Light over North Ferrisburgh, VT

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

My housemate got my attention and asked me to come outside. She pointed to a bright orange light in the sky to the south of my house. It pulsates sort of and had beams of light making it look almost “furry.” She had been watching it a minute or so before she called me out. She said it had been moving too quickly for a plane. It was much brighter than any sort of star or planet, and flashing/radiating light. It had been moving East to west horizontally but then stopped for a bit before diminishing in size and disappearing to the south.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #171370). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
