fast and never in that close of formation. Also, the profile seemed skinnier than that of a Chinook. I heard no noise as is typical with Chinooks even at the distance, about a mile out, from my position. It could be drilling aviation unit, but I'm not certain that it was.

Witness 1 Three orange orbs were spotted in a triangular formation by three witnesses at 1054 pm in Cicero, Illinois. The orbs moved north across the sky at high speeds and seemed to turn, in unison to head east then slowly faded into the distance. They were similar to the altitude of commercial aircraft. Witness 2 Reports a triangle shaped air craft flying north overhead. I can describe the flying formation as similar to birds flying together in a triangle. They also looked similar to birds. I believe the object was either reflecting light or emiting it. Three dim lit UFO(s) flew together one leading the two space crafts behind along the two sides. I recall the three objects rotating in a unison pattern. They did move together to change direction in the sky from north to east slightly in the sky. 10:45 PM CST

On my 3rd floor patio looking out north east saw ufo it was moving slow due there is a lot of airplane in area I looked more closer this isn't my first time seeing a ufo so I keeped looking then it stopped it was spinning and its light got brighter when it did so moved very slow stopped for about 30 minutes the spinning again moved more then it disappeared. I was sitting in my living room at approximately 11:25pm on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015. Then through one of my living room windows, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a small cluster of green lights in the sky. They were roughly 1000 feet in the air, and approximately 1-2 miles north of my house. As soon as I directed my attention to the object, it moved towards my house but out of my viewing range. I then walked to the north window of my living room, and looked up and the object had moved to about 2-3 blocks away from my house, maintaining its same altitude. I attempted to call a couple of my friends about it as I was quite afraid, but I had no cellphone signal whatsoever. I checked out the window repeatedly for the object and it remained hovering around the same position for approximately 10-15 minutes before disappearing. I did not see it vanish, but as soon as it was gone I had cellphone signal again. No one else in my area reported anything

At approximately 9:06 last night 9/6/2015, our group of 9 people were looking west over our lake and saw a bright orange/red colored oval moving from south to north. There was no sound and moved in a straight deliberate line. No sound. We watched it until we could no longer see it in the north sky. It was not a lantern. In addition, we saw the same thing on the 4th of July but did not report it. Our group that night was 7 people.

I didn't know where to report this but I just say a bright orange globe, about 7-8 feet in length, go across the sky from south to North, traveling 3-5 miles a secondand then slowed down and stopped in front of a church in the middle of this park area in Swansea, IL. When it was in front of the church to the left side of me about 100 yards away, the orange glow it had been letting off vanished, but I could see the black dark sphere hovering about 10 feet from the ground. I was driving in my car about 20 mph through the park at this time. But as it was in front of the church on the side of me I got some crazy chills, didn't bother looking again at it, and drove faster down the road. Faster than the speed limit at that point. This all happened between 8:28pm- 8:35pm CT 9/6/2015

I was in a room of my house that has a skylight which gives a view of the Eastern sky located directly above my home. I was peering out the skylight when a very bright ORANGE light/orb drifted across my field of view. It appeared to be traveling at the same height and speed that a small, single-engine Cessna would usually cruise. It had no traditional blinking red, green, or white lights. It was a solid, non-flickering orange light/orb traveling almost exactly at a Northwest heading (coming from the Southeast). My best judgement is that it would've flown on a diagonal vector directly over Briargate Elementary School. Once it escaped my field-of-view, I ran to another window, this time on the Western side, to try and find it. There were a few trees obstructing my view and I had no luck relocating it. I listened for any engine or propeller noises and could not hear any. At the same time, for the heck of it, I scanned the entire Western horizon and did see what appeared to be a very faint, distant orange light. However, at that distance, I can not: A) say for sure that this was the same light that I saw before nor B) categorize it as something unusual. O'Hare Airport, Lake In The Hills Airport (small aircraft), and a Flight For Life helipad are not that far from my home. I am a pretty big aviation enthusiast as well. Needless to say, I feel I have a pretty good handle on what normal air traffic looks like in my area. This was definitely something unusual. I have never seen anything like this before, not just near my home but anywhere. I did some online research and found the following could explain what I saw: 1) Satellite - I'm not too sure about this. Again, the light was very bright and pretty close to the ground. 2) A nearby planet - Same with above, the light was very bright, too close to the ground, and moving too quickly. 3) Chinese lantern - This has some merit. The orange color could explain it. However, it was moving faster than Chinese lanterns travel and there was no flickering/glimmering to the light source. While walking I heard a loud airplane noise and looked up and saw one small round object in the sky. I leaned forward and saw that this object was being followed by 6 round small objects--5 below it and one above it to the left. I have never seen anything like it before. They appeared to be silver metal looking objects and were fairly high up.

Went out for a smoke and saw bright reddish orange light in sky heading south, then it turned west without slowing down. Moved very erratically. No sound at all. Disappeared behind the trees. Saw similar some time back in the north east sky, again traveling erratically, bright red light went off for short time then reappeared, for a short time. Could these be drones??

Red fireball shaped objects observed 2 weeks ago. 1st object came from the southeast flying slowly west. Once that one went overhead, another came from the same direction, moments later. And after about 15 seconds, the fireball shaped object split into 2, and flew overhead. After 10 seconds another appeared from the same direction. This event happened at approximately 10 pm. Last night while standing on my porch I saw another fireball like object fly overhead. These were NOT airplanes!

Approx 30secs after it left my view due to trees the exact same thing happened again. 30 secs later another one. The 4th object had a solid red light, but moved just as slow. About 1 min after red light left my view it was back to dim white flashing light, and 1 min later, I saw the last same white flashing light.
