Light over Monroe, MI
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
The time is approximate but it was somewhere around 4:30 am when I went out to take a bag of trash out. I looked up at the night sky as I usually do and saw a very fast moving light heading from north to south/ slightly southeast. It looked like it was very high up and was only visible for about 6 seconds before the light dimmed and then went completely dark and was no longer visible. It covered quite a distance in the short time I saw it and appeared to be moving faster than any earthly craft that I know of.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #167798). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Same sphere turned white, navy blue, black then invisible. Size no bigger than a small medical tablet A sphere with big rivots and a central band. Formed a triangle under Canis major, then next night was down and left of dipper. Could be a satellite, but the coloration of light reflected would not coinside with the colors that were represented. Witness indicates that the date above is approximate. PD
