The white dot, assumed was a satellite coming from west going east, if illuminated briefly for a few seconds, for by 39 others, not, all illuminated. Did check satellite tracker, initially thought it was Elon Musks StarLink, but they are not scheduled over my area, and have seen this in Jersey on holiday, they appeared illuminated a lot longer and were different.

What would the paper say?
UK sighting reports were handled by the MoD's UFO desk until 2009; later records answer to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, earlier files sit at the National Archives.
