The report, as filed
The eastern sky camera views the area of sky to my east and trees in my back paddock are used as reference points for the FOV. Camera is a 4K 15fps 2.8mm in night exposure mode with no form of camera illumination. In the frames preceding the object entering the FOV it illuminates the top of a reference tree which is known to be 70m (229ft) from the camera. It is raining heavily and the object leaves a light trail and wake through the rain which is consentient with its shape and size. The object appears to vanish instantly leaving the light trail which dissipates shortly after. Footage link... The NZDF released its UFO files in 2010; further records answer to the Official Information Act 1982.
