The report, as filed
On a cloudless night while sitting on my back porch watching the sunset, a ball of bright diffused white light passed from west to east at the general speed of a jet but without any blinking lights and no noise. It was much lower and brighter than a high flying jet. At one point, a donut shaped plume could be seen moving out in front (not behind) of the light ball. As it passed overhead, the diffused light in front could be seen but the light source was no longer visible. I have a one minute video.
