Light over Red Creek, NY

The report, as filed

Figured it was just an aircraft or drone maybe. Never seen anything like this change length and brightness then fade quickly. Appeared dim then got brighter and changed length, thin, short to long appeared to be white dot type lights. White lights in a line. From the distance we were at, guessing about a a couple of miles from the shore. At that distance I’d say about 100 feet + long or more and guessing around a few miles up. Appeared, got brighter, lengthened then faded out like someone turning a dimmer switch. No noise from where we were. Tried to get a video with my IPhone but was too dark and far to appear in my screen. Very dark star lit night. We did see other aircraft in the sky, but not at that altitude. Lasted about 3 minutes maybe 5. Four of us saw this. My wife and I , and my two neighbors that were sitting with us. Please note this is at my summer home in Red Creek NY. Can contact me if you wish, but not necessary, but felt it was necessary to report this, especially during global conflicts with Russia, China etc. and knowing Fort Drum is not too far away.
