Sphere over Marienville, PA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Employee of Facility. Was walking to a housing unit. There was a staff member holding the door for me, she says "hey what you think that is?" I turned around and looked up and observed a very bright shinny silver ball. Looked high up and was hovering but changing altitude. Would go high then lower. Then vanished after a minute or so. I was shocked. I kept looking up and observed a dark gray almost moon grey moving very high altitude but traveling across the sky quickly. I observed that for 20 seconds or so. I looked at the staff member I was with and said are you seeing this, she said oh my God yes. I looked back up and again observed a bright shinny object but it had shifted to another part of the sky and appeared to float up and down. For a couple minutes.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #173925). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
