They travelled southeast to northeast then disappeared. Then another appeared instantly from the same direction, headed the same way then disappeared. Then 2 more did the same thing all within 4 to 6 mintues. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. For some reason we do not understand, witness indicates that the dat of the alleged sighting is approximate. Hoax?? PD

This is the second day I have seen these 3 lights in the sky over Chicago....there are no stars to be seen anywhere in the sky and there are only a few aircraft in the sky I can see and verified with flightradar24 app. 2 of the lights are to the south of me looking over Willis tower and the other is much closer to my west almost directly over me...these 3 lights do not seem to be moving at all and are brighter than anything else in the sky. from my position there were 2 lights hovering above the willis tower (looking south), and 1 light to the west(looking west and almost right above me). I sat and watched the lights for 30 min and they never changed position in the sky. I observed planes in the air moving in the background behind these objects. I knew the other objects were planes because they had red flashing lights on them, unlike the 3 objects i saw which had no change in light color and never changed in intensity. I followed the lights which appeared to flash periodically and they were red and green. It was a clear night with no clouds in the sky and almost full moon. At one point the lights turned off, then turned on, then off again,and finally turn back to stay. The lights appeared to eventually lean to the right. The lights traveled from the northeast to the southwest. I had called my wife to tell her what I saw and and our kids looked outside and could see it too, even when I was 25 miles away from home. I drove from Winnebago County to Stephenson County till it was getting late and I was not catching up to it. Witness provides no contact information. PD

Saw a triangle shaped lights in sky around 19:00 in the Avondale neighborhood in Chicago. Lights were no more than 3k to 4k agl. They were going in a northerly direction. They were not too bright an amber color. About a minute into seeing them they made a sharp turn west, seemed to go up and disappeared.

A light silver rectangle aircraft moved silently north to northwest on the northwest edge of Charleston. The crows in the area were cawing loudly at the object as it slowly flew over. The color of the aircraft wasn't a normal silver or gray airplane hue. It was quite pretty with what appeared to be a sparkle in the sunlight.

I was with my wife recycling at the recycle bins. The clouds looked like whip cream so I was trying out my new camera mx app filters. I put it on negative and noticed a black dot moving between the water tower and the American flag. I lost it. We drove away. However, I continued filming the sky. Later when looking back at the video I noticed something that looked cloaked flying over the car. Upon further investigation I found that the black dot was actually a part of a triangle of dots moving in unison and other dark areas moved with them. The drive also catched many other unidentified flying objects. The video mist be watched to be believed. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) I reported a cloaked ufo by our water tower in Mattoon , Ill. The event happened on 2/13/2018. I believe . I have attached a screenshot of my report in your site. This sighting has been debunked by myself. It was filmed with a negative filter and recently I learned to reverse the filter and the cloaked ufo is in fact something on the windshield. Hopefully you can take this down or mark it as identified. I had some crazy captures on video of various things . And I've spent hours upon hour frame by frame on them. Most often finding more going on . But , the water tower (thankfully) has been debunked. I racked my brain dealing with that video and all the questions and reality checks that come with a capture of any kind. Last thing I want is to hurt myself credibility and the ufo community as a fake video when it is actually just a mistake. The Alton Il news paper , in 2018,named Illinois as the Hotspot for that year. And it reprinted report from your/our website. Im not from that town. Never even been there. But I was reading the article and saw the 1st one was from my town Mattoon. Im reading it and to my wife that some body must've been seeing it the same time we did. It wasn't long before I realized that "somebody " was my wife and myself. It was my report . 2 reports of 5 from my town. We were driving home and I turned to look to before turning right, when I first saw 8 bright lights. Four of them went left and the lights went to a small twinkle. Five bright lights remained and changed formation a bit but stayed mostly together. It appeared to have flashing lights that moved in a circular motion. This is the second time we have seen these lights. Previous occasion, through binoculars, the craft appeared very large and in somewhat of a triangular shape. They hovered for quite some time and moved in all directions with ease and great speed. Helicopters were heard before lights were seen.

Driving northbound on I-55 around mile marker 178/179, a very bright light was observed and appeared to be hovering around 150-200 yards up. As we got closer, we noticed 2 white lights and one red flashing light on the back point of the triangular snap. The object appeared large with nothing observed to be holding it up. It did not move the entire time it remained in sight.

We witnessed a flash of red light streak across the sky from east to west in the southwestern sky, and then stop, flashing red and green lights with no discernible pattern. It moved erratically in the sky, sometimes with great speed other times slowly, way above airplane traffic then what seemed like below, then above again, at one point seeming like it might collide with an airlplane. It retreated, becoming so small it was a pinpoint high in the sky, then with the blink of an eye was close, large again, spiraling around as if it was going to crash, then traveled slowly earthward until we lost sight of it behind a 3 story building. This was against a dark, clear sky, illuminated with alley lights, and plane traffic lined up going into O’hare airport. There was a sound, like a whirring buzz or whine. We both felt pressure in our heads with the sound. We both still feel sensitivity in our ears.

I live in Romeoville. was outside one my back portch and saw in the sky toward Chicago blue flashes across sky and no way was it fire works or deplays from a light display because there were no clouds for the what ever I saw to reflect from they were traveling down and side to side in a very fast motion someone else had to have seen it, too, because it wasn't anything I have ever seen before. About a mile north of town, Witness reported a shiny, reflective, cigar-shaped object pass over his field of vision while driving on highway 26. The object went from NW to the E over the horizon before leaving his FOV. About 45 seconds later, a second object appeared in the NW and again passed over him. Halfway through it appeared to descend suddenly straight down without changing its angle, like a helicopter. It descended for 3-4 seconds before heading in the same direction as the first object. A third object appeared from the NW and followed roughly the same direction as the previous two. Entire encounter lasted roughly 6-7 minutes or less. (MUFON CMS)

I was facing south driving and Witnessed two elongated cigar shape craft that were self-illuminating near the middle of the sunset which was to my right (west). One was hovering to the west going northwest direction lower to the ground moving horizontally slowly. The other was simultaneously moving in opposite direction faster. Was identical size and also self-illuminating. No blinking lights on either looked like giant glow sticks but did not have a bright aura. No wings, gear or trails. Just long glowing cigar like craft rounded off on each end. The 2nd one was going south-east bound moving from the first one. It was moving faster and on an angle going upward away about 40 degrees. The first one remained on a horizontal pattern moving north-west. I tried to find a place to pull over from the highway but various trees kept blocking and no room on side of the highway. I knew of a parking area at the next intersection so chose to drive there to pull over o! n rte 20 and IL-47. I watched the 2nd one moving at the 40-degree angle start to speed off and then all of a sudden it moved so fast it was gone. I could still see the first one moving northwest but it also started speeding up but slowly. I turned onto the next street (rte 20) and then pulled over into a parking lot after the gas station. As I got out of the car to take a photo now facing westbound towards the sunset and Rockford, IL there was nothing left in the sky except the sunset. I scanned sky from north to west to south and back again. Nothing. No streaks, no lights, no planes. The distance and size of these things in the sunset is hard to estimate but one thing is for sure is they were huge. Football field length or larger. The glowing self-illumination is what shocked me. They were like a bright yellow-white light with pure white in center, no blinking, no radiance outward just self-contained.

Stepped outside to have a smoke and stargaze on a cold and clear morning. As I'm looking at the brightest stars I see a bright white flash high in the sky not far from a bright star I was looking at. I thought maybe it was a meteor but I kept my eyes focused on the spot I saw the flash. A few seconds later a second flash in the exact same spot. Then another flash. Then a slightly longer flash, and then a few seconds later and it flashed again, in the same spot in the sky but slightly dimmer and I could tell it was further away. Then one last flash still dimmer and further away before it was, I guess, out of view? Bright white flashes, brief with no pattern or rhythm, maybe 5 or 6 total. Slightly brighter than any star, and the flashes were quick except for the longer flash which seemed to be a build up, dim out type of flash.

Two star like object one flew over the top of me hovered over the top of me. Didn't make any noise real bright like a star thought it might be a plane but I didn't see any red or green lights couldn't make out any wings it hovered over the top of me it was so bright I couldn't make out any shape it had a dark bottom and real bright on top I looked down for about 20 seconds it was already in deep space and then I seen the other one fly across the sky to the exact same spot a disappeared

Glanced up above a local restaurant to find a triangular object hovering in the sky. Observed it for about 10 more seconds before it disappeared in a swift and very fast motion into the distance. Seemed to have an outline or glow that appeared to have a slight blue tint or hue.

Very bright orange rotating lights at just above ground level in open field directly behind row of houses. We woke up to bright flashing lights on our window. Went onto deck and could see a row of orange lights on ground and a globe like set of rotating lights about 20 feet from the row of lights on ground. Attempted to take picture with iPad and will email enlarged picture?

I was watching TV in my bedroom when a strange bright, blue orb passed across my shade drawn window right in front of my that I was facing. It was going from east to west as I looked south. It crossed the top half of the window width in about 2-3 seconds, falling at approximately a 25 degree angle. I had my bedroom light on so to see it through my ratfia type shades it had to be very bright. I thought it could be a meteor, large drone or UFO and thought it was going to crash some where into the area in the fields by Connors Rd or just west toward Rt 47. I quickly jumped up and went to the window in the bathroom where it had no shades to see if there was fire in the nearby field. Didn't see any. Went out onto the front porch to look and listen and heard many dogs or coyotes barking. It was so unusual that I decided to get in my car and drive down the road to see if I could see some crash or fire. I went down Red Gate the next street south to see if it was perhaps closer. Drove down to the T with my lights off looking to the south to see if I could see anything. I didn't see anything unusual, so I went further to Conners Rd. I drove down it to the West, also with my lights off looking on both sides of the road. Didn't see anything so I turned around half way up the hill before Rt 47 then drove back to Kendall. When I came to the stop sign at Connors and Kendall, I looked South and saw a large Black SUV type vehicle with headlights off, but yellow parking lights on, near the Woodlands entrance but on the East side of the road. It was strange as I couldn't imagine a car stopped there unless it had seen it to. I thought about stooping to ask them if they had seen it, but it didn't feel right being there, so I didn't. I drove back home, parked in the garage, got out of the car and immediately heard a Helicopter overhead going west near to me and then just past Rt. 47. I went out onto the driveway to see if I could spot it and immediately heard a second Helicopter that seemed to be coming up from the south along Rt 47 west of me. All of this had taken place in under 15 minutes. I stayed out in the middle of the dark driveway for about 3 or 4 minutes until I didn't hear the helicopters anymore. ((Dog's name deleted)) was barking inside the house so I closed the garage door and went inside to calm him. I then opened the front door and went onto the porch to listen. I didn't hear anything more. No helicopters or strange sounds, or lights even at that point--probably about 9:50 pm. It was all very strange and I now think maybe some type of UFO fell nearby and the helicopters were out scouting or retrieving. The large Black SUV could have been Men in Black as the car gave me a strange feeling, big, dark, tinted windows I think, and in a strange country road location to stop and pull over. After I had a chance to think about it all, it was just very unusual.

Very bright, electric blue orb seen through window shade at night. It flashed by quickly but I saw it with the room lights on. Was falling about 20 degrees, going east to west direction. Thought it was a meteor crashing in our extremely rural area, most likely in cornfields just SW of us. Got in the car to see where in the fields nearby it crashed. Couldn't spot it after about 10 minutes search, so drove back home. As soon as I pulled into driveway, heard a helicopter going overhead from W to E. Within a few minutes another helicopter came in from the south with in an eighth of a mile they landed, as I did not hear them flying off in the distance further to the west.

First observed from the downtown Naperville area, a small red light that appeared stationary above a Walgreen's located at the intersection across from the parking garage where my car was parked for the evening. It was about 5:50 P.M. on a clear evening; no stars were out yet and no planes or other aircraft were observed for the evening. The light was clearly artificial, but there hadn't been any typical air traffic; the light was out of place. I was across the street from the Walgreen's, waiting for the traffic light to change so that I could get to my car in the parking garage, observing. It wasn't moving when I first observed it, yet the light was blinking to no apparent rhythm: sometimes it would blink rapidly, other times it blink once, then stop blinking for several seconds before starting again. It would flash red, then appear to vanish, only to blink red again. I was curious, and flashed the flashlight on my phone at it, mimicking its own flashing. It flashed back, and then stopped flashing for an extended period of time. When the light finally turned (after I took a quick series of photos) I crossed the street and headed the down the block towards the garage. However, I noticed something odd; the red light wasn't behind me as it should have been if it was still stationary. If it had just been hovering I should have passed it by, leaving it behind me. I should have had to look behind me in order to keep it in view, not in front. Curious, I stopped walking abruptly. In that short instance of my pause, I caught it moving a few degrees more to the west before it stopped. I took more photos and kept walking. In front of the garage, across from the municipal center, there is a relatively empty, small parking lot. I stopped there and flashed my flashlight once more in a series of rapid bursts at the light; there was no response this time. Once more the light was stationary. I took the stairs up to the fourth floor (where my car was), and looked out the gaps between the floors. The light was still there, stationary, blinking slowly. I took another series of quick photos. Leaving the downtown area to get home, I hoped out loud that I wouldn't see it coming after the car. I don't recall seeing it after I left. I don't know if it was still there when i pulled out of the garage, but I know for sure that it didn't follow me back to my house. I’ve seen a lot of air traffic in my neighborhood, but I have never seen anything like it. This light was way too high in the sky to be a plane or a helicopter, not to mention that I’ve never seen one act or move like this light did. Later discovering a video I took with my phone that I hadn't noticed before, I saw another object come out of nowhere during the last two seconds of the video. Green, and flying out of nowhere exactly that I pinpoint, it was much larger than the red light, didn't blink, and wasn't noticed while I filmed. I don’t recall seeing that object/light before the viewing the video. Zooming into the photo shows a weird green shape.

My husband and i were getting out of our car and walking to the house, when I looked up and saw a sequence of four lights in a row. It was in the east. They were flashing from left to right. I've never seen any plane or helicopter do anything like this. They looked like chaser lights on a bar way up. I told my husband about the strange lights that weren't moving and he didn't look, he went into the house. I watched for a few more minutes, then kind of blew it off until now. To know others may have saw something that night is why I'm coming forward.
