The report, as filed
Large enough to look like a planet, we saw an orb hovering above and slightly to the right of the moon. Seemed ‘normal’ for a couple minutes until it started a steady descent straight down, halfway to the horizon line. It then stopped, hovered, in one place, reducing size for about 30 seconds before it disappeared. No visible trail. No wavering. Movement seemed direct and with intent. Very odd indeed.
