The report, as filed
At approximately 9:06 last night 9/6/2015, our group of 9 people were looking west over our lake and saw a bright orange/red colored oval moving from south to north. There was no sound and moved in a straight deliberate line. No sound. We watched it until we could no longer see it in the north sky. It was not a lantern. In addition, we saw the same thing on the 4th of July but did not report it. Our group that night was 7 people.

The craft moved slowly eastward as it changed brightness every few seconds then an airliner appeared under it in the sky and it disappeared. Possibly a lone satellite not starlink I looked at it using 15 power binoculars [NUFORC annotation: Satellite - Possible]
