Sphere over Wenonah, NJ

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

White shiny sphere was spotted hovering 50 degrees above horizon. We live on flight path to PHL airport see planes all day. This was not a plane and hovered under the approach altitude. Began to slowly move south then sharply turned east and slightly picked up speed and went out of sight. Seen by wife and kids as well. Too low to be a plane, too large to be a drone. Made no sound. There’s a possibility is was rotating as it reflected sunlight then did not, maybe some black color on the top. Also at times looked like it was emanating light smoke or mist.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #171092). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
