As reported

Sphere over East Middlebury, VT

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was letting my dog out for his morning piss around 4:30/4:25 AM and I look up, I see all the stars and I see the constellations, then I see 2 kinda dark blue/almost a grey orbs going one way, and I think a 3rd going another way but I don’t remember, so I stare at them thinking its just my imagination, they were not moving very fast but too fast to be a drone and too slow to be any aircraft, the way they were flying was really unsettling for some reason also it’s like they weren’t 2 objects but 1 really long one and if that’s the case it would be bigger then a football field, when I realized I should record it I tried to pull my phone out they were already gone like I just spaced out and watched them go. But next thing I know I already let my dog inside and it’s 5:45 AM. I had a very uneasy feeling in my gut so I went inside and locked my doors

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #175060). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
