This is interesting because it sounds like what we saw was seen in southwestern CT a few days later – in the daylight (see other posts). We were camping in our rented RV in Organ Pipe National Park, in southern Arizona, about 40 miles from the Mexican Border. We were sitting outside of the RV. It was about 8:45 pm. Suddenly, my wife noticed a bright stationary light in the northern sky, close to the horizon. I looked quickly and saw it too. From that one bright light, another bright light came out of it, then another, and another until there were four bright lights, all stationary. Then, one by one they merged back into the first light until just the original light was left. The single orb flickered once, then disappeared. No noise, and no movement, other than moving in/out of the original orb.

I stepped out of my casita to check weather and look at the stars about 2300 hours. (I did this most nights when wintering in Arizona.) Weather was clear; no clouds. I was looking west/northwest and at an angle of about 50 degrees watched a small, bright white light blink on and off very quickly followed in one second or so by a much brighter light which lasted only a second. When the second flash of light ended, I noticed a very dim group of white lights in a triangular pattern move from right to left where the light was just a second ago. The individual lights were very small, perhaps as small (or smaller) than a small star, and the entire triangular pattern would have been entirely covered by the the fingernail on my pinky finger held at arm's length, so if that light pattern indicated a vehicle, that vehicle was at a great altitude which I'm estimating at 30,000 feet. About two weeks before this event, I witnessed only one bright light blink on and then off in about 1 second and at an angle of about 35-40 degree while I was looking directly south. There was only that one light during that event, and I noticed no triangular pattern of lights after the flash. I noticed no sound during either event. I checked to see if a rocket had been launched in California at the time of the event mentioned first above, but I don't believe a rocket was launched at that time. I am a retired industrial sales manager who winters in Arizona for a couple of months each year. I have good eyesight. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

My wife and I were returning to Baltimore from San Diego on SWA flight 612 on 3/12/2018. We had been in the air for approximately 90 minutes (4:00 PM PDT) so we were at our cruising altitude of 36,000 to 40,000 ft and I would guess we were somewhere over Arizona in a NE direction. We were sitting on the right side of the plane in row 5 or 6 and I was sitting in the window seat. I looked out the window and I noticed a strange form that was flying alongside the plane and appeared to be looking at me. It was dark/grayish (almost black) in color and while it had defined boundaries to it shape it appeared to be fluidlike in substance. It was traveling alongside the plane and at the same time it was moving in an undulating fashion of up/down and side to side as a snake slithers but mixed in with that was the up/down of a roller coaster – moving in all directions at once. The form had facial like features and appeared to be looking at me. Best guess is that it was less than 100 feet from the plane and there was no observable noise that was heard during this event. The form gathered itself vertically and pulled itself from a length of seven feet into a form that was 12-18 inches in length. It was in the shape of a cylinder much like a gallon of paint and the facial portion of it was still looking at me. It maintained this form for approx. 2-3 seconds and then it turned southwest and disappeared at rocket speed in less than two seconds. I was unable to snap any photos and had no knowledge than anyone else observed what I had observed. I did tell my wife, who was sitting in the aisle seat that I had seen something strange out the window. My thought was that I would speak to the pilots when we landed at BWI and inquire as to whether they had seen what I had seen. Upon landing @ BWI, I realized that the pilots had paperwork/reports to file and would be tied up for a while in the cockpit and that I couldn’t hold up the line of passengers who were ready to get off the plane after being inside it for almost five hours. As we stood up to leave the plane, I did tell my wife that I wish that I had gotten a picture of what I had seen. At this time, the two ladies that were in the row behind my wife and I heard what I said about wishing that I had taken a picture and they excitedly said to me “You saw it too”! I replied yes, I had, and we chatted briefly. They agreed with what I described and saw the same phenomenon that I have detailed here. Here is where I made another mistake by not getting the name of either one of them. I have a close friend who is a retired SWA pilot. I spoke to him last night, 3/18/2018, and he is going to try to attempt to learn the names of the pilot and co-pilot of SWA Flight 612 on 3/12/2018. If he is successful, he will contact them and hopefully give them my contact info or in a worst-case situation, detail to them what I have described here. Occurred approximately 4:05-4-15 PM PDT. I wrote the below description in the notes of my phone within 10 minutes of the above described incident. "Something strange/weird out plane window. Looked like flock of martins (birds), or huge swarm of bugs. Couldn’t get phone unlocked to get picture. Was moving as big black blob, but suddenly swooped up & was gone in an instant the opposite direction that we are heading. Was near our same altitude. Women sitting behind us confirmed what I saw. We talked about it as we were getting off plane. Described same thing that I saw." We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he seemed to us to be quite serious in his demeanor, and sober-minded. We suspect he is an excellent witness, based on our conversation with him. PD

Thursday 8 March 2018 - Gold Canyon AZ - approx 6:50 pm. I was driving N on Mountainbrook Dr. into my subdivision. I noticed a bright orange glowing orb hovering over the houses. It was about at the same height as one of the small mountains in the background (the Superstitions). It was not moving at all & was low enough that this was easily discernable. I stopped my car and groped for my phone - i watched it as i exited the car, but by the time I got to the curb it had already begun ascending straight up into the air - then just disappeared. On this part i could be wrong but it almost appeared as if there were a closed net hanging from the orb. It disappeared before i could get a picture. I returned to the car and drove home - all the while keeping an eye on the sky. The western sky toward Phoenix was just turning dark. There was light cloud cover over the entire area

Just after enjoying the cake on my daughter's second birthday at my parents' home in the Arcadia area of Phoenix, I looked out the dining room window and said, "What's that?" My mother and I went outside to see several silvery-whitish orbs (definitely a metallic glint) in the sky above our home, not sure how high up, but perhaps a half mile? What was remarkable about them was that they were doing what was some kind of coordinated dance; two and three orbs would merge together into one orb, and then would separate again, and spin around each other gracefully. In some cases three orbs would form a triangle with three points, and then merge into one orb again, and then move back into a triangle formation. Other times two orbs would merge, separate, dance around each other, and then merge again. I have seen a number of UFOs in my life, but this was most remarkable, and clearly not of this world. Interestingly, my mother was not able to see them other than saying, "All I see are some glints of metal in the sky." She could not see the orbs merging together, separating, and dancing around each other, although her eye sight is fine. I attempted to film this display, but had a nearly impossible time getting my camera phone to focus on the objects, it seemed like they didn't want to be filmed! So was not able to capture much.

Camping in Coronado National Park, looking towards dragoon town I noticed a batwing shaped object hovering in the distance. Object was stationary for at least 2 hours before sunset and when sunset hit, it was still present. It had no lights and no movement. Source of report provides photo, which appears to show a tiny, dark objects, against an illuminated sky. PD

Bt. roughly 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. local. A series of strange events occurred high up in the flightlevels above Southern Arizona. N71PG, a Learjet 36 belonging to Phoenix Air, and American Airlines Flight 1095, an Airbus A321, had independent close encounters with a strange craft flying at around 40,000 feet. The planes were flying east at about 37,000 feet between the Sonoran Desert National Monument and the New Mexico border when the incident took place. 2018-02-24-FAA-Southern Arizona.mp3

On Feb. 20, 2018, at approximately 11:27 am, we looked up and saw about 15 to 20 objects in the sky. The first sighting appeared to be a line shape, such as a bird formation, then it turned into a spherical type of shape. Objects hovered and danced around each other within that shape for about 6 minutes. They were reflecting the sun light as if they were made of metal or glass. At 11:33 we then went from the backyard to the front yard to observe the objects. It took us about 10 seconds to be out front. When we got there the objects were nowhere to be seen. We stayed out front and kept looking for about 5 minutes. Then at 11:38, they appeared again father north of the first sighting. It appeared that they were going in and out of sight. They were very bright then disappeared. This second sighting lasted about 1 minute and 20 seconds. During this sighting the surrounding areas were extremely quiet, no bird sounds, no plane noise, no nothing. We do live about 10 to 15 minutes from an air force base. Went to my friends house and just as i pulled up in the yard i noticed a fireball just above the trees coming out of the north heading south. It hovered there a few minutes, My friend came out and i said what the hell is that, about that time it took of to the east at a high rate of speed only taking about 10 seconds to reach the gilas. A few minutes later a second one did the same thing then a third. I left and went home. I heard no sound.

I was outside letting my dogs out one at a time, the first dog took about 5 minutes to do her business. Let the next dog out returning the first inside the house. I stepped off the porch and instantly noticed 10 or more red spherical lights in a strange formation, almost as if in a constellation. I quickly went back to the door and asked my sister-in-law to come look at the sky, she too see's the many red lights, we watch for possibly three minutes total. The lights blight ever so slightly and one by one fade away. I cannot get a shot on the camera, the street light in front of me drowning out the lights in the background. As quickly as they came, only one left from the bottom of the formation blinks behind then it too is gone.

Three orange fireballs appeared out of thin air coming straight at us, out of the south, one after another they turned and headed due east! Was able to observe these with Celestron 15x70 Skymaster binoculars. Objects were observed at a 45 degree angle and what I would estimate a thousand feet. These objects then turned, following each other, heading due east over towards the Rincon mountains. Once they had gone from sight, a fourth orange fireball appeared going what seemed to be twice as fast to catch up with the other ones. These all appeared brilliant orange, with the binoculars it was amazing! After talking to all involved with the incident, we agreed that they were the size of a basketball. They were so close and with the binoculars you could see the center was a brighter orange than the outer ring which flowed backward behind the objects as they moved.

Around midnight, my 2 children were walking from Frys on Alma School and Main Street. On the way home, the saw three very bright orange orbs lined up side by side perfectly. They were slowly moving together going East, without making a sound. After 4 minutes, one orb flew away from the formation going Southeast. Eventually the other two lights just vanished. We took a photo and a video as fast as we could.

I was observing the Orion Nebula with my 8" telescope when I first noticed a reflection of an object rapidly flashing blue, red, green, white, and possibly other colors. I looked up and saw the object – it was close enough to distinguish that the flashing lights were in different positions on the object, but I could not make out its shape. I thought it was an airplane at first, but instead of it flying on a particular heading it was traveling upward and outward with a rocket-like trajectory. However, there was smoke trail it as one would expect with a rocket. Additionally, it did not emit any sound. When I first looked up, the object was about 70 degrees above the south-south-west horizon in the Aries constellation (near the "41 Arietus" star). The object traveled in an outward trajectory, heading south-south-east toward the Orion constellation, but curving downward toward the Eridanus and Lepus constellations. I called my wife out to see it, and she saw it the last couple of minutes as it was leaving. I tried to track it with my telescope, but it was moving too fast. As the multicolored flashing object was moving away it became smaller and fainter to see, until it disappeared completely between the "54 Eridani" and the "Epsilon Leporis" stars, near the Eridanus and Lepus IUA boundaries. The only difference between this object's trajectory and a rocket's trajectory is that it never "flattened" out – in other words, the object continued on a semi-parabolic trajectory, as if it were heading into space. Also, the object appeared to vary its speed, but seemed to continue at a fast and constant speed as it disappeared. It took around 4 minutes for it to traverse the arc described above, and it definitely was traveling faster than a rocket. About 3 minutes after it disappeared, a passenger jet flying west to east flew at an unusually low and flat altitude of about 1,000' to 1,500' above the ground, and it flew right over our house. It was close enough to see the passenger windows and its configuration (either a 737 or an Airbus A320). I presumed it was landing at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (aka, Williams Gateway), which is about 10 miles away from Chandler. This particular plane was abnormally low, which could suggest that "something" was detected by radar, and that the plane was flying low as a precaution.

2018/02/01, 18:35. 31°48.23265' N 111°2.66742' W – Green Valley, AZ. Driving up Calle Tres, almost to Via Montana Vista, 7-9 identically-sized white lights, evenly spaced in a straight horizontal line, directly ahead of me, low in the sky. Notes: *The lights alternated on/off in what looked like signaling, then all turned off. I don't know if every single light turned on/off, or in what order they did so. *I'm not good at estimating size or distance, and it was dark, but my impression was that it was airliner size, maybe a 727's wingspan. My first reaction was that it WAS an airliner, but that it was far too close to the ground. Because I couldn’t see the mesquite ahead of me, I can’t guess how high up it was – it just felt “really close” to the ground for something so large. *I was driving home from work. It was after sunset - 18:35 - and the sky was dark to the west. *I observed the UFO for approximately 1 minute, driving up Calle Tres. As I stopped at the T intersection, the UFO had disappeared (lights all off). It did not reappear, that I could see, after I'd turned south/left, although it now would have been on the passenger side of my car, so would have been difficult/impossible to see if it did. *The area over which the UFO was is State Land - no buildings of any sort. There are recreation vehicle trails through this, but I don't believe there is land at the elevation at which I observed the UFO (upon which ATVs could have been gathered). And, would ATVs be able to turn headlights on/off independently? I did, definitely, see that lights next to each other were independent of each other in turning on/off. I did not hear any ATV sounds. *Sierrita Mountains are west, and just north, of my location. There is a lot of mining going on there, and a mining equipment sales area which shoots off fireworks when they make a sale. This was not fireworks of any type I have ever seen: fireworks don't go on/off at each spot of light, nor are the spots identical and evenly spaced. The known fireworks are shot off quite a distance from my location, but I can hear the reports; there was no sound. *There is a lot of activity from Davis-Monthan AFB over my area, and a lot of BP plane & helicopter activity, as well. I'm used to these, but there was no mechanical noise of any sort. There was no discernable movement, either - the line of lights was stationary the entire (albeit short) time I observed it. *I was playing music in the car, so might have missed fireworks reports, but would have heard an airplane/helicopter. *Coincidentally, a few nights later, I watched the Smithsonian documentary about the solar plane's flight around the world - there was a definite similarity to the night shots of that craft landing - the long row of lights. However, on the UFO, there were no other lights typical of known aircraft - no smaller red or green wing/tail lights, no rhythmic blinking of the white lights. And, again, a known aircraft would make noise, would not turn off all lights at once, would have exploded if it hit the ground. *I had an impression of a V shape, but that could've been subjective interpretation, since I couldn’t see any body shape, only the lights. *I don't know much about drones - are they quiet? And, if drones, why would they all turn their lights off at once? It would have to have been multiple drones, or one huge single drone. Observer: 61-year-old female. Have never before seen a UFO. Have lived in same location for 19 years. Educated, intelligent, logic-based.

Driving down a road, I turned towards the driver of the car to say something, as I was in the passenger seat. I jokingly said that tonight is a perfect night to see a ufo, the driver didn’t believe in ufos. As I turned back to look out the window, we saw a white light in the sky, we thought it was a plane. I made another snark comment and as I was saying this, more lights showed up next to the original light, it stayed in place. There was one light on either side of the original light and both lights were blinking but not the middle light. I asked the driver and the person in the backseat if they saw what I was seeing. They said yes and stopped the car. All of a sudden, more lights showed up and they stopped blinking. You could see the outline of the craft, a circular shape but it blended in with the evening sky, it was almost invisible as you could say but the lights (about 8 of them) and the outline was all you could see. It all happened so fast too, as soon as it was there it was gone and now the skeptics that were in the car now believe. I wish I could see it again it was amazing! I was driving home sometime between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm local time. My step father was on the phone in the passenger seat, my step aunt was in the backseat, passenger-side. We were heading East while I was driving and several lights come to my attention at about my 11 o’clock position and approximately 15-20 degrees above the horizon. I witnessed a weird formation of lights I have not witnessed before. The duration of the lights was brief, maybe 2-4 seconds duration in total. But it was the formation that stood out to me, it was like a WV, W\, or possibly a M/\, or M/. But it appeared that it was either 1 craft or a tightly-formed flying fleet. The thing that I remember is typically when I view the Cassiopeia constellation, it’s in the ‘W’ formation from my reference and during the brief encounter I had, it seemed like it was a ‘WV’ formation with the lights (it was in that same W formation, but with a few more lights, I was tempted to select the Chevron shape for this report, but that would indicate I saw multiple crafts). I recall it being similar in the form of the Cassiopeia constellation, but the lights were as bright as incoming planes. Initially I thought they were incoming planes, but the fact that I saw 1 of the lights dim and then disappear, while the others quickly followed in-sync with each other; this made me want to find out if anyone else saw those lights. I do know that there are homes in that direction and the possibility of drones with lights on them could be entirely possible, which would explain their low altitude. But it was a quick encounter with strange lights in a formation, that I can’t explain. Another thing I should add, while it’s fresh in my mind is that the lights appeared to be the same color and the same distance away, though at night I’m sure that’s hard to tell. They had like a regular airplane color, not one of the fancy white/blue colored lights (like a halogen color). Each light also appeared to be symmetrical, in terms of the spacing and angles between each other. It was weird. For some reason, witness indicates that the date above is approximate. PD

The object was heading south towards central Phoenix. It was glowing bright red. And only four stories high in the air. When the object came closer to me, it was engulfed in flames. Glowing white in the middle of it. No sound was coming from the object.

Listen, I just looked out of my front window and noticed what I thought was Venus. But what caught my eye immediately, was its erratic movement. It moved slightly up, down, across---and sometimes it appeared to make a half circle. The movements weren't all across the sky, either. This took place in a very small area. A family member told me it was Venus due to atmospheric temperatures. Is this true? Anyway, I've been looking at Venus all my life and never seen it move. Period. What I've read about the planet is usually about its natural movement around the sun, and its distance from Earth. Possible sighting of Sirius?? PD

Observed from SanTan freeway (north bound) headed toward Apache Juction (by Mesa Gateway Airport). Northern Sky. Observed 8 to 10 lights in very tight proximity to each other. A perfect horizontal line of lights. The light on the left turned on first then it turned off as the light next to the right turned on and so on, then repeat. There was 1/2 seconds between transitions. These were very bright, others also had to see these lights. The lights were bright amber in color.

Object was orange-yellow in color. No noticeable aircraft markers or strobes. Seemed to drop in altitude and leveled off at tree level when I first noticed it. Object was traveling from north to south and looked to be just east of the 10-free way. No sound but distance may of masked if any. Moved rather quickly covering a distance from just east of Maricopa, AZ. to south toward Tucson, AZ. Lost sight as object moved beyond ground obstructions. I was standing in my back yard with patio light on and once I noticed object I turned the light off. Was over cast sky not sure of ceiling.

I'm in Lehi when it happened (North Mesa Arizona) The First Time was 7-10 minutes. The Second time was longer. At First was 5 or 6 but would dissipate when you caught a glimpse of them. The Color was Orange Hazy but each one was like 3 points of light that formed a upside down triangle (flying in formation like ducks )

My wife was on the balcony, saw something in the sky and called me outside. When I saw these orbs (4 to 7 at one time) hoverig, then ascending, then descending etc. I immediately got my phone and asked my wife to get hers. I knew these were orbs because of the way they moved. They almost danced in the night sky, one ot two changed from white to reddish, then green, yellow or gold and back to bright white like a star, at first in unison then some faded away, the others then continued to change their position until at the end there were three left which lined up vertically one over the other at which point they merged into one. When it appeared to be just one it changed into many colors off and on, changed shape and fizzled out and drifted away towards the east and down from our view point. I have seen other sightings in my life but none his impressive. We have over 40 pictures. we have viewed these on my PC using zoom of course and have discovered some things ! we had not noticed that night. These images shoe shape and structure, also lights and dark angles that were at first unseen.
