The report, as filed
My husband and I let the dogs out before bed. The sky night was clear. Stars were visible. A single bright light that, from our perspective, resembled a star, being the same size and brightness of those around, was moving southwards in a regular pathway across the sky. The speed was measured yet steady and the trajectory smooth and straight. It had no red lights anywhere and no blinking lights so did not seem to be a plane. There was no sound.
