Light over Babb, MT

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Just sharing an experience my boys and I had last night. Me and three of my boys were out in our hot tub looking up at the stars, which is pretty common for us on an evening, we frequently see satellite activity, and airplanes and point out constellations and specific stars. It was a very clear moonless night, with 0 light pollution. At the same time, three of us each noticed a different "satellite" moving seemingly slowly, across the sky from different directions. They all converged into an exact isosceles triangle, not very far above us in the NE sky. The triangle then spun in a clockwise direction three times, putting the three "lights" each back into their original positions in the triangle. They then spread from each other a small distance at the same speed, then disappeared. My boys were all exclaimed, "whoa, we should have videoed that!".

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #167362). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
