Light over Glenn’s ferry, ID

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was sitting outside with my friend in the evening about 10 PM or so on my porch and I noticed out of the corner of my eye a pretty bright flash in the southern sky. I asked my friend if he saw that flash and he didn’t see the first one, but with in about 10 or 15 seconds, there was a bright light that appeared in the same spot, shot forward, and dimmed out. We both saw this happen. About 10 seconds or so pass, a light appears in the spot as before, flew about the same distance and dimmed out. The strangest part about it was that the light or lights, lit up in the same spot every time. It it was brighter than the satellites I’m used to seeing and moved much faster than any satellite I’ve seen. It wasn’t a string of lights , it was NOT starlink, I am sure of that because I have seen starlink several times. It was one light at a time. This same pattern went on about 15 or twenty times. Sky’s were totally clear, no cloud cover. After this activity seemed to stop , I saw that there were several different moving objects in the sky.I was looking all over and counted at least five in different directions. These objects were not aircraft ( not planes or helicopters or drones) they seemed to be much further away, smaller, dimmer and didn’t seem to be moving on a straight path. I do not know if these dim light had anything to do with the main incident I’m reporting, but i did see them immediately afterwards.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #171611). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
